  1. Thanks for your fast reply! Looks like you need to spend 100k Baht to use their pickup service. Cheers

Did you book room or any programs in advance, sir?
Transport service of our hotel will be providing for Airfare program customer only (Buy-in NND chip THB100.000)
In case that customer not buy-in the program, customer is able to take bus or rent taxi at the airport and the rental is responsed by customer.

Is the pickup service only available for those staying at Savanvegas?

    Thanks

Savan does not offer the visa service any longer. But they do have transport from Ubon. This URL will take you to their homepage www.savanvegas.com

You could also check Nok Air for flights to Mukdahan. they offer a fly/ride service visa Nakon Phanom.

I think so. They offer for free which I doubt they would do for everybody.

Click on shuttle service on this page where they mention it being available: http://www.savanvegas.com/promotions.html

You should contact them to confirm and get more info.

  2. They didn't even check my passport for previous stamps! If I was border runner then fair enough.

Would also be interesting to know more about the OP's visa history, has he been staying in Thailand on Tourist visas/visa free entries for a long time? Apart from that, reading some previous threads I had to conclude that at Ranong they sometimes refuse people who are very obviously bona fide tourists.

  3. I didn't think they'd issue 90(APEC) days at a land crossing. Otherwise I would have taken my card. What's really annoyed me is that I have no overstays and not been a border runner. They didn't look at my previous history(stamps). Just to say no to a 15 day visa because of what!...because they can! And was mentioned in another post it means less work. They only need to deal with the gamblers visiting Andaman Club.

If you have an APEC card, why didn't you get yourself another 90 days?

  4. Hi , anyone successfully had their marriage visa approved, using the minimum salary per month method? I went in on Monday with all the relevant docs/pictures. The Farang Imm Officer told me that 400k would be accepted but probably not 40k....even though I had stat dec from the NZ embassy stating my income was 90k a month!

Is this a case of different office/rules? I've attached the information form for those who might need it.

    Cheers

  5. Friends of mine had one built recently. Made of steel and colour bond style roofing. They have a similar house to your and it cost 150,000b. They did I nice job. I'll try to find the number.

I also know a good builder, but, need to know what it will be made from.

Concrete and tiles? Bamboo with thatch? Wood?

    Hi Karen,

Thank you and would appreciate the info ! It is a pergola style extension (meaning flat roof) to give more cover, it will be attached to the house, stick out and have support posts.

I am open to different construction materials depending on the advice given, as long as it suits the house. To give you an idea see photo of similar house

and the extension needs to cover the whole front and stick out about 2.5 meters...
