  1. If it's for a 29" mountain bike i'm pretty sure that the 700's will be no good. You will be best to make sure you have plenty of tubes when you go or better still, convert to tubless.

If it's not for a mountain bike, ignore all above as i have no idea about road bikes.

Why would 700's not be good, isn't that what 29'er tires are?

As far as i am aware, 700's are for road bikes, mountain bike tubes are thicker and wider. I wouldn't consider running a road tube for off road situations for fear of constant punctures. I am happy to be proved wrong though. I only carry tubes for emergencies as i run tubeless anyway.

  3. I'd love to see if i have the same problem so i could offer any help but first could you explain what a stacked vowel is?

I don't use word, i use pages but i don't, knowingly, have problems typing anything in Thai.

    Nidge.

    Hi Nidge

If you are using Pages, your vowels already work fine. Stacked vowels are those that go above or below the consonant, e.g. กึอ.

I was trying to do it in Word but just decided to use Pages as well.

    Hi David,

I guessed that was what you meant but as i never had any problem like that i thought you were talking about something different. I just double checked in Word 2008 and there is no problem there either. Maybe they have changed something in the 2011 version but i would guess more likely you have a setting wrong somewhere?

  4. Why don' t you just not buy one at all and use a cheap Internet shop? That way you don't have to worry about operating systems, warranties or theft. You are only going to be here for the winter after all.

Would you do your banking in a "cheap Internet shop"? What if you wish to communicate outside the hours of the Internet cafe? I'm glad that you thought your comment through before posting. ;)

No i wouldn't. Would you? But then again i would never consider buying a non-apple laptop, which is a lot of money for a winter holiday. I offered a suggestion. A suggestion is like an option. Sorry if you don't like my suggestion. I didn't realise all posts were monitored for approval by you. I'll remember next time.

  5. If you buy the tiny little green turtles, don't expect them to live very long. I bought some and they all died within 2 months, since then i heard that most are sick when sold and die quickly. I also have a larger turtle, (about 8" long), and she has lived in my garden for about 6 months. I rescued her from some dogs that collected her from a temple after someone released her into the water. You should be able to buy a turtle like that from any temple that has a lake or khlong in it's grounds.

  7. I didn't reply to the post when i first saw it because i hadn't been there for a while although i used to be a regular there. I went there on Thursday for the first time in about 18 months. As soon as i walked in they remembered my name and made me feel as welcome as always. I will find out on Monday when i collect my bike if they are still as good at servicing but so far they seem to be as good as they always were. If you had bad service i am sure it was just bad luck and if your wheel was improperly trued i am also sure had you taken it back they would have made it right.

  8. I clip my toenails at the same time as i am weeding in the garden. It helps to have a multi purpose Hoe. Although i guess if you had a couple of Hoe's you could keep one in the garden and one in the bedroom for when you need a trim.

It'd be handy to keep some bush trimmers as well.

    Would that be for Toepiary?

    Very good

It would indeed be for the Toepiary. Best not to let the foliage get out of control, it's good to be able to see what you are doing when in the garden.

True, if you let the foliage get too out of control you could start digging the wrong plot. The owner would most likely get miffed and you'd be in the sh1t!
