    Viphawadi-Rangsit road isn't usually blocked outside of rush hour also. It's usually not difficult to get to. More importantly, what a U-turn they've taken over Don Muang. They shut it down for years, now they want a third terminal there!

    Visa system in Thailand is very outdated and needs to be modernized. Why only 30 days for most countries. What actual harm does it do by allowing people to stay longer, which so many do anyway?

    Not as far as I know but could be wrong. There are cases of women getting pregnant in prison.

    Yes of course. Tokyo doesn't have a great deal of character in my opinion. Kyoto most certainly did but Tokyo not so, although where I stayed (Asakusa) had a nice temple, and a few niceish gardens. Tokyo is too much of a sprawling metropolis where nearly all buildings look very similar and lack any real character. And its not the only city in Japan to fit that bill.

    The problem is if he gets a royal pardon the courts don't have the power to overrule it. So they can't actually say he will serve 8 years in prison, they can only sentence him and hope he doesn't get a royal pardon or some other deal perhaps.
