  1. Really.........???? The battery is for central locking, the fob transponder is what communicates with the car via a ring of "wire" around the ignition keyhole and the transponder chip in the key fob.. ...
  2. Worth a try, get a new battery for the key fob, she can get that done easy in town at a key place. If the key battery is flat, it will not lock the car.
  3. They may have a problem, and you are perhaps in the queue for a reply.....
  4. No, it was Mrs.Trans thoughts/words, I don't speak or understand Thai.......???? Did I touch a nerve, is your bird covered in gold....? ????
  5. Can't say I have ever heard of counterfeit tyres, out of shelf life dates, yes. But, If the tyre sidewall script says "Dunlup" or "Blidgestone", then walk away.....???? Remember, the tyres must have the encircled "E" on the sidewall, if not, again, walk away..????
  6. I wouldn't worry too much, many classic cars are laid up for years with probs. If it was parked up when dry then it should be a breeze, just start it a treat it gently getting to B-Quik to change the oil. Oh, check tyre pressures if you can. Test the A/C is working OK, A/C should not be left for long periods without being energised every month or so...
  7. I have never had a Thai talk about their wealth, but most who have a good job always tell me about their position. The well off Thais ladies I know rarely walk around covered in gold at any event, but I have seen Thai women who found their farang with a few quid, plastered in the stuff, which most Thai folk look at as being tacky and on a lady that has never had anything, so shows off.. I went to a funeral at a very poor Thai village, it really was an eye-opener, anyhoooo, another farang turned up wiv his Thai wife, gold rings on near all fingers and gold necklaces, it was embarrassing, and for me a bit off for the obviously poor folk in attendance who I guess had their thoughts about her previous employment ....????
  8. Over inflating ruins the ride quality, our newish Yamaha Grand Filano Hybrid has 30F/33R, same as our old PCX, it is a better ride than the PCX too, but, many of the road surfaces where I am are cr_p.....????
  9. 30 front, 33 rear...
  10. 120 bht Truncheon, but how much was the "man bag".....????
  11. Yes I read that, but it was about the cost of the thing, a "Nissan Merc", as I thought..
  12. I hope ordinary Russians watch this stuff, if they can, they will realise they are being taken back into the dark ages by a fruitcake, instead of moving forward being like the majority of the rest of Europe, free and integrated ... But, as with other fruitcakes, Hitler, Mussolini etc, their time came...????
  13. Mercedes (Nissan) and the Nissan pickup were assembled on the same assembly line, that is why I am interested in your post regarding quality etc.....????
  14. Yes, the Vigo is gone and now a Revo with a different "timing chain" engine.. Have you a link regarding Merc dumping Nissan because of quality issues..?
  15. Must be different in my area then, as it has been OK'd.... As I said, no rain water or roof overhang on another's land..
  16. Mercedes basically used the Nissan truck for their truck offering, though I think now they abandoned the truck thing via low sales (price). My thought is, Merc pulled one apart to see if it came up to their standard, which it did, though the V6 offering did have quite a few differences.. Yes, the trusty Vigo is a well put together long-lasting ride, but the Nissan is well worth looking into, in my humble opinion....????
  17. .....like Transam............????....................????
  18. They should have a foot switch operated siren that would wake up the dead...................????.......................☺️
