  1. Forget my post above. I suddenly thought of checking the version of the app. On the phone 8.3.3, on the TV 5.8.8. I updated the app on the TV and all is OK now, sorry for not thinking of it before I posted.
  2. I need some help. I have subscribed for the football, and on my phone and tablet, I have 4 icons at the bottom of the screen, Home, Sport, Upcoming, and Live TV. Tapping on Sport gives me a page showing links to future matches and links to "Full Matches. They all work well, and I have seen some of the matches played already. However, using the app on my TV only shows, on the left side, Home, Movies, Series, Upcoming, Live TV, Search, Favorite, and Settings. Selecting Settings and Profile, shows the correct info for my account, and the fact that I have subscribed to the football package. So, can anyone suggest where I'm going wrong ?
  3. I had exactly the same issue with my Thai credit card on my PC. I then tried with the downloaded app on my phone and it all worked ok.
  4. Thanks for letting me know.
  5. Do the repeats have English commentary? No listing on BeIn Sports for the FA Cup this season.
  6. I've been with True for over 25 years, and they've always given me good service, it seems to me to be just the luck of the draw. Last year I phoned their call centre to check my options. I was receiving True by satellite on their Gold package and paid extra for the Premier League but my wife didn't need the TV anymore, she got what she wanted on her phone. The guy suggested I switch to the cheapest package at 319 baht per month and pay 1,990 baht for the additional year Premier League including BeIn Sports for the FA Cup and Euro matches. Seemed a great deal for me and I took it. I just had an SMS from 3BB stating that the Premier League is available from them at 1,990 baht. I assume that it will be with Monomax.
  7. I was paying 1,990 baht for1 year (10 months Aug-May actually) for Premier League, La Liga, FA Cup and European matches with True, so it will be a bit more expensive for me.
  8. Thanks for the info on packages. Just from a quick look, it seems you won't be able to watch matches on a PC, that means straining my eyes to watch the matches on my phone
  9. I have done my own marriage and then retirement extension for over 30 years, but it takes so long, even when I have an appointment. In 2023 I arrived at Chiang Mai office at 9am with my papers, they were checked and I got a queue number. At 14;30 I had my photo taken, and my passport was returned at 15:20. In 2024 I used an agent. I gave the agent my passport and bank book, and paid the fee, 3,500 baht plus the 1,900 Immigration fee. They took the photos, and told me to meet the agent at 14:15 the following day at the Immigration Office. I met the agent at the Immigration office. The photo was taken, and immediately my passport and bank book were returned with the new extension. Time in the office less than 5 mins. I paid for the convenience.
  10. Depends on what bank you use. I have a Barclays account and use their Internet banking system to transfer amounts to my Bangkok Bank. No fee from Barclays, maximum fee 500 baht from Bangkok Bank, or 10 Pounds if you let Barclays cover Bangkok Bank charge. SMS to tell me money has arrived before I've even logged out of my internet banking account (less than 1 minute).
  11. My visits to CM Immigration started in Jan 1990 when I asked what I needed to do to stay in Thailand, married to a Thai national. There was only 1 guy behind the desk in the old building on the left. He had to telephone Bangkok for guidance, and told me to apply for a 1 year extension. I filled in the form, gave him my passport and marriage certificate, he stamped the passport, and returned it with notice to return in 2 weeks. I returned every 2 weeks for about 3 months before getting the extension. I returned every month for the 90 day report and signed the book, sometimes the officer would say he couldn't find the book and to just come again next month. The first new building appeared years later, but it was easy to visit until the early 2st century. Then it got full, and I switched to a Retirement Visa. It got really bad when they switched to the Promenada, then Big Joke appeared, and the 2nd new building arrived. Since then it's been ok as long as you have the time.
  12. I ordered s beer at a popular restaurant in Chiang Mai recently outside permitted hours I was told "Sorry Sir, no alcohol sales at this time, but we have wine"
  13. In 1990 I applied for a one year extension for reason of marriage at Chiang Mai. The IO had to phone Bangkok to find out what to do. The application was sent for processing in Bangkok, and then I had to return every 2 weeks (not 1 month as now). It took 5 months to process. Then in 1991 I applied for a new extension, and that one took a whole year without a result, then they just told me to apply again, and I needed a new passport.
  14. Payment is in Pounds Sterling, and is deducted in the UK, so make sure the credit/debit card you use is authorised for foreign use.
  15. I just completed this quiz. My Score 0/100 My Time 57 seconds
