  1. Well that was a deep, thoughtful, incisive and ironic riposte, brimming with humour.

Have you never heard of the concept of rhyming slang? But then it was you who thought we were at war with Northern Ireland.

When you say brimming I guess you mean he's full of it.

    Cheers

  2. Are you serious? These were civilians that were murdered by terrorists. You can try to parse it any way you want...but when innocent people are killed by terrorists, that is murder. No need to respond. I know where your head and heart are. In another two weeks if you are running with the <deleted>, you might be in my sights. Good luck.

Are you really threatening another board member with murder?

  3. There has actually been talk more than once over the years regarding Thailand possibly changing to the same time zone as Malaysia and Singapore (UTC+8) but this idea always seems to die on the vine.

Wrong. Bangkok Jakarta & KL are all the same time zone.

Lee Kwan Yew decided he wanted to be the same as Hong Kong. And as he was the supreme ruler he could. Singapore is the odd man out.

Seems like you and not Yew are the odd man out.

    Cheers

  4. I thought I had the solution for you but when I tested it I saw that it does not work. When you signed up as a member on ThaiVisa you had to give an email address. Then you had the option whether or not to allow people to send you emails to that address, which remains hidden on ThaiVisa, and you selected that option. However, my test showed that only registered members can send emails.

The reason for not allowing email addresses in posts is for the protection of members, ie to prevent addresses from getting onto the list of spammers. I don’t know much about how this works but I understand there are some professionals out there who use special programs to search the web on a continuous basis for email addresses and then sell these addresses to commercial spammers.

So now I am wondering if there is another way for you to make your email address know to guest readers of ThaiVisa. As we are in Forum Support here and as this may be of interest to other members I am asking this here rather than ask an admin privately. In our profile there is a field for “Personal Statement”. Is the text placed here searchable on the web? (I did a test and I think it is not) If it is not searchable, is a member allowed to put his email address in his Personal Statement? Hopefully, an admin knowing the answer will come and post it here.

Surely MiG has inadvertently supplied the answer.

if you have specific question I suggest you contact Admin at

  5. Can anybody recommend a web host.

I don't use massive amounts of storage or bandwidth.

I will want to host 4-6 sites.

I have looked around for a web hosting review site , but they appear to have been written by one of the hosting companies :o

My previous host Canaca do not get my recommendation.

    Cheers
