A couple of differences:
The Yamaha has an replaceable oil filter. The Wave does not.
The Yamaha can use E85 fuel. The Wave cannot.

The repeat visitors have already learned a bit about keeping some of their money from the scams and overpricing.
So it only makes sense that the first-timers would spend more.

For a $100 refundable deposit, you too can "order" a Tesla Cybertruck.
150,000 people have purchased cheap and refundable bragging rights.

would appreciate your opinions , pros and cons , thank you.
If you value your leg room, the NMax should be your choice.
I've had an NMax for over 2 years and I like it a lot.
At the time of purchase, I had a choice of either one.
The big difference in leg room was the deciding factor for me.
But I think most people prefer the style of the Aerox. Too bad about the leg room.

The Honda PCX sold in Indonesia has a rear disk brake and ABS. Maybe the parts from that version would fit the Thai version.

How did you get through the Panamanian jungle?
As I understand it, it is nearly impossible to drive or ride through the Darien Gap.

Monitor lizard?
You are obviously not in Colorado now.
Welcome back to Thailand papa.

Vespa don't make 2-strokes anymore. Last one was 2005 Model ET2 50cc
Bad for the enviroment
I saw a brand new PX125 2 stroke Vespa at the Vespa dealership in Udorn Thani about 2 years ago.
Vespa still shows it as available on their Thailand website. 209000฿.

The 2-stroke Vespas are still available brand new>> LINK

The Yamaha GT125 that came out in 2015 and is still being sold is air-cooled.

In the last two years I have rented Honda Clicks 3 different times. Two times, the bike was very new with very low miles. All three times, I have been disappointed with the handling of the rented Honda Clicks. I have owned a Yamaha GT125 for over 3 years and it has much better handling than any of the Honda Clicks that I rented.
If handling is important to the OP, then the OP may want to give some consideration to the GT125.
I recently put a pair of Michelin tires on my GT125 and it made the handling even better.
The Yamaha GT125 is priced new at about 46000฿. The Click is much more expensive.
Hondas are good bikes, but the Click suffers from mediocre handling.
But if the OP buys the Click, it would be a good idea to upgrade the tires as already mentioned in post number 6 above.

I bought a new XMax last December. I have had a few of the plastic covers off for different reasons and some of the parts have a date sticker on the inside of them.
The parts with date stickers are all showing Sept 2018 date codes. The tires have Aug 2018 date codes.
The book says my XMax is a 2017. ????
Makes no sense at all.

Brand new Kawasaki A1 Samurais at a Kawasaki shop in Tokorozawa Japan in 1969. New H1s in the foreground.
Brand new A7SS (Avenger) in same shop, same day.
New W1 Special same day, same shop. As I remember it, the Special was the 2 carb version of the 650-W1.
Kawasaki prices in Japan, 1969.
360 yen to one US dollar in those days.
The H1 had just come out and the price of it is not even listed on this poster.
As I recall, the price was 298000 yen.
I shot all my pictures in black and white in those days.

Earlier this month I went to my TW account and designated my Bangkok Bank account as my primary account for receiving THB. Then I did a test transfer where I was asked to designate a reason for the transfer. I chose "Funds for long-term stay in Thailand". I called no one and I emailed no one. A few days later the test $200 transfer showed up tagged as an international transfer.

Have you seen this? >>> Medical Insurance for retirement in Thailand.
It appears to be for OA visa holders, but it may be the same thing.

I have always heard that the ATMs in Cambodia dispense US dollars.
If true, that would probably be the cheapest way.

^^Same wheelbase at 1350mm but 13" wheels on the NMax and 14" wheels on the Aerox.
However, the NMax does not have the convenient, built-in, knee-banging function that is designed into the Aerox body.
But the NMax does have way more room for adjusting your leg and foot position.
Sit on both and see for yourself.
I started buying Yamahas a few years back when I discovered they actually handle better and are more stable at higher speeds than my previous Hondas.
I really haven't noticed any difference in quality.
