I bought a chev x cab. 660k new. Its an LTZ version and has two airbags, 7"touch screen audio that i can stream my phone to so i can listen to internet radio, nicer interior than standard, 6 speed 2.5l that gets 900klm to a tank around town, its the same power than my old 3.0 hilux, limited slip diff, has 20,000klm service intervals, parking sensors and more. I put trailblazr 18" wheels and tyres on it and better shocks and it looks and handles great, way better than my hilux. Perfectly reliable and much better value than the isuzu where you get nothing in the same spec pickup (5 speed, less powerful, no lsd,one airbag etc)
Add the fact it has no resale value i have a truck for life hahaha.
Folk still ride around in manual gear boxes.

What difference does wearing sandals make when you have to remove your footwear before entering?
Been to many immigration offices and never had to remove footwear. To which office are you saying you have to remove footwear to enter?

Young wife! She was 48, certainly the next door Thai neighbour would't have been having an affair with her. The only person who would be interested her would have been another desperate farang.
How do you know the victim was desperate?, and furthermore are the Japanese referred to as farangs?. Have some respect.

The stoning and arson attacks went on until the wee hours of Sunday after two young drug suspects died in a crash during a police chase.
Hmmm, Rab C Nesbit school of journalism.

You can comfortably figure that a diesel will be 30 percent more efficient than gasoline and need less maintenance.
Agreed, plus a diesel will have more grunt..
Oh dear oil burner brigade out in force. Who told you that, VW, you think Joe Public is taking notice of manufactures bolli* now, they've been feeding us bs for years. I for one hope the Yanks sue their butts off.
Unless you are doing zillions of KMs a year here, it's not an issue, Thailand pump prices are low, even crusty old farts out in Ubon nowhere can fill their tanks up.

Looks like its made from Filed Down Old Horse Shoes.
like the rest of the tarts boudoir too .
after a recent excursion to BKK, hard to decide who are the biggest t*ssers on the road, the Ranger mob or Tuners.
The Toyo boys just shade it.

re post #2.
You must be Leo-ed out again, most of the cartoons do not even require knowledge of Thai to understand them. As for humour try watching a few Thai film channels, most are very funny, and who cannot raise a chuckle with all those TV soaps with the sound effects.
Why, I even come across a CD of Mr Bean in Lao for sale in a shop in town.

Not sure which reality.. The EU should sort out its own problems.. No refugee problems here.
Whats that saying dont throw stones if you live in a bunker.
Sent from my c64
spot on there, towed out sea by the Navy, sent packing back to China, jungle grave yards. No refugee probs, Perhaps the EU should be getting advice from Thailand.

went through this for a small mount of time at Phitsanulok, it turned out no superior Imm Off in the building to sign off the retirement extensions. It's back to normal now, all done on the day.
I know a lot of elder ex-pats here who use the Embassy (UK) proof of income letter, often they are asked to provide evidence of actually spending money in Thailand..
Plus they can ask anything they like, I live in an area famous for its roadside grilled chicken stalls, once asked "where's our chicken?".
I know a lot of elder expats (embassy letter) and I don't know any who are asked to provide evidence of actually spending money. As that would be impossible because no one in Thailand gives receipts.
so you don't have ATM machines that churn out receipts when you draw out money on a UK credit or debit card. Or UK bank and credit card paper statements showing Thai transactions. IE shopping in Lotus.
Strange!. That's what the Imm O's wanted to see, some frigging evidence of spending money in Thailand. Jeez.

Great news. Ive missed reading about how England is falling apart, how kids have to learn arabic in schools, how easy it is to buy drugs, how kids eat too much sugar, ASBO kids etc etc. all written in a simple condescending language.
Broken Britain Broken Britain.
yep, but they have a new leftie loony to harass daily- one Mr J Corbyn.
-
I suppose as the Tories have gone more left and captured the majority, that Labour needs to go into wacky time lefty town just to be different.
I wouldn't give too much credence to what the UK right wing press say about him. The Torygraph in particular are running daily hatchet jobs on him.
Corbyn gave an insightful interview with BBC radio 4 yesterday, must admit he does comes across as one of my old English Lit teachers, but I can see how he will appeal to the young voters etc.
Remember in the UK we have had very socialist governments before, not the war criminal Blair and his New Labour, but Harold Wilson, Clement Atlee. God knows how many Brits would have been killed if it was not for Wilson keeping us out of the Vietnam war.
-
He can call for what he likes, but the truth of the matter is that neither him nor his party will see the limelight for many years to come in the uk.
I wouldn't bank on that, no one gave the Welsh a chance at Twickers.

