So now he says he was only joking...

Many places in Thailand have been constructed without proper traps in the drains to block out the smells from the sewage system. Go around and sniff your drains. That may be where the smell is coming from.

A friend of mine was in the same situation as far as a last minute demand for money. In his case, the amount was only 3500 baht. He reluctantly paid it and the container was delivered to his house less than 24 hours later, unopened by customs. Still had the original lock and seal on the door.
I would pay the 7K and get on with my life, if I were you.

Some of us actually were involved in what happened.
So I must say,
there is a whole lot of BS being offered in this thread.

The Honda SH150 has 16 inch wheels. About 98K baht, though. But very rugged looking, in person.
A best-seller in Italy for years.

The Harley figures are broken down further at this link:

47K Harleys were sold in the fourth quarter alone. 270K for the year.

I think the Chinese crap has been around for at least a decade by now. Maybe they have improved a bit during that time. Maybe some of them have figured out how to make good stuff by now. It's a possibility.

I am old enough to remember when everyone was saying that the stuff coming from Japan was crap. Early 1960s mainly. Now many people talk about the Chinese stuff the same way. I have many things that were made in China and the majority of these items are first quality. Not junk. I have no doubt that the "haters of all things made in China" also have many things made in China that they are perfectly happy with.
That being said, my Keeway TXM200 is a very nice bike with a very nice finish and has given me no problems at all. I ride it very hard and broke it in hard. Keeway is a subsidiary of Benelli.

I have had several packages sent to me from the US by USPS Priority Mail and they usually take about seven days or less. They have never spent more than just a few hours in Customs, though.
Once it gets to Thailand, you can also track it on the Thai Postal tracking site:
http://track.thailandpost.co.th/tracking/default.aspx?lang=en
Quite often, the information is slightly different to what is shown on the USPS tracking site. You may get another perspective on what happened to your package.

Haven't seen any discussion about this bike on the forum, so I thought I would post this. Looks very nice.

There is a bunch of information about the bike in the OP on this page:

Garmin does have several 7 inch models, but they may not be for sale in Thailand.

Get a bus from Bueng Kan to Ban Phaeng. Then from Ban Phaeng to NKP.

Not everyone wants a bigger, heavier, faster bike. In my years of riding, I have had 40 different bikes of all sizes, up to and including Harleys and six-cylinder Kawasakis. But nowadays, I prefer the smaller and easy to handle bikes. I don't care about going a million miles an hour any more. Been there. Done that.
Little bikes are fun, too.

I went last week and got there early. There were no numbers given out during the time I was there, but I was third in line at the window. They did give me a number so that i could come back and claim my passport in the afternoon once I had turned in my paperwork and paid.

There is a Suzuki dealership in Sakon Nakhon for sure. Saw it last week. Near the Toyota and Chevrolet showrooms.
