  1. What OS are you running?

As i need to extract from my back up drive to an external hard drive

What exactly does this mean? Do you want to copy the backup from the internal "E" drive to an external usb/firewire/eSATA hard drive?

Do you want to be able to restore the entire drive using the backup software, or do you simply want to backup files and be able to restore them individually?

I'm using a free version of Macrium Reflect which backs up entire disks/partitions and can restore them using a boot CD, or you can mount the backup image (to a drive letter) and restore individual files using Windows Explorer.

The free version does everything you need to do. The full version has extra features that a business may need.

For backing up individual files only, such as your Documents folder, etc., the built in Backup software in Windows should do okay, depending on which version of Windows you're using.

  2. Slightly different layout, size, and rules. The two main differences are that you can't kill the ball in squash, and racquetball is better. I've been wondering about where to play myself, other than hotels. Hotels might not be bad for the odd game here and there.

Here is the only place I could find that isn't a hotel. A bit pricey to just play racquetball, though they have lots more to do, and it appears they have a daily fee on top of the annual membership fee.

This place might know more if you give them a call

  3. Yeah, it stinks. But the series was not progressing much and MS said they are keeping their options open for future releases.

Very bad news for huge amount of developers who were supporting the product (and themselves) through add-on packages and hardware.

  4. according to multiple sources in google, thai kids have extraordinary low IQ's

i just did a little google search and it stated the average thai kid aged 8 - 12 had an IQ of 88, and the worrying part was an IQ of 77 in the western world would clase you as medically retarded ............

130 is nowhere near genius, though it is above average. Either way, congratulations.

well seeing he got 130 at 4 years old, no wonder they are impressed from the above findings

IQ's actually go down as you get older, not up. That does not mean intelligence gets lower, just the pretty number. :o

  5. This appears to be the opposite of what the net neutrality laws are aiming for.

So many of us use the net for getting our television content though, so you have to hand it to ESPN for being on the cutting edge, which is the complete opposite of how the music recording industry has been going about things. A bit cheeky for ESPN to come up with such a scheme IMO since I'm sure it's a pretty low percentage of users that would actually use the service, and the ISP's are forking out the money for the huge bandwidth customers use when viewing it. The usage caps make the outcome of this even more unpredictable. I can't believe ESPN wouldn't make more money putting ads in the content or charging the users for premium content/quality. Seems an odd way to go about things.

  6. Joined their facebook which gives updates on specials and such. Haven't tried it yet, but it is on ChefsXP and should be available soon if not already. It sounds promising so I hope it's an improvement to bangkoks lackluster mexi choices.

  7. I thank God I am a citizen of a great nation that not only allows statements like this to be made, but encourages them

Sorry, but that is BS. Nobody is encouraging people to gloat that they will party if a president is murdered. People didn't talk that way about Bush, it went far, but not into the territory this Bozo went. Where is the secret service when you need them? I would like to see that poster put on a watch list.

I thought he was talking about Bush. :o

  8. "I don't think you are going to find this to as easy as you think."

Getting a copy of your passport certified at the US embassy is pretty easy. You complete a from, pay 1200THB, and then swear that the document is true. An embassy official will then stamp and sign the copy as certified.

That is not certifying the document, that is notarizing your signature. Fortunately, Thai government agencies don't seem to know the difference in most cases, specifically the income statement for the retirement visa.

    TH

You seem to be speaking from non-experience. I was able to get a certified copy of my passport in 5 minutes, paid some money, and that was that. It's not difficult and you shouldn't be trying to convince others that it is if you've never done it yourself.
