  1. Look on the bright side, at least he didn't fall over as he stumbled away taking those short little steps.
  2. Old figures. Vinny already corrected you. The EU has been working on a trade deal with Thailand for decades. Given the way the EU negotiates I can't see it happening within the next 10 years. Anyway, that's their problem. We're out of the corrupt federalist project and our economy is growing, unlike theirs .
  3. Yes, the only thing expanding except for GDP ????. https://www.dailyfx.com/news/forex-gbp-breaking-news-uk-economy-expands-0-1-in-q1-of-2023-gbp-usd-bid-20230512.html
  4. "Expected" lol. We all know how people love to talk down the UK economy before the real figures prove them wrong. It's a national sport. https://theconversation.com/uk-economy-why-the-bank-of-england-is-now-more-upbeat-than-the-imf-205670 Back in the real world, it is the EU with the real problems. https://www.politico.eu/article/germany-olaf-scholz-europe-eurozone-slipped-into-recession-and-everyone-should-be-worried/ Must be tough to read after bleating about what a disaster Brexit was going to be.
  5. Why are you comparing it to 2019? The UK has made huge strides since then. Left the EU, signed loads of trade deals etc. From your link, here is more recent data. UK has growth. EuroZone is in recession. Germany, the powerhouse of the EU is in recession. https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/german-business-sentiment-falls-further-june-2023-06-26/ Doesn't seem like all the doomsday predictions are coming true. Well, not for the UK anyway...
  6. Ahhh. Another Brexit bonus. Free from EU rules and regulations and able to make our own partnerships. I believe the EU's attempts at closer ties to Thailand have been floundering for years. But we all know how long it takes for that monolithic organization to move. I guess that's why the EuroZone is in recession while the UK has avoided it. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/06/08/economy/eurozone-recession/index.html It seems Brexit was a cliff edge after all. Just not for the UK.
  7. Interesting. All reports I read had indicated that the vessel would have been completely crushed from the massive implosion, yet here we have very large pieces being recovered, ostensibly with some human remains inside. The nose cone was pretty much intact as well. Hopefully with such large pieces recovered they will have a better chance of working out what happened.
  8. On the bright side, treatment is available for Zoosadism. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoosadism#:~:text=Zoosadism is pleasure derived from,a precursor to psychopathic behavior.
  9. Indeed. It seems buried in every "bitten by PitBull" headline is a sentence along the lines of "Somchai was beating the PitBull with an iron rod, something he had done for many years". If you are stupid enough to "discipline" dogs using violence, you deserve to be bitten.
  10. You want to ban Pit Bulls because some retarded drunk son attacked his mother with a Buddha statue? I think you might be barking up the wrong tree. It sounds like these Pit Bulls need protecting from the family, not the other way around.
  11. Indeed. He was recently claiming his son died there as well. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12113639/Biden-raises-eyebrows-claiming-late-son-Beau-passed-away-brain-cancer-died-Iraq.html I'm really not sure how this can be allowed to continue.
  12. Nothing more than a meaningless deflection from the very serious story of the President's mental decline.
  13. Well, fortunately Jesse isn't the President of the United States.
  14. Oh come on... give him a break - he can't remember everything. I do hope Joe is delegating the sending of weapons to Ukraine to someone mentally competent though. Otherwise someone in a Baghdad post office is going to get one hell of a surprise when the truck with the ballistic missiles turns up ????.
  15. I saw your comments on NDT testing. You are proving my point. Even highly regulated industries like cycling have catastrophic failures with carbon fibre. The fact that you have already charged, tried and convicted a dead man so soon after his death speaks volumes. The sub could have hit metal that fell or was thrown from one of the many ships that still use that busy shipping lane. You have no idea what really happened. There has been no investigation. No conclusion. No charges against the remaining people involved in the business. Judge jury and executioner of a recently deceased man who cannot defend himself. Think about that for a moment. Why? I think we both know....
