A rubber tree? That knowledge poster said a Yang. Never mind. It's well documented on YT. Estimated at over 65 metres tall.
Was gonna spill the beans anyway next Owl Log; but here goes. Yes! But!
Can you post a link to YT above? I did have a look, without any luck.

It's nearly the right colour.

Yes, but...on his way to pay you the money he owes he was dragged into a pub by a school friend he hasn't seen for years and was persuaded to put the entire amount on a horse that was a certain winner. It ended up being a certain candidate for the knacker's yard.
His long-lost school friend was never seen again. Same for your dosh.
Am I close?
P.S. Regarding the tree: Yang is Thai for rubber.

Seeing as I'm sure who will be blamed as the cause of all this, I'm surprised 'The Legend of King Naresuan' hasn't been on TV yet.

I would, but all the illegal gambling dens have been closed down - allegedly.

I think you'll find that's sarcasm.

The tall tree above, in Udon city:
I asked my wife if she knew where it was. She recognised it and also told me about the tree.
Apparently it's a rubber tree, but not the type you see on rubber farms. She said the sap is a lot harder/thicker than the usual rubber tree sap.
It's also protected, making it illegal to cut it down due to the type of rubber tree it is.
Are there any rubber tree experts out there to enlighten us further?
Btw Owl, aren't we still waiting to hear you spill the beans as you promised, about payment for the tractor?

Staff are prohibited from being in close quarters from customers... But there appears to be nothing that prevents multitudes of customers from being in close quarters with each other??? Huh???
Because it's professional nonsense.

Tv Series - Heksejakt AKA Witch Hunt
Enjoyed episode 1.
All 8 episodes with subs available on TPB.
Summary: Law firm worker Ida Waage has to sign a bill for 450 000 Euros, but hesitates. She doesn't know the firm.
Can she trust the people she works for? Is it a scam?
Should she blow the whistle? Thanks for the recommendation Will27.
I've watched a few of these Scandinavian crime dramas/police investigations. They do tend to be well produced with a good story.
I've just d/l this one. I look forward to watching it.

Oh don't! That reminds me of a conversation years ago when riding my motorcycle through Bangkok:
P: You drive over bridge. Motorcyc cannot.
Me: I didn't. I drove on the road at ground level.

Me: I'll give you 100 Baht instead.
P: OK.

Does anybody know the app to access the cameras
and the user name and password?
You see if the police can do this so can anybody else.
I also heard that the system would include facial recognition.
Even though it's not confirmed as going ahead yet, we all know the password will be 123456

I don’t know if that as we get older the passing of friends becomes more painful, or is it that it questions our own mortality ??
I learned recently of a friend’s passing as he was working in Germany and the struggle involved of trying to repatriate his body ( still ongoing ) with his family here in Thailand. Family and friends will travel from the uk to Thailand for the service, of course 14 days quarantine will delay closure for his friends, his wife and teenage son in particular. A year younger than me and with no obvious health issues , makes me think about my own health and taking advantage of the time we have left here !!
Anyway, I felt particularly sad at Michels passing even though i had never met him I felt a certain affinity with him through his photos and recollections of his daily life. At 74 years old ( IIRC ) and thousands of km on an old pushbike under his belt made him appear invincible !
I think TBL’s downfall was his reactions against Michel’s The Lonely Bicycle ( great name Ody ! ) photos, the football rant was just the final straw.A happy and prosperous ( I’d settle for safe ) new year to one and all .
Andy
(I've posted these details before, but I think it's worth repeating)
Michel belonged to a Thai cycling group. They went to pay homage to the late Rama IX.
They cycled from Sakon Nakhon to Bangkok and back, staying in temple grounds and anywhere else free, as they were all on a budget.Michel told me that less than ten years before that, he went on a trip around Thailand with the same group. They cycled 2,300km in 19 days (~120km/day)
I made a note of the figures he told me, as it was so impressive.
For me at 62, on a recent trip around Issan with my Swiss round the world cyclist friend, we managed 800km in eight days - 100km/day. That took its toll on me.Btw Michel was 71.

Do we know how long this will be for (initially)?
I notice it says 'primary and secondary schools'. I assume that state run vocational colleges will not be closed then?

It's obviously easier if you know what it is and the Thai spelling.
Now I've seen a photo of one, I can admit to seeing them around.
I see the article says, "The top-ups were then transferred by the couple to their bank account and turned into real money."
I know I can use my online bank account to top-up a pay-as-you-go mobile number.
So how does cash from a machine for topping up mobile phones get transferred to a bank account? Or have I lived a sheltered life?
