  1. Yeah she's gorgeous. Just don't spend too much on the bed linen ????. He's put on a lot of weight during the trial. Must have been a stressful period.
  2. No I'm saying it's no more important than yours or mine. Which makes me wonder why you posted it in the first place - since what some Guardian hack thinks proves nothing.
  3. Actual quotes from named sources pertain to what was happening before this trial. Only The Guardian's hack and a conveniently unnamed 'insider' offered an opinion on what happens now. It's the hack's personal opinion i.e. irrelevant.
  4. Now that I'd pay for. Aquaman? Yeahhh not so much...
  5. The Guardian? ???? Their opinion was also that Amber Heard was an 'imperfect victim'. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/may/22/metoo-is-over-if-we-dont-listen-to-imperfect-victims-like-amber-heard That's an interesting way to describe someone who fabricated a sexual assault to destroy the reputation of an innocent man. Forgive me if I dismiss their ridiculous editorial pieces. Their opinion on Depp's future career and Heard's career as an 'activist' are irrelevant. She'll be lucky to escape perjury charges after lying about donating her divorce settlement to charity.
  6. I would disagree. Prior to this 2022 case Johnny Depp had been labelled a domestic violence abuser. Now, even though his drug and alcohol issues have been exposed during the trial, he has been cleared of the accusation of domestic and sexual violence. I'd rather be known as someone who drinks too much and takes drugs than a wife beater and perpetrator of sexual assault. Depp has experienced huge public support during the trial. Countless friends and ex partners spoke glowingly under oath about his decency as a human being. He had won his reputation back in the court of public opinion long before yesterday's verdict. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him landing major roles going forward.
  7. Yes I am well aware we are not in the US. This thread is about Thailand and it may have escaped your attention that there are a lot of guns here and people get shot here for very minor reasons. I recall two in the last week. One because some guys turned up in a noisy cement truck and another because a stranger asked someone for a beer. Again, not in the US. In Thailand. You may also be aware that loss of face is no joke here. Forcibly cutting the hair of someone's child in front of their classmates would fall into that bracket so my point is maybe it would be prudent to stop this humiliating practice before a parent having a bad day turns up at the schoolgates and fixes the problem themselves, Thai style.
  8. But you don't have to take a test on arrival. So you don't have to prove that you are infection free.
  9. I followed this case pretty closely and it was good to see justice served. Amber Heard was clearly lying. For an actress, she was incredibly unconvincing on the stand. Now her career is in tatters, pretty much unemployable due to the wave of public opinion against her and she will likely be made bankrupt by the damages awarded. She could have just taken the 7 million divorce settlement and carried on with her life of luxury and Hollywood career. Not too smart that one.
  10. This doesn't surprise me. It was just a matter of time in fact. It also wouldn't surprise me if a gun is used at some point in the future. They need to stop this humiliating practice immediately before someone gets seriously hurt, either by a student or a parent. People get killed here for a lot less than humiliating/assaulting someone's child.
  11. He seems to have completely ignored inflation, which is rampant now. Maybe he's just of the opinion that it shouldn't cost too much to teach kids how to sing the national anthem, respect their superiors and not ask difficult questions. Which is pretty much the aim of Thai education.
  12. It means they arrived in one of those large trucks that carry cement in a rotating barrel on the back. It's amazing how small arguments can turn into multiple shootings here. Some people are very highly strung.
  13. Doesn't that imply that they have no intention of having a General Election? It's absolutely mind blowing what this government (Junta) has been allowed to get away with.
  14. It does seem that Tourists are somewhat exempt from the stupid rule. Maybe I need to get my hair braided and slip on a pair of elephant pants next time I'm out and about in BKK. Seriously though, clearly someone with connections has an interest in manufacturing/selling these useless things. LOS has turned into LOM. Very sad that the decline of Thailand continues unabated.
  15. I'm getting the impression they really haven't thought this through properly.
  16. These are simply toys for the Generals and a mechanism to take some brown envelopes as part of the deal. Hence, weapons are not required. I see them flying over our farm near Korat. Probably got one of their gigs along for the ride. Unfortunately and somewhat predictably, they cannot fly them properly so I am always a bit nervous when they are over the top of our property in case it comes down and explodes into a ball of flames, like this one did in March.
  17. Maybe it's nothing to you. But to other people, the widening wealth gap under your administration has very tangible effects. Real impact on their lives. As for what you were reading on the plane, I would have expected a comic tbh. But maybe anything more complicated than a blank piece of paper would have overloaded your simple mind. In fairness, maybe the photo was taken before he was handed the crayons.
  18. An announcement about a possible announcement. Riveting. Let us know when it's ACTUALLY declared Endemic. Thanks...
  19. How inconvenient. They'll have to continue to be driven to Thong Lor for a drink and a bunk up now. I can just imagine the reaction to this news. "Offices? What do we need offices for?".
  20. Yeah I regret getting the third. It made me really ill. It was much worse than Covid in fact, which I still caught despite having 3 jabs and being compliant on the mask wearing charade.
  21. Untrue. They warned her. They would not warn her if they did not believe she had committed a crime. They would have simply ignored it. Much easier for them. By the way, H is right next to G on that dusty old keyboard of yours. ????
  22. Let's say we're going to act in good faith, then try to annex one part of the UK from the rest of the UK by abusing an agreement that we pretended was there to maintain peace on the island of Ireland. Makes for great future relations.
  23. Sturgeon made the laws in Scotland re Covid rules. She made stricter laws than Johnson in an act of "oneupmanship". She then broke the laws multiple times (maskless at a pub, at the barbers etc.). Your hatred of Johnson is clouding your judgement.
  24. Yeah, because the police in London are super right wing and ultra conservative ????. Taking the knee to marxists and painting police cars with LGBT colours is a well known trait of right wing police forces around the world ????,
  25. There is photographic evidence of it, she admitted to it and apologized, then was formally warned by the police. Not every crime results in a fine you know. Sometimes it's jail time, sometimes community service, sometimes a fine, sometimes police choose to warn instead. Doesn't mean the crime didn't take place. They wouldn't have warned her for a crime if it didn't take place. In this case the police chose to warn instead of fine in this case, so you claim the crime didn't happen ????. That's what called 'lack of logic derived from extreme political bias'.
