  1. So why didn't the Chinese use a Chinese name if it is a far superior product to the MG of yesteryear, why in their ads do they say "Since 1924"...?
  2. I know, the drawings etc are done there, all part of the Brit MG thing, but the manufactured product has nothing to do with the UK, unless they have changed something...????
  3. Then you haven't read their sales advertising.......????.......????
  4. MG was a brand bought up by the British Motor Corporation, when BMC collapsed BMW bought the remaining Rover Group which MG was part of. BMW sold the MG name to the Chinese motor co. SAIC. They use the MG brand name and history to sell their Chinese rides, they even have a Union Jack flag with Brit written on it on the boot. ☹️
  5. I have a friend with a 5.7 Chevy V8 in a Fiat 500, another with a 6.3 V8 in a 1971 Vauxhall Firenza, 7.5 Ford V8 in a 1939 Willys, they all have traction built in, though none of them are anywhere near 1000hp, but good fun. Here is the Willys, showing its traction on a street in London ..????
  6. 998cc Suzuki Celerio 68hp. 998cc Mini Cooper, 55hp. 970cc Mini Cooper S 65hp. 1071cc Mini Cooper S 70hp. 1275cc Mini Cooper S 76hp. Suzuki Celerio, 4 doors, more glass, driven A/C pump, E-power steering, much bigger car, bigger wheels. ????

  13. Here it s.....
  14. Here is the actual VW camper van, behind the Escort, the only pic I have. From factory, it had a 2000cc Audi 4 pot laying on a side angle, loads of room when removed for a 5.7 Chevy small block V8 with a TH350 auto... Sadly we could not get a different ratio ring gear for the axle, so huge diameter tyres were sourced to bring the cruising revs down... But it was a blast at the stop light drags, it had a badge on the back, "CHEVYDUB"...????
  15. Hang one, I will check I posted the right VW van type photo....????
  16. OP, it's called having fun... I recall one of these thrashing a Ferrari on the strip, great fun......???? I personally put a Chevy V8/auto in a VW camper, similar to below...????
  17. The CVT is made by Jatco, now part owned by Nissan, Mitsu and Suzuki. Fluid change is determined by type of use, granny shopping, 60,000km, Trans driving, 30,000km, that info is out there. The correct fluid is paramount for longevity. Can't say I have ever been on mountain roads, but the kickdown works OK, and sports mode gets it moving, plus the 2 stage gearing is an improvement on previous offerings..????
