  1. Fergie's like a stuck record. Blames the ref cos 5 minutes extra time wasn't enough. I was like a young kid last night, dancing around the room, I still have a silly grin this morning. Man of the match? All of them. Just a few times when the defence got sloppy. Wes Brown was lucky not to get a 2nd yellow. I wish I had a clean Leeds shirt to where into town :)

Typical Fergie blames everyone but himself, after last nights performance he should be ashamed having fielded a pretty strong side and brought out the big guns in the 2nd half and the minnows still made them look average.

As for the extra time i still don't see where they got 5 minutes from, but i have to say i shaking in fear until the final whistle, get your shirts out of mothballs lad's and be proud. 8 points clear and Wycombe on Saturday should be a few more points in the bag.

    Keep the faith MOT

  2. Well Guy's

What a game last night over Man U, a well deserved win a joy to watch, you would have though MU would have watched the Liverpool v Leeds game to see the mighty Leeds would not be a push over.

Dare i say it but this could be our year.

Well done lad's you did us proud, man of the match for me was butter fingers Casper :)

  3. Guy's,

Can anyone clear up this small issue for me, i have just got my first multi entry retirement visa and am required to make my first 90 day report on the 26th of October. At the moment i am back in the UK and plan to return back on the 23rd of October, my question is do i need to fill in a TM47 form on entry in Bangkok and / or still report to Maesai Immigration on the 26th of October.

    Thanks in advance

  4. Sometimes it can be a good idea to set your own DNS. One of the guys over on the computer forum recommended this and it worked great for me. One way to find the better / faster DNS servers is with a neat free tool http://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm

When you run it (select 'Namservers' tab and then click "Benchmark", it tests your nameservers against lots of others.

It may not make downloads any faster, but it sure eliminated many of the 404 errors when trying to open URLs

Thanks for the info but i run on a Mac and the program would not run for me, i am now upgraded to 3 megs and things are slightly better.

  5. Thanks for the info, but we have been told we cannot get TT&T for some reason, even though the main office on the superhighway is only 7 km from our house, but having said that it sounds like Sven has issue's with them.

I am taking my router ( belkin 54g wireless) to the nice guy at TOT so he can check the settings and maybe improve the proformance.

  6. Guy's

Just called to see the very nice man at the TOT office in town today,to enquire why my broadband speed is so slow, whilst i expected him to say you are so far out of town and you are at the end of the line story or you need to upgrade your bandwith, he hit me with a new one.

"It's because you leave your router on all day sir he said" you must turn off your router every day for at least an hour so it can acquire a new IP he added, during the conversation i did notice a very strong smell of BS coming from his direction, but can anyone throw anything into the pot to clarify :) ??

  7. Good choice.

And Bob, not yet. Leaving Monday so I better start packing.

Look forward to seeing you to give you my updates, can you bring me back something Sweden is famous for, and i don't mean ABBA cd's :)

Will that mean same as last year but in a bigger box !!!!

  8. In a tourist/holiday perspective that is a slightly too positive picture of Chiang Rai. Basically it is the same as Chiang Mai with markets, hill tribes, and trekking extravaganza but just less. Chiang Rai city itself doesn't offer much to the general tourist, even less for a person already living in Thailand. Prices in town are not much different from Bangkok even with the exception that if it's cheaper it's not as good. Nightlife is non existent if you are looking for something with more style than hillbilly discos.

For a get away holiday trip on the other hand Chiang Rai has a bit to offer. No hustle and bustle with a relaxing atmosphere. It's a great base for doing short trips around the countryside which is recommended. Depending on your taste there are a few alternatives which easily can be reached by car or even motorbike. As opposed to Chiang Mai there are no sky high buildings and there is a genuine feel even though that's the same as any suburb or village outside of Chiang Mai. A higher level of friendliness from locals is guaranteed for the time being so that's nice too.

I recommend going if you consider a few trips to different spots that will certainly enhance the experience.

    "for the time being"

Goski do you know something we don't, are we about to be pillaged and raped by gangs of marauding old ladies or better still young one's ???

By the way are you back yet :)

  9. I have banked with the NW for some time and they along with post office had been the only banks if you want to call them that, giving free ATM withdrawals abroad. However in the past months all of the Thai banks are charging as much as 170 baht for each withdrawal, so consider the number of times carefully.

I have been told the international banks are still not charging but cannot confirm.

  10. Oh my my Sven you think of everything, details on the "hmm refreshing drink" please (for research purposes only)...!!

I find it more easy to send the wife with a shoppinglist.

Cost for her is only 40 baht on the Thai side and 10 baht in Burma.

And I can have a hmm refreshing drink and stay on the Thai side!

    :):D:D

  11. Hair dresser shop coould be a very good idea...most people need their hari cut...at least once in a while :D .

How about a restaurant? Everyones gotta eat...right :D I think can not loose on that one!!

Hair dressers are a protected Thai profession so you will have to find someone to work for you.

Restaurants and Bars are a good investment for sure, :D Just walk into any you like the look of and make them an offer they can't refuse and you will be the proud owner of your own bar or restaurant money pit. Guaranteed.

I've just had a brilliant idea, i will open a nice bar in the middle of town just for all the heavy drinking expat guy's who have loads of cash to spend and time on their hands to spend it in my new place, what a fantastic idea i bet no one has ever thought of that, its a sure winner !!!!!!

Actually I think you ae probably right about the bar idea. How can anyone loose with a bar in Thailand. Everyone in Thailand loves to drink :D

How are the drinking habits of the Thais and expats in the North?? I am sure not much different than us crazy guys here in Pattaya. Sometimes I am out drinking for more than two days in a row without sleep and I can tell you...there are a lot of guys here like me. If you can get all the guys up North like me...bound to make some decent cash!!

You obviously missed the sarcasm in my reply, it must be my Northern wit :o
