‘Big Joke’ visits Pattaya to follow up on ‘Smart Safety Zone 4.0’ project
mikebell replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Why not start a police force in Pattaya that has a shift system ensuring cops work nights AND weekends? A force that brings down accident figures by active policing; one where fat sergeants don't get to decide whether a crime has been committed if the price is right. -
They are trotting out this hoary old chestnut more and more frequently now as desperation sets in. The wealthy will not come to live in a place where there is no rule of law; no police force; dangerous roads AND a pandemic of corruption from the local cop up to the very highest in the land. Droughts and floods alternate regularly and then there are the dogs!

Two motorbikes collide in Don Hualor, all three people involved pass away

The police set the tone for road safety. Do as I say not as I do. The law is an ass. -
Thai police warn about buying vehicles online after arrest of fraudster
mikebell replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
All Thai police work at this speed; 1st year is spent exploring if it's worth it to the police to proceed. 2nd year is spent racking up overtime on non-existent useless tasks. Finally 3rd year is all about maximising publicity to justify their existence. -
Over 84% of Thailand’s COVID fatalities had not been vaccinated
mikebell replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I got that immediately. 84% of Covid deaths have not been vaccinated. About 84% of all Thais have not been vaccinated. Shameful figures for any Government. -

Major fire causes serious damage to Walking Street nightclub in Pattaya
mikebell replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
As are the Insurance Agents. 'Loud explosions' caused by party poppers? -
I live on a supposed Hi-so estate; a Juristic entity. I am surrounded by baying or yapping dogs. I go out for a daily walk and find dog excrement on the main soi where lots of children play. In the UK there are 12 cases annually of blindness caused by toxicara canis. This is in a civilised country with strict controls. The accident rate caused by strays on the roads is well documented but is there an agency counting the spread of such diseases; not just rabies cases? The sentence in the article 'Pattaya Police have been informed of the incident and are “looking into” the situation,' made me smile.

Why is it necessary to reassure this to the public - unless there is some doubt?
