  1. Anyone ever try the helmet liners you can buy? Are they cooling, comfortable? Do they stop the sweat getting to the helmet?

    Kenny202,

Is the HJC CL-17 liner not removable for washing and/or replacement?

I want to buy a new helmet but I want the removable padding/liner for easier cleaning.

  2. Be advised that the HJC CL-17 only includes the Snell certification in the sizes below 3XL. Otherwise it is DOT certified only.

I wonder how many other helmets have similar caveats.

    • DOT & SNELL M2015 approved
      • CL-17 Plus (3XL-5XL): DOT Only
    • Available Sizes: XS – 5XL (CL-17 PLUS: 3XL-5XL-DOT only)
  3. As the screens get larger and larger, curved screens will be better for viewing.

Imagine you had a very large screen. It would certainly be better for it to be curved than flat, unless you are sitting very far away.

Otherwise you will be viewing the center part of the screen straight-on, and you would be viewing the right and left sides at extreme angles.

  4. Sportman's Bar and Restaurant at the Trendy building, Sukumvit Soi 13 has some craft beers, but they keep running out of the draught IPA!

So I am now forced to search for other places to drink and that is why I am now participating in this thread.

Would love to hear about other places with IPA on draught.

  5. As far as the Hatari fans are concerned:

Get the 18" only if it will be used in a large room.

Buy the 16" for smaller rooms.

The 18" on speed "1" blows as hard as the 16" does on "3".

Too much fan in a small room can be uncomfortable.

I have both 16 and 18 inch Hatari pedestal fans.

I also have an 18 inch Hatari wall fan that would most certainly be overkill in a small room.

  6. Great bike but I'd guess the new revised range of the bike that this is emulating may be something to do with its demise.

And it's been "emulating" since the 1950s when it first appeared as the Meguro 500. From HERE:

Around 1960 Meguro replaced its pushrod singles with new overhead cam models and the 650cc T2 twin with a copy of the 500cc BSA A7 called the model K. BSA was about to discontinue the A7 and some sources claim that BSA licenced Meguro to copy it

Meguro sold a stake in the company to Kawasaki. Kawasaki took over Meguro about 1964.

  7. ^^^I only paid 6000฿ for my Asus Zenfone 2 Laser - ZE500KL- a few months back. I think the price has come down since then.

My phone has none of the faults that you speak of.

The camera works very well, even in low light.

No dropped calls and the battery life is just fine.

It only reboots when I tell it to.

I guess I must be one of the lucky ones. smile.pngwai2.gif
