Hi there, most unfortunately I discovered last week that someone I spent a night or two with is HIV+, and so I have to go and get myself tested now to see if I have caught it. I've never had to do this before and have never even had an std before so how I go about this in Bangkok I really don't know. Could someone recommend where is the best place to go. I need to get a consultation because I don't know how long I am supposed to wait before this shows up in tests and I don't know if there are governmental clinics that offer such services or whether I have to do it privately. It's something that has never happened to me before and looking on line isn't all that much help as they want you to book appointments but I don't know how long I am even supposed to wait first, so I am hoping to find a place I can call and ask when should I come in to be tested. If someone could assist with this matter it would be most appreciated, given the nature of the disease I may or may not have picked up. Many thanks.

Yeah you are probably right there but its still a poor African country with very little else to offer. Many of my former colleagues are Sudanese and tried to get me to go over when I was working in Saudi. I looked into it and told them to get stuffed.

From what I understand, when pupils have completed Prathom 6 and wish to move up to Mattayom 1, they must take an entrance exam. Could someone tell me if the pass/fail rate for this is ever published and also is it the same exam for every school? Many thanks.

If you look into how it came about, and how it was sold in the beginnings, that is exactly what happened. I was caught up in that scene for years. These days I don't know what they do with it but it should be heavily MDMA based with maybe an added something or maybe not. MDMA can't shift your mood up and down easily because its amphetamine based but ecstasy was being sold in nightclubs before and supposed to help you get into trance and house and acid music more, so that the esperiences on it shifted about more, along with the night club music. MDMA alone can't really do that but it might be sold like that these days. I am too out of touch with it to know. Last time I touched it was in CHina in 2008 and that was pure MDMA yes, no doubt about it. If that's what it is these days then so be it but it never used to be like that in the 90s. Such things did go on sale back then but they were called flatliners not ecstasy.

Strange post, everyone knows if you walk around Nana after, say 2am, you will see dozens and dozens of African dudes all wanting to sell you cocaine with prices set at 3000, 5000, and 7000. I have lost count of the amount of times I have been approached by them. The quickest way to get rid of them is to ask them what the purity level of what they are selling is, because they can't answer, they simply don't know. And with 4 decades of buying that <deleted> behind me, that is a question you really have to know the answer to before buying it. Most likely what they are selling is so heavily cut, it's rubbish, and you won't get much out of it. We had the same problem with south africans about 10 years ago, and the stuff they sold was not worth touching, and they were being helped by the police.

Some silly posts on here, ecstasy is of course a drug, and like one poster has said is MDMA based, often with a tranquiliser thrown in and a bit more, depending on who made it. You could never get it for less than 800 a pill when it was really popular in Bangkok around 2000-2005. The effects of it in the article are grossly exaggerated although, its relatively harmless.

I don't think it's a good idea to visit another country so that you can cut down their trees. He should have cut down trees in his own country instead. The next time I visit another country, I will not be cutting down any trees. I will go home if I want to do that.

This is a problem because I am not renting or staying in a hotel. My ex-wife is renting and on whatever documentation that exists, I am not. I can't prove where I stay unless the owner calls them up or something.
