  1. A lot of these announcements both in Thailand and in the US feel like marketing stats. I empathize with the vax resistant in some respects. (fully vaxxed by the way, teen children included)
  2. Gmx German reliability, free... And still unpopular enough to where you can get a 3 character email address. (life hack for travelling and for when you have to give your email out on the phone to people with various accents). ????
  3. Thanks for the reply. Yes, no doubt the numbers overall are going to be low.
  4. That seems kind of low. I don't have access to an Amadeus terminal but just my immediate family has 5 seats (returning to BKK) for a trip I'm on now and another 9 in December on KE,.... I don't think we're 5% of Skyteam bookings to BKK. Haven't done a survey of friends and family but judging from their TikTok and IG feeds, I know of at least 50-60 people who are travelling (and presumably will be coming home.... Although of course other folks have their own favorite carriers/alliances). Can you see all Skyteam bookings or just Delta marketed Skyteam codeshare flights?
  5. TH has always been a favorite for Japanese charity and development. It's kind of how many households here view their Laotian maids.
  6. The US CDC card is very bare bones. Just the dates the jabs were administered along with the vaccine name and batch number, also the name of the nurse who gave the jab.... All handwritten. We had the hospital print out secondary verification (basically just the same information on hospital letterhead along with a supervising physician's signature/stamp) in anticipation of the likely wave of people coming up with fake vaccination cards.... that coupled with photos of us at the hospital getting the jabs, ready to whip out should our jabs be questioned by airlines or immigration anywhere. I would have done the old school newspaper prop to timestamp the photos but couldn't find any shops still selling newspapers. ???? Hopefully there will be some kind of international standard that some techie will come up with, maybe blockchain based.
  7. *Bump* There's also an error/bug on the Thai national form for US mobile number (US site, LA consulate). It allows you to enter +0 if you don't have an "other country" number but the system rejects you for not having a number a day later. Resubmitted with Google number. Knock on wood.
  8. Now that's the kind of anecdotal stuff I was looking for... ????????
  9. Yeah my GP has no idea about what the various customs/border control orgs around the world will stipulate as OK to enter. Not really concerned with actual vaccine effectiveness; more concerned with the legalities of vaccines in regard to travel. Hence the wide 'what have you heard' net.
  10. For travel that is. I know it's still early days. It seems the standard is 2 weeks from your 2nd dose (of a 2 dose regimen) to be considered fully vaccinated. Any word on how long you're good for though? 1 year? Hopefully not less, hopefully longer. The first 'classes' of fully vaxxed folks (Americans and people who had availability first) should be coming up on one year in December.
  11. Have ya'll seen this available anywhere here? Couldn't find it at Home Pro. The section manager said to just use PVC glue, haha. Usually am happy with just the pvc tape but want a slightly higher peace of mind (of seal) for a couple of faucets I'm putting in.
