  1. Sitting by a busy roadside yesterday, watching cars as I was having a Soda, out of the new crop of SUV's a few Everest, quite a few Mitsubishi but Fortuners were the most visible, but there was a lot of the older Fortuner model so maybe a few of those were in fact Everest as they look alike to me.

    You are aptly named ....☺

Just saying they could be mistaken for the same motor at a quick glance, I have a pic of my 2006 Fortuner when it was on red plates, it couldn't be mistaken for the new PJS or the new Fortuner, but could be mistaken for an Everest.

Just saying, didn't mean to upset you or your Bugatti Everest.

    If you're blind, maybe.

From our resident Ford expert who could only identify an Everest or Ranger because of the blue oval on the grille.

  2. beauty in the eye of the beholder etc, but that is one ugly pig of a motor, that interior with the single clock!. Of course Swedish friend servicing is cheaper here, how much pay a day do you think Somchai is on in the workshop compared to his oppo in Abba land?.

  3. I love it how white folks never bat an eye when black entertainers work into old age, ie: BB King, Hubert Sumlin, Muddy Waters,Buddy Guy, Willie Dixon etc. but seem almost insulted when white guys do it!! lol

That is because they are playing the Blues. Rock and Roll is a young man's game.

nonsense, no one makes fun of chuck berry, ike turner, sly, prince, santana,

well at least two on that list have passed on, perhaps they rocked a bit to long.

  4. ^^

Forget the butter, it serves no purpose, and add some sugar for the yeast to eat, else it probably won't rise.

2hrs is a long fermentation time? Mine is often 2-4 days, because I can't be bothered to keep mixing dough..

fat is incorporated into bread to keep it soft and make it last longer. I have never heard of adding sugar to the modern brands of instant yeast, it feeds off the nutrients in the flour. Its not necessary with dry active yeast either. Two hours is more than enough time, with Allisons easy bake yeast you can even use just one rise. Unfortunately I have run out of it and it's back to the Vietnamese stuff.

Bild, good effort, you'll get there. I am a retired baker who still dabbles a bit. Very hot in my bakery this time of year, I find after pre mixing to put the dough in the fridge for a bit. Use plenty of water, most of my doughs are 62/65% hydration.

You care to share your recipe?

Do you by any chance sell your bread?

yep, all my bread is for sale, my customers are mainly from Europe/USA/Aus with the odd Chinese Thai families. The recipes are basic and likely covered in this topic. Just bread flour, instant yeast, salt, water and I prefer butter instead of oils. I make dough in 2 to 3 kg batches and its probably in the technique where I would be different to others. I weigh everything in metric, use water at 18c, mix & knead thoroughly. I think that bread should have a good crumb. I have a long fermentation time, 2hrs+ and make sure the dough is fully proofed before going in the oven. I warm the gas oven up to 200c, and mostly bake everything at around 190c.

My wife bakes all the bread as I am usually at the work bench dough making, cutting shaping etc. My rolls are 90g, farmhouse loves/rounds 780g and baguettes from 150-300g.

This is my typical English farm house loaf:

    1kg bread or AP flour

    14g instant yeast

    18g salt

    40g butter

    610-620ml water

experiment with the amount of water, maybe more.

    That should make 2 loaves/rounds

  6. "The British trade envoy said later that he wanted to see the Thai government amend the Foreign Business Act and make some changes to the Notification of the Alcoholic Beverages Control, in order to improve the ease of doing business in Thailand for the British private sector."

  7. Congrats to the OP for taking notice of the inherent goodness in his wife and her circle friends. He will be taken care of in his twilight years too.

Commiserations to the lonely and bitter buggers who have contributed to the thread so far (you know who you are).

The Op's post is a load of incoherent mumbo jumbo, as for yours, insulting and childish response. Try to keep up.

  8. Been with BUPA for 10 years, Thai wife and I covered under the Ruby policy about 26k THB per year. Never had to make any sort of claim. I came here with a heart condition, declared it under pre existing conditions and have a list of exclusions as long as your arm. Took it out anyway in case I fell off my bike etc. Been reading up on ThaiLife and there is an agent in our Soi so may change as the fees and coverage appears better.

  9. The s7 has fast charging.. can get back to 60% in half an hour.. iphone does not even come close.. also the camera quality is better, plus you can add as much storage as you want for a far lower price as the Iphone.

rich boys and their toys, AIS combo is all you need. Asus or Lenova worth a look.

  10. Get the diesel. It has loads more torque and is much cheaper to run.

talking out your bass as per usual. Op go drive the petrol Revo, you will be pleasantly surprised, it has plenty of power and very quiet. Unless you are doing zillions of miles hauling durian, torque and costs are negligible and your hearing will not suffer.
