This country was built on low stooping and is a time honoured Thai tradition good to see Thailand returning to it's roots!

It's called saving face.
I thought perhaps Saving Private Ryan? Or should that be Saving Seaman Ryan (that's not an order - there was no comma).

But what to do with the tubes? Well I've got it sorted: Used drinking straws and cable ties.
The plan eventually is to put different colour straws into different tubes.
Some of the tubes have lost their caps. This may or may not matter. But, I prefer it if the tube has a cap.
Another important use is to store pens and pencils. But to do this effectively the top 75-78 mm of the tube has to be cut off.
At the farm Mildred, and her team, use the tubes to store stuff. Pics next Owl Log on this.
This is like Blue Peter all over again! What do you do with Val's old knickers?
I do worry about the amount of Pringles you seem to buy. Is that a week or a month's worth, Owl?

Thai airways stewardesses could probably help you out... but hurry they may not be flying much longer.
I thought they'd diversified into street food now? I suppose even doing that, they may not be frying much longer.

Does that mean they'll be heading straight to the GoGo bars in Cowboy then Pattaya?
He was definitely not referring to an image of the country from yesteryear but a brave new way forward to attract "quality tourists".
Your phrase 'brave new' makes me think of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. A frightening idea.
Will the Alpha and Beta quality tourists be herded around to see the Epsilons doing their menial work?

I'm trying to work out how our glorious leader is keeping his mask on?
Looking at the photo, the elastic cord doesn't go around his right ear. Has he perhaps used super-glue or photo-shop?

Sorry everyone. Chlorophyll; green stuff in a bottle. Or just eat leaves.
That's back to the Panda joke having a quick J Arthur, then running off: Panda eats shoots and leaves.

She had to resign over that egg fiasco. But 10 years later she was proved to be right.
I thought John Major was a bit mean to her. Didn't mention her in his book.
Getting on a bit now, but I wonder if she is as hairy as Ali G said she was.
Didn't John Major also have an affair with Edwina Currie later on in life when he was married? Perhaps that's why he didn't mention her?
Can you enlighten us regarding the Ail G reference - or a link?

I was looking forward to hearing Edwina Curry on the Richie Allen show this morning (aired last evening in Salford, Manchester). Only lasted about 10 minutes. She terminated the interview, citing off-script questions. As Mr Allen put it afterwards; this is the BBG* not the BBC. When Edwina was in her political prime I quite fancied her.
I remember Edwina Currie and the egg scandal.
When she was at Oxford University, she had a fling with John Major. Edwina Currie described John Major as a perfect gentleman, as when they shared a bath together, he sat with his back against the taps.- 1

Pattaya: "Beautiful and impressive" Walking Street promised as cable burying commences Monday
in Pattaya News

Surely that must be double D-Day. We're undoubtedly in double figures regarding the number of times we've been told about burying cables. I wouldn't be surprised if it's also double figures regarding the number of years since they started spouting this stuff.
Being cynical, surely everyone on the council must have a BMW by now, judging by the amount spent on the project every year.
