Weeeell, as I have posted, I have taken care of a few PC's for folk with results they and I were happy with. Done mainly with easy fixes because the owners never did the fundamentals. Nobody here can say my fixes didn't work because they did.....???? Many years ago I gave a PC problem to a shop, on starting the thing up I find stuff missing, so for years I have been fooling around finding fixes, it has been good fun...................????

My PC is old, I dare not tell you how I keep it running as fast as it can, but it does have an SSD holding the Windows stuff, I also have a new 1TB HDD for back-up and storage, it's all tickety-boo........???? PS..Sorry to hear you don't update your drivers........Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. ????

I have posted a few easy starters for the OP, not you, the OP... I rarely get involved with PC stuff here because there are always folk like yourself who want to go off on a tangent. ????

I disagree, I have a few happy customers, after I did some very basic stuff........ If you are talking short start-up times etc, that is a different matter, it seems the OP's thingy has just got slow because it hasn't had regular fixes...????

You must remove all the junk. You must ensure drivers are up to date. Start with a few simple fix free downloads that you will have no problem using. 1. Norton Power Eraser. 2. IObit Advanced System Care. 3. IObit Driver Booster. 4. Click on > Settings>Updates and Security>Updates. See what happens for starters.....☺️

I have no idea, but I do know that LOS is full of crashed rides for engines and all the ancillary stuff... The problem with the OP's engine, is that nobody really knows the hidden problems the water lose caused, that are not seen with the eye, warpage, cracks, who knows what. Would hate to see a lot of money spent on a 28 year old engine which does have a hidden agenda...????
