  1. hate to recommend a seemingly touristy place, but if you want to take some visiting friends somewhere not too crazy but good quality in a good location, Zico's Brazilian BBQ in front of Central Festival for about 1000 baht is 2+ hours of all you can eat fresh off the grill sliced frmo skewers to your plate meats - maybe 10 different kinds (they say 15 but I don't think I've seen 15), all you can drink wine (acceptable basic table wine) or all you can drink beer for 2 hours, sit outside and get drunk with good food and try not to cry about the price too much, people watch, also they serve a coffee that I never had before called ahhhhh di Manfredi or something, outstanding double espresso and the end of the meal to get you back on your feet and ready for some bars. Oh and there's a small buffet salad bar inside, not bad, and every half hour or so after 8 a couple of leggy breasty actual Brazilian dancers in Carnivale type get up come out and shake their booty for a few minutes. Tacky but your guests might enjoy it (esp if they're Tha

  2. Ok, Naklua ? Is there down towards Gregs Kitchen part of Pattaya down towards that big roundabout ?

I have heard of it but I spend most of my tiime in South Pattaya so am unsure of Naklua

    Ok,well BELLA VISTA 180 BAHT,what is their location ?

HARD ROCK CAFE- Anyone know if there still going ? Apparently ALL U CAN DRINK included someone mentioned ?

I wonder if theres many places which includes ALL U CAN EAT plus ALL U CAN DRINK ?

The MARRIOT- Drinks included ? Or just the food ?

What about LEWINSKI S in pattayaland no 1, Anyone know if their 250 baht wed and friday is still going?

POISENDON AT JOMTIEM COMPLEX- sounds ok for breakfast ALL U CAN EAT at 165 baht

  3. Well, for a long time we have not had any threads on ALL YOU CAN EAT" .

As we know DINE FOR 99 is gone.

I am after specifically those places where you help yourself, not those places where you have to ask for top ups etc.

I remeber ASIAN MOON at Jomtien ,now closed, you had to ask for fried eggs to be made and the owner would get angry.

I think the Irish place in Jomtien has a buffett every Sunday roast dinner ,but a little expensive but good baked dinner.

Anymore you know about, doesnt matter if there breakfast lunch or dinner as long as they are all u can eat.

i think Apex did have all u can eat breakfasts.

  4. Let me state I am not any other poster.I have been to Simons fish and Chip shop many times,do not confuse this place with Simple Simons.

I wasnt happy on my last visit going with a thai friend they charged him 140 baht for thai food, thats outrageous for just rice and pork.

There sausages and potatoes are 220 baht i recall plus the gravy 50 baht .

so in other words the 2 sausages and ittle bit of mash came to $10 .outrageous i stopped going back.

Now this place has been for sale since june 2009,i think the asking price has gone down from 3.5 million.

  5. Yes i arrive 10pm on a Friday night.

My hotel is just around the corner from Hualomphong railway station.

To get the train,i go underneath the airport to Suvarnmhi railway station and then do i change at Makkassan to get on the line to Huampholong?

  6. I will be arriving in Bangkok Airport and my Hotel is near the Huamapholong Railway Station.

Just wondering if I can get a train from the airport there or would I be better of getting a Cab?

Is it far from the Airport.

    Thanks.

  7. I wonder when the day will come when they will have "talkback" radio in Pattaya, where listeners ring in ,no music station just someone like a DJ who is a redneck, stirs up trouble ,a bit like Mr Stern ,or Zemanek,

I think Pattaya is big enough to have a morning 9am to midday talkback radio show.

Imagine them all ringing to complain about the Zebra crossings or taxi overcharged etc.

  8. Just wondering if someone could help,I am travelling with a Thai person to Thailand from Australia.

Our flight stops off at Singapore on the way,I noticed by the intenary it stops at 0025 and 7 hours later off to BKK.

Does anyone know if we both can leave the airport in between,he is THai,I am Australian.

I cant think much to do for 7 hours there.

  9. Seems the BLARNEY STONE is gone.

This is /was in the Jomtiem Complex near the Thai Blind massage, opposite the Crowded Karoake type bar.

The owner started the BLARNEY STONE I believe in late 2008,use to be a go go called Las Vegas girls I believe.

He was selling it 9 months later for 4.8 million, leasehold. rent 2 shophouses 70 k per month !

    I offered him 500,000 baht,he refused

    Guess no one bought it.

Not every Country is in recession.

Australia s unemployment rate is now down to 4.8%,shops cafes in Australia are packed every Sunday and restaurants are busy every weekend,so no recession in Australia.

    New Zealand the same.

  10. Anyone know if the Irish bar BLARNEY STONE in the Jomtiem Complex has closed?

    Green painted corner place.

I did go to look at it about 1 year ago for sale at 4.8 million baht, rent at 70,000 baht per month.

I guess it closed without a buyer ?

  11. Does anyone know this place ? Soi 4 Central pattaya green neon lights .

WHY ON EARTH DIDNT YOU POST THIS IN THE PATTAYA SECTION?

How does this place want to do repeat business? Dont they care in getting customers back?

If they charged me 1000 b because I bought a girl a drink I wouldnt pay, call the Police if they want.

Do we know if a farang owns this place?

  12. My question relates to getting a work permit to run my own business in Thailand such as a mini mart, takeaway food shop etc.

According to what I have read and I may have interpreted wrong, but you must own/buy a business that is 2 million baht minimum purchase price?

So just say I bought a laundry say 1.8 million baht,i could apply for a work permit as a manager?

And is the minimum income 50,000 b per month I must declare?

  13. For those interested in court cases from expats appealing Social Security/Centrelink decisions you can see many cases here.austlii website

  14. Well was going through looking at a few business for sale websites for Pattaya only to find their outdated.

Had one where I thought I had found a bargain, only to read the lease expired in 2006 and the website never updated.(probaly the business is still for sale, who knows!)

Tried Sunbelt asia, hardly any Pattaya Businesses, not worth looking at anymore.

Any good business for sale sites ?

  15. yes maybe your right..but he did advertise his opening a lot,i think he was on the darkside?

opened to a lot fanfare, was on pattaya tv etc

oh well.......lucky i didnt buy it

These fish and chip shops are springing up everywhere now.
