Why say an 'unprecedented incident' ? Thaksin didn't adhere to a court's decision. I think, in this case, her brother's snuffing of a court decision (and maintaining his popularity in the process), will give Yingluck confidence to snuff the current court's decision, when it rules against her. It's part of the Shinawatre credo: Talk haughtily about 'upholding rule of law' but if/when the law rules against you, snub it.Not adhering to the court's decision would unquestionably be an " unprecedented incident ". Why ? Because it's never happened before. The army is sworn to protect the constitution and the institutions of law under the constitution. As are all Thais.
Did you state that same opinion when abhisit removed the Police Chief illegally? Hence the "unprecedented" remark. abhisits does it, nothing happens, a Shinawatra does it, democracy is on a knife edge.
It's so obvious it's almost amusing.
Good to see that Fab4 is still hard at work with his fabrications, still misleading the members with false information..
"The Central Administrative Court ruled yesterday that former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's order in 2009 to dismiss then-national police chief Patcharawat Wongsuwan should be revoked....... The court found that the Police Commission later resolved that Patcharawat did not commit any severe disciplinary wrongdoing in connection with the deadly police crackdown on anti-government protesters on October 7, 2008. The court ordered the former prime minister to have Patcharawat reinstated within 60 days after the final verdict is made.... In October 2009, Abhisit, who was then prime minister, ordered the dismissal of Patcharawat, who was national police chief in October 2008 when police cracked down on protesters gathering near the Parliament. The protesters had rallied against then-prime minister Somchai Wongsawat."
"It's so obvious it's almost amusing."

A TIP-OFF from Australian Federal Police to their Thai counterparts has led to the arrest of two men and the seizure of 150 kilograms of heroin before it could be packed in seafood and shipped to Australia......The seized heroin, which Thai authorities put at 147 kilograms while the AFP in a statement said weighed 168 kilograms, had a potential street value of up to $95 million in Australia. http://www.news.com.au/world/breaking-news/thai-police-seize-heroin-bound-for-aust/story-e6frfkui-1226865907543

In all these news articles there is something missing, including the firefight that lasted 2 hours, and that is a police response.

He even says he admires them and that he likes their actions ...which basically means, he supports and encourages murder.I admire her, she has branded these killers as terrorists.
Unlike Suthep who glorifies his killers as "his popcorn vendors".
Did the shooters at Lak Si kill anyone?
What a shameless attempt to divert the argument.
Argument? This isn't a debate, its people venting their thoughts and feelings on an emotive topic.
The reality is that all this violence is abhorrent no matter which side of the political divide is perpetrating it and it should be stopped. This is the role of the government and its security forces to provide for the safety of all citizens and security for society. As the leader of the government, it is ultimately Yinglucks responsibility to ensure these needs are met. But unlike any statesperson I have ever seen she avoids this role same as every other role the nations leader should fulfil. While children are murdered in the streets, she seeks seclusion and personal safety. While all around is chaos and the people look for strong leadership to give encouragement and direction she hides behind facebook mobile, posting insincere platitudes.
The reality is she and her criminal brother are the root cause of this mayhem, and perpetuate it with inept leadership and a stubborn cling to power. If you cant take the heat get out of the kitchen, Yingluck and her cabinet of corrupt billionaires should resign and allow someone with the ability to manage the situation effectively to take charge and save lives.

Yingluck was in Rayong today, at the funeral of the policeman killed it seems from all evidence by PDRC armed thugs at Phan Fa.
So she is not in a safe house.
Yet another ultra-biased anti-government nonsense propaganda story blown away..................
When will these PDRC supporters stop writing such lies and nonsense in their papers...... ?
All in my opinion of course.
Its about time the darling of Issan learnt a bit of funeral etiquette..........
Lets see if Yingluck will show the same respect at the funerals for the children who have been murdered by her followers. Somehow I doubt it.
"Yingluck posted a message on her Facebook wall that she was sad that children were killed and she would like to extend her condolence to families of the injured and slain victims.
"I strongly condemn the use of violence in recent days that has caused many deaths both at Trat Province and especially at Rachaprasong today, which is particularly saddening and disturbing since the lives of children were lost," Yingluck said." http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/world/2014-02/24/c_126178259.htm

