If you are so dissatisfied with Thailand why continue to post on this are any other forum. I always wonder how do some become sucessful in Thailnd while others only complain about the rules and regs. they should have known about before making the move. It is about like the lady who wants a divorce from her husband and some one ask her why do you want a divorce, you knew he was a problem before marriage. She says, I thought I could change him.
Well good luck in what ever you do or where ever you move to are you sure it will be the place for you

Yeah sure he is a politician but no one from any country gets that high up in there police force without being a politician. He did good in Chiang Mai one visit and he dropped the hammer on the immigration office. They cleaned up and started doing customer service after his visit they were open from 7am till they had taken care of everyone who showed up. A complete turn around thanks to big Joke

Hi folks,
I'm searching for information about O-X visa requested health insurance.
I plan to get this visa to travel from France to Thailand once a year, staying 4 months in Thailand and 8 months in France each year.
This is what is requested:
Thai medical insurance during their stay in Thailand (per the approval of the Office of Insurance Commission) and medical claims for outpatient must not be less than 40,000 Baht, for inpatient must not be less than 400,000 Baht.
As I will only stay 4 months per year in Thailand I'm wondering if the gov wil accept a 4 months insurance or if it is requested that I get a full year contract.
Any help would be greatly appreciated ????
CheersNever heard of a O-x visa it is either a O visa or a O-A visa and then some other stuff like a tourist visa.

I don't think all the others really understand what mfp is? It's a new young leader that's thinking like a candidate should think. For the people by the people in an honest true way. Well as much is as possible. After all, a PM cannot affect a whole country 100% positively. There still will be corrupt people hidden amongst the trees.
They understand totally who and what the MFP is they also understood 4 years ago as they underminded the party then and now.

So the old man gets into a fight and then complains about his heart, it is almost comical that you come to Thailand for some fun but cannot handle your booze and then you get beat up. I would like to know why they were asked to leave the bar. More than likely bothering the girls

Uncle Prayut is selflessly trying to save the country yet again...lol
Even though I like Pitta he tprpedoed himself by not getting rid of those shares. The same thing happened what 5 years ago and he thought he was above it all, who knows what he was thinking or not thinking

Too many come here thinkingthat Thailand is Soi4, soi Cowboy, and Pattaya. Then they do something that is really dumb and they face the harsh reality that Thailand is not what they thought or what they were led to believe

Do not attack anyone personally, I have read many negative reviews and a few lies. A friend ran a guest house here in CM, people came and left he gets a review that there was no parking but the guest had no car. Also his information on the hotel indicated no parking so go figure.

Same sort of thing happened to my mate a while ago. The house balcony had a solid edge around it about 8 inches deep. There were 3 one inch drains fitted. During a monsoon rain the drains were plugged with leaves and the balcony filled with water resulting in it collapsing in to the lounge..
Not really the same, your mate didn't lean out the leaves before the rain

I think he will become the new General Prem and take up permanent residence in the house he currently resides in. There will then be the annual trip to visit him by the new PM and a kissing of the ring for a blessing of good fortune for the New Year. Just mu view.
Nah, Prem was on the Kings official advisors for years. Prayut is a long way from that yet

Maybe damage to forest or beach land ? Not sure, but I saw many newly built villas on Phuket , mostly on hillside near the sea. I was told by a friend who lives in Kata that they were mostly Russian owned. Same has happened in Bali .
The damages would be illigal ownership of land

Is it really cost effective to have an island wide sweep to nab a few idiots who don't bother with the rules.
The rules are a lot of the problem. Thailand just loves to make things more and more difficult...except foe the red carpet Chinese of course!
Why are the rules a problem, I have been here 13 years and no problem with the rules. There are always people who will break the rules, they just cannot be bothered.

If only there was an easy way for Brits to move, work, and retire to the EU, and even get FREE healthcare and automatic driving rights, and not have to get visas, and wait in queues like foriegners at every airport outside the UK.
If only there was such a system in place...
But I'm dreaming, that would make too much sense, and besides, the channel would be flooded with illegals in boats! ????
But, but, but they voted the easy way out hahahahahaha

ThaiBev and Boon Rawd should support the craft brew industry.
Let the small companies build awareness, brands, markets and then buy them (if they choose to sell).
Note that this duopoly hold a Royal Warrant of Approval (and can display the Royal Garuda symbol), So any perceived minimizing of this status could be viewed in a negative light.
ThaiBev had to break thru to become they are now. it is an interesting story about their fight to be able to brew and sale beer.

Priorities, lol!
I just hope and pray this party isn't aligned with the woke globalist agenda. If these people are selected by the Davos/WEF crowd then the young Thai voter will be screwed yet again for another generation.
Who is this guy Pita Limjaroenrat anyway, and where did he come from all of a sudden? Wikipedia says he's a student of Harvard and MIT which makes him a perfect candidate amongst the globalist elite. I'd suspect the IMF can't wait to offer billions of $$ in loans to ramp up spending and set the stage for large foreign financial corporations to slowly sneak into the Thai economy and start the robbery. Feels like young MFP voters are having their Barack Obama moment, which was a A big trojan horse!Too early to celebrate, but if the 100-senators doesn't vote him in; there's no way he becomes PM. Plus, the more parties they cooperate with to form a government, the less of these bills comes a reality.
Thailand certainly needs a young fresh leader, but I'm not a fan of someone making useless priorities by putting gay marriage their 2nd top enactment. Plain and stupid!
You are all for the bunch that just left it seems a bit of a right wing rules are ok
