    Baden-Powell would be turning in his grave. In 18 years as an ex-pat here, I read the same stories annually. Thais are not proactive and act only when confronted by a problem. Then because they have the memory of a goldfish they forget the problem till next year.

    You cannot educate pork. U-turns add many kilometres of wasted fuel & time to even a short journey; it's far easier to drive the wrong way & risk disfigurement.

    Care to elaborate? The chances of people dying in road accidents is significantly reduced by lower speeds.

    The single most usual cause of road deaths is speeding. This should be easily eradicated by CCTV and a police force.