That's what you want from a nations leader, someone that sheds crocodile tears, runs the country from facebook and is inaccessible because she is cowering from the electorate and press in a safe house.
And all due to an old unhinged idiot that you are supporting in his vain quest for power.
Do you honestly think this is a good outcome of the protests?
Is this really what you want, what the Thai people want?
If your answer is yes, I'll put you and suthep in the in the same mental bracket.
Looks like its time for another Fab4 fabrication. I agree this is all due to an unhinged idiot, Thaksin, and his vain quest for power. However, I wouldn't agree that I am a Suthep supporter. I honestly believe that the Yingluck government is the most inept, corrupt and dishonest administration that Thais have ever elected. I believe they have cause massive damage to the Thai economy and have erode the quality of life for the average Thai.
What I want is for a good benevolent Thai government that works for the people and against corruption to gain power. One that can unravel the economic disaster of the rice scam and will run a thorough investigation into everyone over all the incidents since 1997 and punish them.
PS: I have already put you and the other 50 shades of red in the Thaksin's lickspittle bracket

What a brave darling of Issan she is, taking the offensive from a keyboard. Show some leadership and call a press conference and make these claims in person and back them up by answering the hard questions. After all Poo has the ice-cream gang and her caddy backing her up.
"What a brave darling of Issan she is,.taking the offensive from a keyboard"
And Mr Waza what exactly are you then? Aren't you a keyboard warrior'?
Well Mr PREM-R, you ask such a ridiculous off topic question, which is designed to denigrate me and bignote your self as a superior intellect. But since you made it personal I will answer it in the simplest of terms. I am in fact an example of the very reason this forum exists, I am a poster and posters post comments on topic that are posted on forums. I am not a public figure, I am not the Prime minister of a country, I am not the hand puppet of a convicted criminal, I am not the leader of the most corrupt administration that Thailand has ever elected and I am not on charges of malfeasances or being investigated for corrupt practices.

The pasak river here in Wichianburi is now totally dry,no flow at all, this leads into the chao praya i think, i don't know why, last year at this time it was higher and still flowing a bit, plus we have had cool weather this year,i can only thing it is be pumped dry for irrigation, the country up here is very dry, much more so than last year, but we had flooding in september, would the cooler weather have any bearing on this,i would have thought less evaporation, not a drop of rain since october, and last year at least we had a huge storm in january with heavy rain,i dont expect rain until after songkran,it is starting to look a bit like australia here,at present.
I suspect you are right, the water has been diverted for irrigations and I also suspect that the rice scam has a lot to do with it.

Protests, a failed government, a failing economy, social unrest and corruption running rampant and Yingluck has only been in 3 years. The Shinawatra's have turned a tiger economy into a failed state, turn the land of smiles into the land of violence and amazing Thailand into an international joke. This is a legacy that will haunt Thailand for generations to come.

Australia has the Melbourne cup, the US the Kentucky Derby, England the Royal Ascot but Thailand has them beat with the PTP trough. Where you can watch such champions as Kittyrat, Chalerm and Yingluck in full flight from protestors and farmers. They live up to the legacy of Thailand greatest runner Thaksin the criminal.

Yingluck ha a long history of thumbing her nose at the judiciary, from the passport issue to this. The darling of Issan is a meant to be a role model for democracy but seem more like the figurehead for a dictatorship.

When the dogs of war, in the form of snipers, are unleashed on peacefull protesters, someone must pay.

This is one brave cop.......

See the bigger picture.
Police officers were shot in the head by PDRC protestors.
A hand-grenade was thrown at police by PDRC protestors.
PDRC guards have been caught with police uniforms.
Even the witness they put forward to refute the police claim, had one (see attachment)!
And a group with hand-grenades and rifles, attacks a police van and releases a PDRC leader.
So now look at Friday bomb, a hand-grenade, that appears to be thrown by a white capped man in the video.
Now consider Sundays bomb, a hand-grenade, thrown by a man with long long fingers who later likely appears in a mask at Laksi as a PDRC guard.
And now General Prayuth is posponing his trip to the south.
This is clearly the military ham-fisted attempt at a coup. You can the judicial attempt at the coup in NACC, and a brand new one, an EC coup since Pheu Thai won the elections.
They seem to be ramping it up full on now. Even Bangkok Post and The Nation are pumping out the propaganda 100% unfiltered.
It smacks of desperation.
Seem the protestors have guardian angles protecting them
from this..........

Operation "peace for Bangkok" is turning into operation, "violence for Bangkok". But what would you expect from a corrupt government run by a convicted criminal, who instructs a violent drunk to oversee the operation, which is then executed by the keystone cops.

Yingluck says she is ready to quit politics if it’s the need of majority
in Thailand News
Posted · Edited by waza
Strange how she is parroting her brother, the convicted criminal. Yingluck said, "that she has not discussed with her family and elder brother Thaksin Shinawatra on taking a break from politics, but she said she is ready to do so if it is the need of the majority of the people". The darling of Issan clarified this comment when she said the new election must be held as soon as possible so that a new Thaksin proxy government could be formed to run the country, restore corruption of public funds and make favourable judicial decisions.
