I'm looking for ideas for a restaurant, full service - appropriate for a business meeting, that is either in the airport or near the airport. If located in the airport it would have to be something I can access without having a boarding pass.

Face .... 1500 per person no wine
That's a bit of a stretch IMO. Most of the entrees are in the 300 - 500 baht range. I've gotten out of there for less than 1,500 for 2 people with drinks.

I know people like to "clean" computers with AV software, but the best use of it IMO is to prevent infection (there are better methods for that of course). Once a computer has been compromised, a complete reinstall of the OS is the only way to be positive a rootkit or trojan is not still lurking around in there. In your case Sheryl, a reinstall of the Lenovo partition would be in order too.

If you're in a hotel, sounds like the hotel is having issues with their proxy or service providers proxy. You should give the lobby a ring and ask to have a tech look into it.
-
First thing that comes to mind is your BIOS and OS date/time could be off.
Do the browsers give you any certificate errors or warnings?

If Kaspersky was scanning the Lenovo partition it's possible that the heuristics engine found one of the applications had virus-like behavior. If Kaspersky had logging enabled there was probably some more info in the logs as to what it thought it found.
Since the Kaspersky details were so vague, if a scan of your computer using Avira doesn't find anything, I'd not worry about it for now since you did a clean install. If you notice odd behavior in the future then run another full scan with Avira (make sure the scan is set to all files) and try some other a/v programs if Avira doesn't find anything.
The files on flash drives might provide a clue as to what the infection is/was. If you get the drives back, scan them with a few a/v apps and then read up on the detected virus if one is found. This will at least let you know the behavior of the virus and if you need to worry about your Lenovo partition being infected.
Cheers

Not sure about FF as I use Opera, but it should be the same:
- Siam Commercial Bank: you need IE to open an account, but after that you can do your everyday internet banking with another browser
- Kasikorn Bank: no problem with internet banking using Opera
both mentioned sites will work with FF and Chrome flawlessly
Partially correct.
Kasikorn works with personal accounts in FF, but not with business accounts (K-BizNet). I emailed them about this a month ago and was told the issue was sent to proper department already. The trash?. Simple CSS issue with the login page that is still not fixed.

You'd think the billions of dollars in extortion fines MS has paid to the EU would be enough already.

I have the LA40A550 and it's a very nice unit. The 330 doesn't include an HD tuner and is 720p (vs 1080p on the 550), but none of that should really matter. The 330 was discontinued last month so they are clearing out whatever is left in stock. I'd do some poking around online to see if people have any serious issues with it, but at that price it had better be a pretty serious issue to keep you from grabbing it.

When did TV turn into a blog?

3 days there and I was going insane from boredom. That was in Georgetown though, didn't bother with the beaches. Good luck with the 4 weeks.
Train can get you close by there. Plane is cheap on air asia.

Go with a CMS.
Wordpress
CMS Made Simple
Joomla
Drupal
I listed them in order of ease of use. The last 2 being about the same, since they have similar roots, but are also getting close to enterprise CMS in size, features, complexity.
Wordpress is pretty easy to make a site, which is all it sounds like you're going to be doing with it. It will look nice enough if you find a nice theme.

I've been thinking about a new laptop, but was holding off until I heard about upgrade coupons for Windows 7, which was bound to happen now that Windows 7 has a firm release date.
So it appears that Acer, likely other OEMs as well, are now including a pamphlet that states that any purchase of a computer with Windows Vista on or after June 26 will receive a free copy of Windows 7 equivilent to their edition of Vista.
I'm don't know if the offer is valid in Thailand on the same date, or if it will be available here at all, but if anyone purchases a new computer or gets more info on this some other way please share it here.

Some of the data in my post were from German TV regarding SOLD products.
Regardless of where you found the statistics quoted in your OP, they come from Net Applications, and their copyright states attribution is required along with a link unless you've paid them. Obviously only you and they know if you have paid them or not.

Well, what if the host changes their IP? Blocking IP's on a large scale is a bad idea - unless you're blocking incoming connections - as you will be chasing the hosts to different IP's (which is a pain and probably impossible to manage on your own) and the IP's you're blocking may be hosting tons of other sites.

I agree. How can we be expected to afford the 3 mercs if we need to keep a 400k in the bank? Unbelievable I tell ya.

IMO an OS should not allow a regular user to write anywhere they want, not even after clicking some meaningless "OK" button on some equally meaningless dialog box.
While it's easy to say that, you can't blame MS for wanting to actually sell their OS and make a profit on it. Can you imagine all the people that would forget their administrator password if they defaulted home users to running under a normal user account? UAC does work around this a bit, but MS and the OEM's would have to increase their call center staff 100 fold. Most people probably don't even remember their own accounts password since Windows is set to automatically login.

Who is this a security concern for? Surely not the average home user.
Some companies may be running ancient DOS or early Windows software that uses NetBEUI, but it's non routable as endure already stated, and is not installed by default in Windows 7.
Protecting NetBEUI via a firewall? You lost me there.
I think you need to put the juice down buddy.

That IP and other True static IP's have been seeding torrents for ages now. Could be True employees. I think True is providing us with a local cache for torrents. Cuts down on the international bandwidth and requirements to throttle services on it.

Even 802.11b runs at 11Mb

Only experience with COBOL was writing a compiler for it for a term project. Never learned much about the language though. I think the prof was trying to fill some seats at a COBOL shop across the way, owned by a friend probably.

Your comparing a Maxnet business product to a Verizon residential product for starters. Why not compare Maxnet residential vs Verizon residential, or commercial vs commercial? Yes, when talking FiOS it's still pretty lopsided, but FiOS for business at the speeds you mention costs $279.99/month with a static IP. Not sure about the SLA compared to Verizon's digital lines (DS1, DS3, etc.)
Verizon is probably 1000x larger than Maxnet anyway.
Japan and many European countries put the US to shame when it comes to residential broadband. 100Mb Ethernet port for 10USD/month. Verizon ain't beating that anytime soon.
In the end, what would you do with 50Mbs here? You'd complain that your international speed is still only 1Mb, unless you need more speed for kapook.com or teenee.com.
