  1. My wife has one it is pretty good, up till now did not freeze or hang up just by itself,

if you are playing with pictures, and you turn it fast back and forth it freezes but i mean like vertical horizental vertical 3 ties. fast.

other than this my one and half yeat daughter had dropped it in a puddle of water, spilled juice on it, and did throw it several times. it is working fine. but my wife lost the pen, but it comes with an extra one so no problem

  3. let me see

i do live in Dubai, it has been dusty with 56kh/h winds as reported in one of th e news papers, and ther eis always dust.

and the rest of the time in Issan.

i feel that the D300 even more expensive, but the extra sealing i will feel comfortable with especially, if there is rain.

i was offered the D300, with a $gB card, a case a Tripod, and an 18-200mm sigma VR lense for 90,000 Baht, how doe sthis price compare to thailand?

  4. Dear All,

after a long 6 months of debating which DSLR to buy between the Canon, Sony alfa and Nikon,

    I narrowed it down to

Sony, Great Value, but they have continuous upgrades, it makes me feel i am buying a windows software, where every few weeks there is an update. so even though i like the price and package it is being sold, i am still worried about the lenses

So it is now to D300, and D90, the price difference is not that much, so i am deciding just to go for the D300.

so any advise on the D300? worth it?

BTW, this will be my first pro or semi pro DSLR,

  5. in favor of thailand, with all what has happened tourists have not been injured or confronted, yes it was annoying for many stranded in the airport, but many that follwed the system and registered got the assistance they need from the Thai Goverment

Compare the situtation of thailand to theo other, India, Bombs train hijacking.

Sri Lanka, denied the MFA of sweden, and will not do a truce

    Malaysia, credit card fraud

Cambodia some are report it is more expensive that thailand when you look at the package as a whole

other ASEAN Countries nto considered as safe.

in my opinion i think thailand is still considered as a much better place to visit,

  6. Don't you just love thai visa and the feedback you get, from seriousness and good will to sarcasm and....... anyway.

the reason for buying a land i think or believe maybe due to my eastern mentality, that instead of spending my money, on things that i will not use or will depreciate or loose value, is save it by buying Land regardless where it is, because if not in my life time for my daughter, may be daughters and sons they will have something to fall back on in the future. so it is more of a long term saving thing rather than an investment. (land has a road leading to it.)

to answer you i am 30 well almost 31, how much do i earn, not much, but prefer to put it in land rather than spend it on hmm.. and new land cruiser. for investment, check above.

will i enjoy working it yes.

  7. Maize i could not agree more, regarding the Baht relation with the USD and that is why i am a bit hesitant.

    1. title will be transfered and owed by the mrs, as i can not buy

    2. it is one land on plot

    3. not sure about the development side

    4. no flooding, far from the dam, but has one or two waterwells

    5. all rice land, some started planting euco

    6. rural area

idea for having it is plant some euco, make chicken house, some fish lakes, and leave a good part of it for rice, and veggies.

5-10 driving minutes far from my home,

and i bet there will be tons of other opinions coming in.

interesting comments and ideas for the land as well as for the economic side

Interesting, yes certainly - but worth it (?) impossible to say - depends on a number of factors:

    1) what titleship comes with the land (e.g. is it CHANOTE)?

    2) is it registered as a single plot of land?

    3) does it have/or could you get planning permission to develope (of course depending on what you wanted to do with it)?

    4) does is flood out/swamp up in the rainy season (important if you have agriculture in mind)?

    5) what is the value of surrounding land?

    6) where is it - i.e. rural in in/near to developed/residential or commercial land?

............. all the above play a role in determining its value.

From a pure investment point of view? - my opinion: no, not at the moment - the Thai Baht as we speak is very strong - too strong in my humble opinion to justify using foreign exchange (i.e. Euro/U$D/Sterling etc etc ... assuming you would be bringing the capital in from overseas to complete the purchase ) for such a large/high value land purchases. It wouldn't suprize me if we saw another devaluation sometime over 2009 or early 2010 - last time that happened we saw the Baht nearly halve in value against Western currencies in less than a year. You'll be sick as hel_l if you purchase now and that happens sometime over the next 24 months.

And what if it doesn't happen? - I forsee a slow weakening over the same period time.

Note - I am expressing a personal opinion. I could be completely wrong, but its something I think you'd be well advised to take some professional advise on.

  8. just for the sake this is a true post and not......

phom = I for the male

    kun = you

mai or mei has many meaning there is actually a sentence that goes mei mei mei mei mei?

now when said correctly it goes loke new wood burns goos ? or something like that depending on the use of tone.

and if you want so say do you understand you would say kao jay mei?krap/ka or just kao jai mei

in the Arabic language the use of tones is in a different way where it expresses the intention, question, remark answer.

so asking a question or answering it will be said exactly the same but in a different manner, when i started to learn thai that was a problem for me where i would drop the mei? in the end and get everything wrong. at the same time when it come to say different words such as mother and dog i will also get the tones mixed up. triggering laughter in the room.

    helpful? not sure

  9. I have at agree with SAP,

this is to make the bigger companies even bigger, and again from previous forums about cassava in three years a person can generate a great big profit. but will also drop the pricing down for the small farmers forcing them i guess in directly to start growing food again.

should an economist be speaking or drawing graphs you will have the supply and demand graphins jumping right and left up and down. :o

I feel it this step is good to get the people to plant rice and food again. and with the price or rice going up, the farmers will get more money than before. and the drop in cassava ricing will not make this choice hard for them to convert back to farming food.

yes, it is more focused on the big boys to become bigger, but if we can rent some in the names of our wives, or who ever you trust in some cases not your wives, (this remark is placed for all the people that know themselves and their comments), we will be able to make profit as well as let the families around us enjoy better incomes, by generating work, when there is no work in the fields.

in my language we have a saying, bet in many languages as well, that says a sword with to sharp sides.
