Many years back I did by accident. I went to the British Embassy BKK to find out the procedure, outside was a tout, she said I can do everything for you including the marriage, that is all the paperwork, copies etc, start today, marriage certs tomorrow afternoon. Cost 8000bht all in, at the time it was 70bht to the pound, so at a bit over 100 quid I thought a bargain. All done without a hitch....????

Plastic pipes they use here are OK if not been in direct sunlight, as long as the fitter used a sensible amount of the glue stuff. The electric pumps do seem to have a lot more pressure than paid for water supply, but I have never had a problem with the pipes via the pump. I have a 2 story house, which is now 15 years old, I used a 250 watt pump first, lasted 11 years, I now have a Mitsubishi 255 watt with no pressure tank ,that sits beside a 1000 litre feed tank, nice powerful showers upstairs. ????

Just got my state pension in my LOS bank, SMS message, as usual, on a Thursday, around 9/9.30. One thing I do know is it takes 4 day's to get into my account. You may recall that the Thai gov demanded something done by Thai banks which extended the payment period, but that was a one off, payed every 28 days since then. At what stage the exchange rate is done, I don't know, but I can tell you exactly what rate I was given just now.... 43.79.....

Just came to mind that way back it was 30 years N.I. for full pension for a few years, then it was changed to 35 years for full pension....Perhaps you were caught in the transition..

It is not going to change any time soon. Look at the population of China and India combined, both countries moving ahead with manufacturing over the west. One can only guess at the pollution numbers from these two, and will they do anything about it, nooooooo. Our Earth has always been its own boss, it does what it has too, man is just a blip in Earths lifetime, and will surely be moved on..

My ol' friend has a UK state and two private pensions, I sorted his paperwork out to have them all paid direct into his Thai bank...He's a happy bunny. ???? PS. But he ain't on the UK state pension fiddle......????...........????
