    even leaving a laptop or camera visibly in the room is risky, you are asking for trouble. I'd put it in my larger bag with a padlock and the bag combination lock also. I use to have a small device that I made using a mercury switch that can be placed at the back of the laptop, or under the bag or anywhere .... when the object is moved it emits a high pitch siren sound sound.

    another baby dumping ... seems to be a regular occurrence lately. Just goes to show how much they really care about an infants life.

    I didn't mention anything about luggage .... it's the safes that are not safe and anything of value in your room. Don't ever trust the hotel staff.

    nonsense .... please don't try to water down the fact that you can't leave things in safes in hotel rooms in Thailand. They steal it and it's that simple.

    I'm surprised that you can cut into an ATM with an Oxy-Acetylene, and get access to the cash box. I would have expected it to be tamper proof .....

    neither are safe .... I wouldn't trust a Thai. Room maids, reception, clerks, managers, you name it ...they all have been caught before, just google it and you'll see. sad that you can't leave things in your room unattended.

    The story is about an irresponsible ignorant Thai .... nothing to do with the US, UK or anywhere else, please stop trying to defend they're attitude towards animals, you only have to walk the markets to see tiny pups, kittens etc ... barely 2 months old for sale by the dozens, oh' aren't they cute, and then they take them home & lock them in the room 24/7.

    So does that bank normally payout on winning lottery tickets ? I thought it was only at Government lottery offices that you can collect ? I'm confused what your trying to say ..... are you saying they do normally pay lottery but they didn't accept your passport ? or they do pay Thai's only ?

    I think it's quite easy ...... just show your passport and you can collect. A thai has to show his or her ID so what's the fuss.
