>>I hear he ran off with out paying the rent <<
Then he would have lost his deposit .A win win for the Landlord .
Only if the deposit covered the loss!! Which I understand it did not.

Sure this place was once run by an Aus guy "Ken" but think he was only there for the beer lol. Went by there one night and saw him KO out the front. Got to say the place looks good now and with the right people should do well just don't drink all the profit like the last guy Lol.
Yes the drunk Ken, I hear he ran off with out paying the rent and left it in a filthy state that took weeks to clean and repair after he did his moon light flit.
Drove by the place one night and saw him passed out in front of the place. I guess he could of been taking a nap but I think he was pissed.

Anyone know the hours of AC Bar and if it's kid friendly for an early meal?
Couldn't find a Facebook page, is there one?
Sundowner is nice local place for Sunday Roast and Tony said starting today they will have their pizza/burger bar, which is street side, open.
Think you will find it very friendly and great food it's normally open by about 5 but I think they are closed on Tuesdays and kids are welcome.

I drove by the place yesterday and they did not look like they were open yet. Does anyone know when it will open and what the hours will be?
It was open Monday around 5 pm .It looks the very same from outside as it did before .I did not have any good reason to venture inside ;-)
Then you missed a great night Monday with free food.

"Some of the girls?"
So that means it's one of those places with rentals?
Hope it's not too close to a school....
Just waitresses perhaps.
Yes just family and very nice lot too.

The only surprise here is his use of the word "might"!!

Sounds like people loved the place.

Wow! talk about stupid. It would be easier to think of schools that are not near to a place that sells booze. But again that depends on what you would term near. So restaurants, hotels, 7/11's, wholesale outlets, Macro, and a host of other companies including your favourite watering holes are going to be under scrutiny and subject to closure or at the very least will be as some have said open to being pressured to pay to play from the BIB.

What only second place! So it's not the HUB of deadliest roads? Don't tell TAT.
-
Can anyone name any attempt by Thailand to be the hub of anything ever succeed?
They win the HUB of HUB stupidity.

"we don’t have a central standard in terms of structural engineering,” Now why am I not shocked by this? What does amaze me is that they admit it.

I fixed the problem of excessive heat up stairs by putting in two very large roof vents and insulating above the ceiling. Fresh air is drawn in from the underside of the roof overhang. Massive improvement.

Good for you. But what's the queue like when trying to get a visa to visit the west? Because as I understand it you have to renounce you previous citizenship.

Lets hope that this puts an end to this matter, although this Government with its draconian self appointed powers can't be trusted. I would like Prayuth to come out himself and categorically state that the idea has been totally abandoned.
Can't be trusted would agree with that. But can we call it a government? Definition of government: "the group of people with the authority to govern a country or state; a particular ministry in office." So who gave this government authority? Just asking.
OK just found this: "A government can be classified into many types--democracy, republic, monarchy, aristocracy, and dictatorship are just a few." Now which on would you call it?

Oh just seen that there is another in the town this could prove interesting.

Bottoms up already exists in the old town .Will never compete with the original in Kowloon.do a bit of research before choosing a name.
Though it rang a bell "The Man with the Golden Gun", but don't think many of the more sober expats will confuse Hong Kong with Thailand.

Well today I managed to get a sneak look at a new bar restaurant that's opening this Monday eve in Sansai Noi called "Bottoms Up" Not far from Tesco. I got into conversation with the new owner of the place quite by accident as I was walking past and asked if I could take a look. Andrew invited me in and introduced me to his wife and some of the girls who will be working there I was impressed with how clean and professional it looked. It has an air conditioned bar and looks very inviting. I can't wait to try the food and spend an evening there with friends. Also got a peek at the business end of things out back and I could see that the same effort was put into the preparation aria for food, very clean. I asked what they would be serving and was told they would be serving Cambodian, Thai, and European food.
If what I see is anything to go on I am sure this is going to go down well with the local expat and Thai community. Sure I will be there this Monday to try it for myself as I do enjoy my comfort.
Good luck to Andrew and his charming wife and family.

Extreme incompetence, to force tourists to double up and hence use the zipline for too many at once without any consideration of the consequences.
And for what reason other than to speed things up for their convenience.
Insufficiently trained, lacking in common sense.
The mangers also need to be punished for employing these guys.
Has the zipline been closed down, for good?
I always thought ziplines had some speed limiting device on them.
The speed limiter is a huge tree at the end of the line.
-
Sure a back hander would work wonders as it works for almost everything else!!
-
i think this is the 3rd. incident at CM ziplines this year, 2 dead.2 injured?
Be fair how else can they know when the zip line needs replacing until some tourist breaks it and falls to there death.

I can hear the water running from here. So we should have a result very soon.

I once said that Thailand had become like Burma was a few years ago but it changing and now starting to look like N Korea.
