  1. When you disable the smart drive it will allow the drive to in fact work where it won't at present - that is the reason to bypass the smart drive in BIOS so the drive will work unless it is really dead.

If it is just the set bit on the drive you can make it load in a PC using the bypass smart check in BIOS (F1 at boot where it is hanging) look for smart drive enable/disable for that drive.

It won't run in a usb box ext you need to get it to mount in the PC - mine won't anyway because of the false bit set on the drive and the USB won't see the drive the same way, but it still works in the PC with the bypass set.

If you get it to mount then back it up and change the drive or have seagate replace it if they will, or like me it is internal only and not important data so I just don't care that much I have run it for years like this - I have other drives on the same PC for OS etc.

  2. At boot it posts the smart HHD soon to fail message?

I turned it off in BIOS 4 years ago and drive is fine. If the PC trips on power surge etc you may have to reset the smart check and then it will boot fine again. As I said it was 4 years ago they false labeled the drive bad - must be great for sales.

That is not to say a drive can't be bad but I would back it up often and just run with it. You can find instructions online to set up your BIOS and this issue.

  3. Switching language in the app always gave me a bastardized version anyway. In your OS Region and language setting don't just select English format on one tab but go to the advanced tabs and select. Like location make it US etc. The downloads do all language but see your PC as still in Thai for some reason.

In past as example the google earth downloaded in Thai never really worked proper if switched to English - if you wanted the install to happen in real English in the first place then set the whole PC to English.

  4. A 60 year old drug he bought rights too that has multi. other substitutes. A media scam to bring attention to a name and a cause. Even at 13.5 there are other drugs cheaper then it was. When the news hit Hillery was talking the government need to take over drug companies right on cue. Think about it. The lie is that anyone was ever going to buy one pill at these prices or that they had been buying vary many even at 13.50 which is why he could buy the rights to it in the first place - profitable drug rights don't get sold. Lets all get on the nitwits band wagon and buy this BS story.

Run Bernie Run. Why settle for a totally corrupted half ass lib. when you can elect a real nitwit socialist.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrimethamine i.e. Daraprim

In India, multiple combinations of generic pyrimethanine are available for a price ranging from U.S. $0.05–$0.10 each (3–7 rupees)

  5. Set up a savings account - keep enough in it to pay for a few months worth of bills at a time and refill it when low - use it for nothing else and have bills paid auto - I get a slip in the plastic device by the mail box and week later they draw the money and then I get a receipt in the mail - they all add up and match. Have not seen nor needed to see a PEA person in years. We don't have to deal with it if we leave town for a few months ether.

I used to pay the true Sat via that savings account when I had it also. Don't use your reg ATM account get a savings only no ATM card for this use. You can add some money to it from any CDM.

  6. So what?

The media always does that - leave it out unless she was other then that - I think she is wrong and the county issues the lic she just does the paper work, but I bet 90% assume and you know they do that she was other then a Dem. which is exactly why 1000's of pages of media never mention it. This is a well documents effect in media called bias that is vary real.

In other news two Dem's in Denver on the city counsel refuse to allow a fast food chain to run an operation at the airport because the CEO once said he didn't personally agree with gay marriage, but even if that has nothing to do with the food outlet and how it is run they are barred from doing business and you won't even find much mention of that hypocrisy from those that are belittling this obviously confused Democrat that didn't get the memo about gay rights.

So in fact - if this is a issue of importance to the Dem party and they say it is - then they should own it coming and going both ways.

  7. "I seem to be burning through a lot of GB. I mainly use for surfing the net and sometimes adult sites. I use the mobile network sharing to surf the net on my apple mac. "

It is not easy to sub. a real internet connection with 3G - get a post pay plan that only slows to 385k and starts with 7 - 9 GB Manage your use. run two cards if you like and when one runs out of 3G use it for downloads and surf with the other while it lasts - cheaper then topping if you use enough.

I do updates and major downloads when the 385k unlimited is in effect and use care while the 3G is up. 7GB about two weeks. I can meter out the month at 14-15GB but everything after 7GB is 385K speed. If I had real internet I sure I would use closer to 30GB per month.

