  1. Just thought I`d check what the local rates are, I use always use XE website for my exchange rates. It stated as follows:

    1 GBP = 63.5569 THB

    1 EUR = 43.0139 THB

    1 USD = 31.5768 THB

Which has got me a little worried seeing as that will be as low as its been for years!

BUT! checking on Thai Visa's exchange rate

    GBP Pound Sterling 69.056 THB

    EUR Euro 46.9065 THB

USD United States Dollar 34.4887 THB

So which one is correct? hope its the Thai Visa

I agree,Thai Visa is based on rates within Thailand,XE is based on internet rate buying in US or Europe

    Fingers crossed

  2. BE CAREFUL WITH ATM CASH DEPOSITS

I always do your ATM transactions during banking hours, when it is possible to get a bank worker to assist.

This is the best advice ,you can have !

  3. You're back with the family for a few days, sounds perfect. Eat all your favourite Brit foods, visit the mates down the pub, and most important catch up with your parents coz I'm sure they miss you.

    I agree .

    Make a list...NOW

Enjoy all the foods, books, drinks you crave for.

Watch TV/Cinema ,meet and talk......in other words immerse yourself in what you want to do !

On the outward ,flight , spend a little time planning what you want to take back to LOS.

It will help concentrate your mind on waht you really want to do over here !

    Good Luck & Safe journey

  4. would you consider adopting a thai dog?

theres no need to spend unless you want a certain breed. the temples are full of strays and baby puppies as well, i believe, that you could rescue. and as long as they were quite young, there'd be no trauma, and thus be good for kids.

    Dear Buddhafly,

Yes ,that would be fine.A puppy would please both girls.

Are there any particular wats ,we should go to ?

  5. Enough ranting. Has anyone else that installed Vista noticed the same? Personally, I just finished uninstalling it and will be happy to stay on XP for another few years. It seems that Vista is a lot of visual effects, but it's not very effective for a work environment. I mean, who's going to spin their work windows around in 3D?

    :D

    Dear Rainman,

I faced great opposition from my kids ,when I decided not to upgrade from XP.

Based on your experience ,I am so pleased that I decided to delay.

I am tending to buy a few slices of watermelon and eat those late into the evening, anything better?

For different things ,which you will remember

    1) Go on the Skytrain

    2) Go to the Cinema and see a Thai movie

    3) Go to a Food Plaza
