I spent it once in Koh Chang and it was an experience not to be missed,(or repeated?)

The problem in Koh Chang is it's just a small island,with only a single lane on either side of the road.This means that there's no way to avoid getting absolutely soaked every time you leave the house!

Having rented a scooter it was actually quite dangerous also to have water thrown into your face at 40mph,plus you got back home with the wettest crotch known to man as that's where all the water pools.After a while you just stop coming out in the day and wait unitl dark,as it's stopped by then!

It doesnt stop after dark. Last night in Koh Chang at 9pm I ventured out to get some food and the typical tourist trash was still trying to knock over motorcycles by hitting them in the face with icewater. Next year I carry a water cannon full of urine for the tourists.

maybe sell the case here on ebay and take the inside as carry on and buy a new case at destination. i think this is the best solution and not have to worry about fedex as they wont be cheap, maybe $200+?

I took out the hard drive and put that in carry on, then stuffed the case with socks and jocks.

I need to transport my gaming PC to Australia and im Looking for ideas how to do this. The PC is a standard high end system with 2 ssd drives. The casing though is ridicoulsly heavy Im thinking its 20kg? but Im not in front of it to see the brand.

I was thinking just strip it down and buy another cheapie case in oz as the pc will be making a return trip to thailand for good in about 6 months. Any ideas?

I only get it in game made and IMO windows 7 appears to be unstable.

This copy of windows is not genuine. OMG. Nice screener. Have you set your gpu to default? Are you saying that it always happens at the same point in the game. I run a crossfire configuration and had a similar problem. It had to do with my graphics drivers. Have you updated and gotten direct x 11? You are using a laptop which means access and removal of card is next to impossible correct? What i was always told was to add ram for performance issues first as it is cheap and easy now and really improved my comps performance. Oh, i see your using Flight Sim X on laptop, have you checked the minimum system requirements? Just brainstorming as not a professional but have been in your shoes. Have you tried Take On Helicopters? Pretty cool sim with a new upgrade to military helo that just came out last week. Hope some ideas help!

Motherboard is up to you, I went with the Asus Maximus IV Gene Z for around 6500B

Video card Nvidia GTX 560ti - around 8000B

Power supply corsair 650W - around 3000B

Computer case, you can get a good one for 2000B

DVD drive around 500B

Why is this happening to my lap top?

when my pc crashes during Gaming it seems to be for no apparent reason. If you look at the analysis

(see attachment )it looks okay, I have dropped all of the stuff I don't need at boot up so there is no CPU bottleneck or it doesn't look like it and the temp is fine

But this is wierd,, my pc seems to have Crash memory. For example when I crash in FSX game the Pc then crashes at exactly the same place. It doesn't matter what flight I take in the game , when the pc crashes it will then always crash at the same point

an example is the screen shot. It doesnt matter what settings I use in the game or if I overlock using MSI or under lock it always crashes right where you can see here.

confused, any thoughts?

Thanks guys i have gathered enough info here to take the next step, there is so much out there can be a bit daunting for a newb to home builds.

Dave my laptop sits on an alloy lap standed thats vented and sits over my lap while I lay reclined on the lazy boy and never gets hot and Im on it all day. I have adjusted the frame rates and she now runs smooth no drop outs and no noticeable difference.

This is my laptop that Im using for FSX flight simulator and running through a projector.

I am getting a PHENOMENAL frame rate of 50-100 fps particularly after installing the auto fsx pro booster which configured my laptop for the game.

the only problem Im having is that after 30-60 mins FSX crashes and by that I mean the screen just disappears and Im told its 80% due to my crappy sound card (Nividia Ge force GT 130m)

A couple of things to consider. With this setup you can definitely overclock your CPU by a good margin. If that's not important, get an H61/H67 motherboard. Also giving up the second PCI-E slot or forgoing the PCI slots would let you knock a good 1500 THB off the price.

Getting a 1050 THB case saves you another 2500 THB, but it will be nowhere near as nice.

There is no way I would skimp on the processor, RAM or video card.

Granted the mouse and keyboard are probably overkill, and there's deals to be had. But with that ~4000 THB savings you made above, and maybe more if you get a different monitor, you can most likely afford another monitor which would allow you to have dual screens going for your sims. If your sims don't support that than the 4000 THB could be invested in a SSD which would greatly increase the responsiveness of the system and decrease loading times In that price range you're looking at a 60-64GB drive which is enough for Windows and a couple of games...

Just as a further tweek I will only be using the system for one game being Microsoft sfx flight simulator. From my reaserch my understanding is there is no way to play this at full max settings with any system at all .

I wont need a monitor as I have a breath taking short throw projector hooked up

Im at the trendy and there are no stalls , I cant think of any residence that is jammed full of stalls on their frontage. Sofitel stalls are gone completely

I ended up at the concorde hotel that houses the hard rock cafe and it was perfect and there were plenty girls or should i say very discreet hookers. I really liked it but then again Im a huge fan of hard rock hotels.
