Immunocompromised US teacher stuck in Thailand without access to vaccine
mikebell replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Good point. I envisage a deserted Suvarnabumi; staffed by skeletons; me wearing a bio-hazard suit, carrying an oxygen cylinder sufficient for 15 hours shallow breathing. I would partake of no food but consume copious quantities of alcohol to kill any floating Covid cells. -

Well that's a relief. -
This link is being censored - I got a message that it was not 'available at this time'. Noppadon is in for the high jump.

If I wished to fly back to UK (in the absence of any vaccines for this 78 year old without visiting the BKK Covid epicentre), how would I go about getting a (negative) test result? Visit a hospital? At Suvarnabumi? Can one buy an air ticket without one? -
I agree in principal - particularly about the number of PP copies I have lodged at Immigration. However I think the OP is concerned about police ramifications. I am driving around with a DL showing my old address and old PP number. A hungry cop may ask expensive questions. I am anxious to rectify this but Pattaya DLC is a nightmare at the best of times.

Record 670,834 vaccinations given on August 5th in Thailand

'Record 670,834 vaccinations given on August 5th in Thailand' None of them in Chonburi. -
My son's restaurant in Bangkok is shortly to close permanently with the loss of at least a dozen jobs; his suppliers will lose thousands from his orders weekly for 15 YEARS; his landlord will lose the lucrative rent on his condo. With no other income, he will be forced to return to UK. He was the main reason I came to live here. With no vaccines for me, I fear I will be taking my 800K + pensions to safer climes.

My experience with Thai insurance companies (admittedly only on cars) suggests the agents are on commission on how much they pay OUT! I got rear-ended by a pick-up doing 150+ near Bangkok/Pattaya hospital. My agent pinpointed the point of impact to .005 cms off centre of my rear bumper which proved I had changed lanes so it was my fault!

Two nasal spray COVID-19 vaccines under development by Thailand’s BIOTEC

I stopped suffering when I moved here from UK. I had just found a cure after years of misery;' Kenilogue long acting steroid injection' instantly gave me at least a month's protection. (May have mis-spelled the maker's name.) -

How did Thailand get equal with Vietnam? The latter has jabbed more of its populace than Thailand. -