The way 3G is sold it is not a wireless solution to anything other then not being at home. At home it is an expensive worthless pile of dung.

  8. Kind of reminds me of a something that happened a few years ago at Christmas time. 4 Marines were outside of a Walmart, using a small bell to collect donations for needy children. Some idiot decides to pull a knife and rob a Walmart cashier. He runs out the door where the Marines were, and then stabs one of the Marines (not seriously). By the time the cops got there, this guy was screaming for the cops to arrest him and get him away from the Marines, who had broken his jaw, both his arms, one of his legs, and something like 6 ribs. The best part of the whole story was when the Chief of Police said - and with a straight face! - the guy suffered injuries when he tripped and fell off the curb.

Thanks for sharing the info about the 4 marines. Two feel goods in one thread!

Quick Google and I found this:

"The subject was also transported to the local hospital with two broken arms, a broken ankle, a broken leg, several missing teeth, possible broken ribs, multiple contusions, assorted lacerations, a broken nose and a broken jaw ..... injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell off the curb after stabbing the Marine," according to a police report.

I love a story (or a news bulletin) with a happy ending!

Lucky for him - it was a low curb. laugh.png

  9. I have seen in Thai Mart a system that comes complete with the panels and the air. Turn key system they install. Takes one room off the grid - use ether a crowbar circuit that switches to the grid at night or add in batteries. At the time it didn't add up - buying the power was cheaper over the next 15 years or more. Maybe if you don't have power at all and go with batteries it would provide what you can't buy (the power).

  10. I have the 112 which is pretty much the same thing without the wifi ant. It works fine - covers whole house and across the yard to other building when set by the window. I am sure with ant it must cover better then mine.

As far as the air card I run a old true 3g aircard with dtac trinet sim and it will run as high as 21mbps if you can find a file source that will provide it - I have seen up to 16mbps from time to time.

My wifi side is a bit slow always 50-60mbps max.

1390 is cheaper then mine was years ago - I think it was 1490 at the time.

Found that InvadeIT has the D-link even cheaper at 1250 Baht, but they also had a 300N 4G router from TP-link TL-MR3420 at 1290 Baht.

Would TP link be a better choice over D-link quality wise?

In the TP link compatibility list theZTE MF90 doesn't show, where it does show in the D-link list, would this be a risk?

I only have experience with the one I have. If you are close enough to a jib, BannaIT or what ever they can sometimes fire one up and test it.

  11. That's impossible for me to understand why this isn't considered a war crime and the responsibles weren't taken to the court...

    .jpg

"impossible for me to understand" We can see that.

Let me help - ending the war the hard way would have caused the US to end up meeting the Russians just north of Tokyo and today we would have a vary different map of the world. More like a North and South Japan.

The option of going the long route was on the table to the last minute - it was the actions of the Russians that pushed the button more then anything else - not even the Japanese refusing to give up.

It was about the cost and consequence of not dropping it that caused the bomb to be used - if it was about killing people they would have dropped it on Tokyo.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm not so much concerned about the wifi because I have Ethernet throughout the house, and I have a few WIFI routers around the place as well that are configured as wireless access points, and that is where my worries are.

I had 2 D-link DIR 619 initially, now only one as I smashed one out of anger, because I need to reboot them every so many days as they lose their wireless connection. I had one wireless camera attached to one of them. After a week or so it is even impossible to remotely log in to reboot, however all the lights are still flashing and the Ethernet part still works, and I have to get the stepladder out to reboot them manually.

I wouldn't want to have a 3G router which I have to reboot every so often.

Never had to reboot this 112 - pretty simple and solid for several years now and I have it on 24/7, never had any problem with connecting to it at all.

  14. Phitsanulok has had the same problems and getting worse. I think the sale of tesco is in short order and they are turning inventory into cash - the final countdown has begun. Death of a retailer.

  15. " treatment" can often imply a cleaner like a flush - just make sure it is coolant. Even tesco has small bottles cheaper then an auto shop would charge - it is a lub so to speak for the system - you don't want to run plain water. If they do have a lub or call it that it would work no better then a proper amount of coolant which includes it. 50-60baht. The ones I have gotten say coolant or flush on them in English even if it was a German product.
