'out of his depth' By the time he'd finished it was way over his head.

That's why the police think he's a foreigner - the body is too big for a Thai.

I bet the envelopes were from Manila not Pattaya.

I think that one could be getting too deep, covert, subterranean, for me.
You mean like Sitnalta?
I've never been to Talistan. Do I still need a visa for those Eastern European countries?

I go four times a week to use the gym facilities. They've stopped turning the A/C on so my hour turns into a Turkish bath. Anyone recommend an alternative table tennis venue locally?
I thought there were a lot of places doing ping pong around Pattaya?

Yup, we had all our documents prepared, and mom and dad were brought as witnesses. We were told by our amphur there was no booking, just show up and wait. So we had to wait all day. An official examined and approved the documents, but we still had to wait for the “big boss’” signature. Turns out we were waiting for the other two couples as he wanted to do everyone at once.
Yes, as we know it's bound to differ from amphur to amphur. Even staff at the same amphur can give you different answers to the same question.
We were told no relatives were allowed to be witnesses. So one of them was my wife's aunt with a different surname - just to beat their system.

"It takes two to tango," she said after the meeting. "ASEAN's good intentions and readiness will be meaningless if Myanmar does not open its door."
'ASEAN's good intentions and readiness' Oh, it has both those points to find a breakthrough? Asean is all talk and no action, an absolute toothless tiger.
It has an official policy of 'non-interference' in other member states 'internal affairs', so how can it do anything at all?

It's probably because our search engines are in our pants!
Is it a canine search engine? I wear trousers, but the dog just pants.

1 hour ago, webfact said:Phuket residents up in arms over stolen underwear
An erroneous headline surely. Shouldn't it be something like 'put their feet down' if it's stolen knickers?
It would only be 'up in arms' if they were brassieres. Unless of course there was some sexual artistry involved.

Me, the wife, and the in-laws waited all day at the amphur for the “big boss” to show up. When he did he went straight up to his throne room or whatever. We barely caught a glimpse of him. Two other couples came in, and he wanted to get us all over with at once. About 15 minutes for him to sign everybody, then he hurried back to his castle. Then we went home, where the “ceremony” consisted of some smartphone snaps, a couple of cases of beer, a few bottles of Thai whiskey and Coke, lao khao for the bros in law, Spys for the ladies, and a few kilos of BBQ pork. Your 3k baht would be much better spent on such an arrangement.
A lot different to our experience. we got married at the amphur.
Organised in advance all the documents required and booked an appointment with the official (not a big boss) to show up with the witnesses. Took less than an hour to complete everything.
No money involved, apart from the fee.

Her enjoyment of the act must have been proportional to the amount paid each time.

So......if you have kids.........your not going to have a holiday as unvaccinated kids cannot get a vaccine passport. And if anyone says they do not need it....................
Utter madness..............children are little ovens for virus and spread virus more than adults do.
So................no families with kids welcome in Thailand ? Or maybe put the kids into 14 days quarantine and then pick them up when leaving again ??????????
Perhaps an enormous playpen at the airport to detain hundreds of kids. Collect them when returning home.