  16. Exactly. Should the CEO of these companies go to jail because one of his/her bicycles failed? One would assume the bicycle industry is regulated yet these things still happen. Even a proponent of safety over innovation like yourself still rides these carbon fibre bikes knowing they can, in certain circumstances collapse. These people did the same, knowing they could die. And die they did. It can happen when you take huge risks like deep sea exploration in one off, experimental vehicles. That's why they had to sign a waiver that mentioned death 3 times on the first page. And sign it they did, hence they knew the risks (unless they didn't read it which again is their responsibility). They are not his victims. 4 of the 5 are grown adults who chose to take a very risky mission to the bottom of the ocean in an experimental vehicle after signing a waiver. If they didn't know that carbon fibre was a poor choice for the vehicle that is their responsibility to find out and then make an informed decision. Not unlike when I take a ride in a Jeepney in Philippines I know that they are not made from the ideal materials under strict QC and design laws, but I still hop on and hope for the best knowing I could die in the event of a crash. I'm not a victim of the Jeepney designer if I die in a Jeepney, I simply took an unnecessary risk and got unlucky. Nobody forced them onto the vehicle at gunpoint, quite the opposite they paid 250k USD each. The only one you could argue was a victim was the teenager, but if he IS a victim then he is a victim of his father's poor judgement and pressure to go, not a victim of Rush.
  17. Good advice. Play the slow game. Get yourselves established before taking on contentious issues. No point needlessly ruffling feathers until you've got your feet well and truly under the table.
  18. I wouldn't overthink it, they certainly don't. I think they do it because everyone else in that environment does it. It's a bit of short term excitement getting it done as well. Quite a few get them on the lower stomach to cover the stretch marks after child birth as well. No great thought goes into it and some of the tattoos are truly awful. I know one really pretty girl in her late 30's who is covered in them (both forearms, full back piece) and she openly said to me that she hates them and wishes she didn't have them. She said she's really embarrassed when her young niece asks what they are and has to try to cover them when she visits family. Personally I don't mind them and rarely give it a second thought but I do think it's a shame sometimes when you see a beautiful girl with perfect, smooth skin and a huge blob of badly done ink, especially when it's a skull or something.
  19. I would disagree. The jail appears to have succeeded. Epstein is gone, a couple of Britons (Ghislaine Maxwell and Prince Andrew) have been hung out to dry while all the powerful individuals (Clinton, Gates etc.) who visited Epstein island and travelled on the Lolita Express have discreetly exited stage left. Job's a good 'un.
  20. They've been lying about Hunter for years. Why stop now?
  21. Ridiculous to blame weed when he'd also taken Meth. It's well known that weed has a calming effect. The only thing I want to murder after a smoke is a cheese sandwich.
  22. I don't need to be an expert on amputation to know that Oscar Pistorius only has one leg.
  23. I wouldn't be so sure. It's still a paid job for someone if you didn't do it. You are effectively taking the work of a Thai Arborist. My farm is not a commercial farm, it's a hobby farm. It's basically a house with a very, very large garden and lots of fruit trees in said "garden". And what if the work that I am doing is not work (farming), but simply gardening. I would simply be pruning a tree in my garden, same as the guy with a 4 x 4 metre lawn in his 2 up 2 down house in the Moo Bahn. Ultimately it's Thailand so how this is all interpreted would come down to whether you had irritated the wrong people. Checking people in at a hotel is a totally different ball game.
  24. No proven evidence of gross dereliction of safety. They could have been struck by an underwater object for all we know. The risks were spelled out in the waiver that they signed. The risk of death was mentioned 3 times on the first page. They signed it. Why do you always need a 'victim'? Such a strange mentality. Good to see you can predict the outcome of future trials that will never take place. A handy skill to have. No proven evidence that he killed someone with his recklessness. This wouldn't have anything to do with his links to the Republicans by any chance would it? ???? https://nypost.com/2023/06/22/the-left-says-stockton-rush-deserves-to-die-for-backing-gop/
  25. Well done Thailand. Hope this strengthens the Baht.