930b for 7 litres of full synthetic oil and filter @ a mazda dealership sounds cheap.
yep must be having it away with one of the oil rags in the workshop.
Recent 160k km service on my D4D Vigo 1380 THB for 6L Toyota fully syn & 370 THB for the filter.
Usually they just put the half synthetic oil in but were very apologetic when handing me the bill, "not have" they kindly told me.

why do so many Farangs with no right to vote here have a problem with the Shinawatra political dynasty?
Maybe they have Thai family and not like how the people were cheated
Care to share how any of your (if any at all) Thai family were cheated?. Ya ba dealing ?

Does this " kinder politics" include support for the IRA and the various other murderous terrorist organizations which he has consistently espoused?
I do believe that one HM Queen was recently seen to shake the hand of the former commander of the Derry IRA brigade.
The ThaiVisa Daily Mail right wing nut jobs will be all over this topic. Cracking speech JC.

I watched a review last night and the consensus was that Mazda have missed the mark. People expecting it to be up with the class leading Ranger will be disappointed.
Depends on what "the mark" is... for years now, Mazda's strategy has been simple: be a price leader. I think they've still hit that mark.
LOL, can you remind us all of Mazda truck monthly sales, should be good for a laugh or two.

At one time, GM owned 49 percent of Isuzu so GM and Isuzu worked closely together. Since then Isuzu has bought back all except about 12 percent of GM shares. They still cooperate but it appears that they pretty much go their own ways. Isuzu opted to keep its own diesels and GM globally designed their own. Which is the best diesel? The Isuzu 3.0 liter is time tested and recently improved. Time will tell how well the GM Diesel holds up. The GM engine develops more torque and horse power but the torque curve suffers. Everything is a compromise.
Toyota own a share of Isuzu too, about 6%, it was to develop a small diesel engine together. Anyone remember the 1.7L unit that went in the GM Vauxhall Cavalier, that was an Isuzu lump.

It's all pretty simple. They make 12, 10, 8 and 6 speed autos because they are better than 4 speeds. How much each engine / chassis combination will benefit from extra gears varies, but there's always a benefit. The main one is FE, then there's responsiveness, smoothness and NVH.
Some high gear count auto's are now pulling better FE numbers than the same engine & chassis with MT.
In the case of the Pajero Sport, it's using a Aisin 8AT from the same family that BMW is now using in some of it's newer cars (previously they used ZF boxes). if they're good enough for BMW....
yes, most of us know and understand that, but, but the idjiot from Ubon R_____.

Injector cleaners do nothing unless you use them from the start. Ultra sound is the only way to clean them.
Modern oil needs nothing...
Sorry but you do not have a clue.
Tell all, mon ami.........open ears 'ere........
He's right, your motoring know how is decades out of date, All you do is clog up this motoring forum with smart arse comments. Retire now, gracefully to your front porch in Ubon Noclue.

not to worry folks, TV's resident grammar and general know it all from KPP, will be along soon to explain what the OED or if we are lucky, " wiki" defines as "play dead". Oh the anticipation.

1 trillion Baht lost on the rice scam
How much lost with the new airport?
Where does this money come from...think about it.
I accept that Prayut did between nothing and very little so far, he is a disappointment.
Abhisit did a few good things in education but complete failed in everything else, his coalition partner were terrible corrupt and he didn't do anything against. Complete mismanagement and broken promises at the demonstrations.
Thaksins, at the beginning did some real good things, I must admit that, but later it was just enriching himself and his cronies + destroying any independent agencies that may hinder him from getting total power. That more than outweigh the few good things. Also the internet censorship, ridiculous alcohol sales times, 3000 dead in his war against drugs, heavy hand approach in the south, heavy damage to education (which wasn't good before) came from him.
In compare to these Prayut is a shining star (which isn't difficult a concrete pole would rank good in compare with Abhisit, Thaksin and Yingluck)
and who has General P chosen as his new financial whiz kid to get this country back on its feet?. You couldn't make it up!.
New Toyota fortuner top spec freebies?

Ignore that piece of cr-- advice I mean, and do not go anywhere near a Ford dealership. Too many of us here still have nightmares from the 70'80's with Dagenham dustbins.
