to me should be NO TRAFFIC access ridiculous to allow vehicles there

Yes, the road should be closed but it is a main road and diversion not so easy, but it is possible with a little forward planning .... mmm.  I use that road often and each year of veg week I avoid that stretch of road. Use the residential parallel road.

We tried register a new guest yesterday. Directed to new site where we had to register again for new password. Once into site we had to transmit our document files. after all that we could not get confirmation our guest actually in the system.

Guess I we have to study help topic mentioned above.

I tried today to check our new guest and today and my guest was entered in the system ok. My error as I did not select which of our 3 properties to make the search. In the old system we has a username and password each property. This new site we can enter all 3 properties. Makes much easier for me. Just need remember to select which property. All in all a big improvement. Just wish they has a print receipt function. I have to use print screen function collect in Paint app. Trim page and save with a new file name. Then send file to my guest.

Chanot is the ONLY type of title deed in Thailand. There's no other document to show ownership. <snip>

Incorrect. There are about 6 levels of land title. Chanot is the top/best title, then nor sor sam gor, then nor sor sam, then lower titles only use for farming or hill land/. Only the top 3 types can have building permission for larger scale building.

Did you have a separate chanot for the house?

Only the land has the Chanot. Assume he has a contract too lease the land. Max 30 years, The building would have a building permit, then license with Tabian Baan from the local Municipality (Tesibaan)

Agree LiK, as the sunken drain covers are a hazard to m/c riders, with some of them being many cms/inches deep. Whoever planned this resurfacing didn't think it through...........but then we all know it is not a strength of so-called planners here.

Today I notice a small crew working on raising covers. But far too few workers for such a big job.

  7. I drove along Nanai Road yesterday and the road resurfacing is a danger as they lay down about 5 cm of tarmac leaving all the drain covers sunken and a danger to all traffic. I predict a number of bike accidents. I hope they quickly build up the many covers.  Here in Kata the recently resurfaced many side road and they rebuilt the kerbs and raised the covers just before resurface  road.  Was a  nuisance driving round raised covers but at least they were visible.

Yes, they are all buying Education Visa, bribing corrupt immigration officers in Thailand. It's high time for the Government to reconsider this kind of visa. Something is fundamentally wrong with Thailand ED visa.

Getting harder to 'buy' an Ed Visa. Limited places at the schools and Immigration only accept a quita.

I can tell from our quests that it's not so easy as a number have run out of Visa time and left Thailand.

Amazing Thailand. In the UK, the additional Bank Holiday for the Coronation caused a serious drop in economic output, contributing to a 0.1% fall in GDP in May. Yet in Thailand, it seems that having millions of people on holiday instead of working actually improves the economy, lol.

But mostly it's government/bank/office types who get paid holidays. Average folks just work as usual if want day's pay.

I had my retirement extension done last week. There is now a computer outside where the person checks your papers. The first thing he did was confirm on his computer that a TM30 was in the system. The person ahead of me was told they couldn't proceed until a TM30 was completed.

The TM30 was checked again when I applied for my multiple re-entry permit. I assume the need for a TM30 would apply to a guardianship extension as well.

Otherwise, at least for an extension based on retirement, it was the same as in previous years.

So none of the previously reported demand for copy land paper and other land owner details ?

Strange as the module i'm watching doesn't have any subtitles to it and the questions are in Thai only.

Do you maybe have a screen shot from the elearning module that i have to use ?

I watched it over a year ago.  I remember it was in English not sure spoken or sub titles. But I do know that every so often the video would stop and ask a few 3 choice questions (i quess to make sure you are still watching) and everything was in English.
