Just saw this on the BBC website. Great to see him showing the strength and maturity of his leadership to the world, the Thai people must be so proud.

The N
ACC are in a tight spot. Upset their paymasters, or lose all remaining credibility. Since money (and personal safety) is extremely important, I'm guessing they opt for the latter. -
With this clown, the Shins and Uncle Too, things are looking bright and rosy for Thai politics
-
Phew. I can sleep easy tonight knowing that the NACC is a superb, strong, unbiased organization and corruption ended when those nasty, nasty reds were overthrown by the ‘good people’ who only have the interests of Thailand in their heart.
Well done to everyone involved. Bravo.

So....the National Anti-Corruption Committee....the sole body that investigates corruption....might NOT have jurisdiction to investigate corruption!!!
Amazing Thailand
Oh they can investigate. Just not the "good people".

The war criminal ignoring the wishes of the people again, just as he did when he took us to war to find those weapons of mass destruction that never existed.
Shame on this fool. He should be in jail for all the lives lost in that pointless invasion.

You dont get extra mileage from higher octane fuel.
You do on high compression engines, but I'd agree that on the OP Yamaha Nouvo you probably wouldn't.

This is fantastic news. As we've seen in the last 3 years, K.Prayut always keeps his promises

I bought some Forma boots for the wife, she wore them twice and one of the soles came away!!!
Also from Paddock.
Mate bought a Shoei GT air and had an issue.
Also from Paddock...
Sent from my iPhone using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile appYep my Sidi's from the same place lasted about the same amount of time before the sole came off.
The last pair I bought were Dainese and I have to say they are fantastic boots and well worth a bit extra. In fact, all their gear is fantastic and worth the extra cash.
-
They won't ban 91, but even if they do you can use 95. The extra mileage you get from 95 compared to 91 makes up for the small difference in price.

It appears Khun Prayuth Chan O Cha is eager to know her exact whereabouts .... is he initiating an extradition request ? lets hope so ...
I really hope he requests extradition. That would be hilarious watching the UK politely decline the good General's request then watching him claim it was all a misunderstanding and he'd never requested it in the first place.
-
He doesn't have to explain anything. He wasn't voted in and him and his mates control the soldiers, the tanks and the guns. That's what happens when democratically elected governments are overthrown by military Juntas. The Junta huggers must be so proud supporting this lot for their own short term convenience.

For dirt bike boots you can try Dirtshop in BKK as well.

I got tyres for my Ninja from U-Turn Bangkok, good price - maybe give them a call they've got a hot chick who speaks very good English.

1.There will be no coup.
2. I will not be Prime Minister.
3. I am not interested in entering Politics.
To name just 3.

I wonder how much of the 'branded' stuff here is counterfeit?Sounds like they are counterfeit, I've never had a pair of shoes, golf shoes, walking shoes fall apart in Thailand
I doubt they were counterfeit. 4 pairs of boots from 3 different sources. I just think they tend to sell old stock here so the boots are often 2-3 years old by the time you buy them and then the glue further deteriorates over time with the heat and rain. Not a huge issue, couple of hundred baht and half an hour to sort out. Takes me longer to apply Saddle Soap to my leathers and that needs to be done regularly.

Soles falling off motorcycle boots seems to be commonplace here.
I had a pair of Alpinestars and a pair of Sidi from a well known shop that rhymes with Haddock and the soles fell off. On the Sidi they fell off within 2 weeks.
Also a pair of Alpinestars from A Square and the sole fell off. Plus a worn pair that an owner threw in with a bike purchase and the sole fell off.
I just glue them back on with good quality E-Poxy and they stay on then. Or a shoe shop could repair them for you. Not sure if it's the climate here or poor quality products.

In the current climate of rich v poor London is the ideal place to hang out. And it won't be to long before titles are dished out Lady-Luck has a nice ring about it .
The UK's Immigration must be one of the easiest to side step for rich fleeing criminals even with a so say intentional arrest warrants on their head how?Fleeing criminals? International arrest warrants?
Democratically elected leaders removed by military regimes are usually granted visas by sophisticated democratic countries until they have been convicted of a real crime in a real court.

How are the investigations of the guy right side in the picture going lately?
But weren't the junta your heroes not so long ago?
Don't rush him. It takes some slow learners longer than others to see the painfully obvious. Give him another couple of years to work it out.

How much approx for a set?

I'd also consider the top model IRC. Don't confuse them with the junk IRC's that go on new bikes, I binned those after a few rides. The top of the line model is soft and sticky, and excellent value (less than 5000 Baht for 2 tyres for my Ninja) . I think the model is IZ-S99.
-
There's no set limit, it depends on storage conditions, type of tyre etc. but if they look OK and feel OK then they're probably OK.
I kept a pair on my seldom ridden Ninja for about 7 years and it was very obvious when they were done. You could easily see the cracks, the rear locked up with a sniff of rear brake, they felt hard to the touch (and while riding) and the bike would get head shake at about 60 kph.
Having said that, if you're not sure it's obviously better to replace.

I was out and about in Bangkok yesterday and saw loads of these Aerox. At one point the whole front row at the lights were these models. Not a huge fan of scooters but these are by far the best looking of the bunch IMO. Also saw a few Qbix scooters and a lot of Nmax, seems Yamaha are going from strength to strength.

Royal Enfield seem way overpriced here. If these 650s are around the 340,000 Baht mark then you'd be mad to take that ahead of a 399k Triumph Street Twin IMO. No comparison in terms of quality. Royal Enfield are popular in India because they are so cheap, 340k is a bit of a joke. Worth considering at 250k but not at much more than that.

Banning them seems harsh. Also not sure why they're only concerned with the spread of disease at New Year but not the rest of the Year.
Maybe they could compromise on an outright ban and just charge them the Farang price? Thais 20 Baht. Dogs/Farangs 400 Baht. Surprised no "officials" thought of that, missed a trick.

Overweight massage girls screaming at you, Taxis and buses crawling past beeping at you, overpriced gogo bars, buses parked everywhere containing hordes of Chinese tourists who then proceed to follow a flag up Walking Street and stand outside the bars taking photos of a handful of farangs spending money.
That was my experience last time I was there.

Very sad case. Given his history of sexual violence it's difficult not to be skeptical about his claims that it was simply an accident. Hopefully justice prevails and he's not able to buy his way out.
