  1. I find it insufferably complacent. It is a mere vehicle for Steve Martin's ego.
  2. What ever possesses superb icons to take this part in such a one-joke show?
  3. AKA police force? Local Plod can't find its own arris.
  4. Laem Chabang port is 26.4 kms away. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Bali+Hai+Pier,+ถนน+พัทยาใต้+Pattaya+City,+Bang+Lamung+District,+Chon+Buri+20150/Laem+Chabang,+Bang+Lamung+District,+Chon+Buri/@13.0114347,100.8400641,12z/data=!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x3102c090be001f0d:0x493d4a0fdaad4fb1!2m2!1d100.8678184!2d12.9260047!1m5!1m1!1s0x3102bed673b9abed:0x2b37eb8c3bf71a16!2m2!1d100.9158073!2d13.1040552!3e0?entry=ttu 'The port is expected to begin construction in 2026 and be completed in 2029' - how long has Sukhumvit road taken? 2nd Road? Thepprasit? Still unfinished!
  5. Divided by two - probably not enough to cover the fuel costs to the gas station.
  6. The farmers themselves will see no extra money; they are held over a barrel by the mill owners and shafted twice a year, if they are lucky.
  7. First there will be regular meetings with free lunches; Committee members can invite all their pals; preferably those owning lucrative businesses. Many photos will be taken of police stopping a black-smoking vehicle driven by a farang. Acres of burning fields will be ignored; temples will be granted special dispensations to continue burning their refuse. Double glazing & solar panels will be made available at 'special' prices through Committee members.
  8. Not helped by Thai engineering. Because no-one knows how to use surveying equipment, drainage is achieved by creating perfect breeding grounds for mosquitos every 10 metres. The pits are permanently under six inches of water till a downpour allows the rain to move on to freshen up the next chamber.
  9. I've been banging on about Pattaya Plod for over 15 years. Nothing has changed except they seem to be working fewer hours and have more holidays. The deaths-on-the-road figure is directly attributable to speed. With all the CCTV cameras at their disposal this offence could/should be eradicated in months.
  10. But will there still be enough to pay the nodding dogs in the senate?
  11. Wow - so very precise to the month & over a couple of years! Is there one for the UKP?
  12. seems eminently to suitable to manage this corrupt corporation known, the World over, as Thailand.
  13. At last a name & shame story! Is the draconian law slipping a little bit. Can I now name the dozens of companies who have never replied to an email because it was written in English?
  14. Pattaya Plod are installing mobile power poles all over Kuwaiti hot-spots.
  15. Does that mean he doesn't attend Parliamentary meetings?
  16. Primitive people. The only good thing to be said for these believers, is it takes the next generation of muck-making, disease-spreading, accident-causing dogs off the street.
  17. The main reason Pattaya Plod's initiative is not working. And laziness. And fear of the dark.
  18. He must have sold a lot of amulets. (Note the police got nowhere so he appealed to the media.)
  19. Another success for Pattaya police as the murderer returned to the crime scene where they were sitting around after a tip-off.
  20. Unlike U-turns on the roads which cost Thailand billions of $s a year in unnecessary mileage.
