  1. Regretting allowing them to drive motorbikes without helmets; regretting there are no police enforcing road safety rules.
  2. Had stones regularly in UK. I don't have them here. I drink exactly the same quantity of liquid daily as in UK. Sunshine increases your sexual appetite. QED.
  3. But how will you live? I save up my pension & send 5K UKP a number of times a year; will I be taxed on that? I have 800K in a Thai bank & they tax the interest on that. Is that reclaimable?
  4. Despite all the negativity above EVERY agent round town is still talking up the state of the market. There are still huge developments going on; in my area I can see three sites busily erecting hundreds of new houses. I ask myself where will all the new owners come from? Who has sufficient money to buy up land and can afford the huge building costs. I think the answer is some people dare not put this money in a bank.
  5. 'Leash of Hope' - the headline makes the most telling comment. IF all dogs were on a leash there would not be this dog-hating mass which includes myself. I have witnessed first hand both my stepdaughters brought off their motorbikes. I read regularly of other accidents, some fatal, caused by strays. I use the last word loosely because many 'strays' have owners/homes yet are still allowed/encouraged to pollute every soi in the land. Most of these 'owners' ironically and piously wore masks to prevent the spread of disease; whilst their dogs spread refuse and rotting food from garbage bags. Almost hourly their dogs are guilty of biting people resulting in expensive hospital treatment; nightly these strays disturb the sleep of others. I used to be an animal lover and pet owner till I retired here, now I join the chorus of voices calling for a mass cull and stringent punishment for those who allow their animals to roam.
  6. Another one? I am being to think there are no qualified electricians in Thailand. Could the new Government take 'electrician' off the list of jobs farangs aren't allowed to do? I have my own mains tester and specialise in jacuzzi rewiring.
  7. 'The victim has reported the incident to the police and has asked them to investigate the motorcycle thieves in the Pattaya area thoroughly,' Now which of the two complaints above will result in any action? The word 'thoroughly' is not in Plod's dictionary.
  8. Why did it take so long to numb their bodies? I thought electrocution was quicker than that?
  9. Meanwhile on the roads, the daily massacre continued apace due to there being no cops on duty as they were all having their photo taken.
  10. Most were designed to protect the leaders of the NCPO; all were designed to be hindrances to the everyday lives of the rest of the people.
  11. Sums up 99% of RTP; most politicians; the Judiciary; 100% of the business community.
  12. His illness will last till he gets a pardon and then he will make a miraculous recovery as agreed.
  13. Till now. I wouldn't put the above arrestees in the same cell as Mr Xammao.
  14. Why would anyone fall for this even on the promise of a big order. Mastermind Charlie doesn't look as if he has partaken of any food in the last month!
  15. and half her skirt. It was the doctor's son.
  16. Test it for finger prints. I bet they match those of the doctor's son.
  17. Do you know who my father is?
  18. 'Police are investigating the incident and are attempting to identify the involved vehicle via a registration plate that fell off during the collision.' That might help even the Pattaya police's inept force.
  19. who were seen openly salivating and rubbing their hands, (albeit under the table where most of their business takes place.)
  20. His 'Time' will come; the next election will see a landslide in his favour.
