Have they got a load of red paint to use up or something ..
Personally I'd have gone for lilac for the least dodgy zones through to eggplant or aubergine purple for the iffy ones ..
Good news! Apparently you can now sit and eat your veggies in the restaurant.

They need to make the power poles weak in order to minimise the damage to the car every time cars hit them. If they're rigid then the car will absorb all the damage and the occupants would probably die instantly. Instant deaths are bad because they get counted in the country's road deaths.
I assume the poles will always be far enough apart not to hit each other, as I always thought that like poles repel.

Even if it was an electric bike, I hope the police aren't going to charge him.

It seems everybody wants to say something , but all air... Of course everybody will be vaccinated and that can not in 1day, but make this kind of talk news items....
'It seems everybody wants to say something , but all air.'
I think they should vaccinate people shorter than 1m40.
I think they should vaccinate people who wear glasses.
I think they should vaccinate people who were born on a Tuesday.
I think they should vaccinate people working in IT.
That's a few more ideas for any minister or wanna-be-important group members.

This is so Thai culture...praise something that has little bearing in getting shots in arms...all about image w/o taking care of the problem...
figure out how you are going to produce/administer the shots...the people will come and worry about the paperwork after being vaccinated...
No sense of urgency...
I'd normally agree.
However, saying 'people will come' does not necessarily appear to be true in the case regarding vaccination.
I don't know if it's Sinovac they're going to be using here?
I've heard from Thais who want to avoid the Sinovac as they say they don't trust it or believe it's much good, but hoping there will be another vaccine to choose from soon.

Am I correct in thinking that when I first read about this last week, it was stated that locals were told if they didn't agree to sign up, then they would have to sign a disclaimer instead, stating that if they refuse the vaccine the government offer, if they contract covid they would be liable to pay the entire hospital bill themselves?
Or have I been on an alcoholic bender?

They probably posted it on Facebook that they'd just sneaked in.
That's how the police know, and why the police are always checking FB on their phones. Seems obvious to me.

So did uncle Tu have to pay 6,000 baht for being a persistent offender?
I saw him outside Thonglor police station this morning.
My Thai is not great but he was ranting about wanting his 5,000 refund or something....
He probably squirted antiseptic hand spray at the police. He thought they were all acting like women.

Pol Maj-Gen Achayon Kraithong told Naew Na that strict measures were in place to stop people sneaking across the border.
'strict measures were in place' ????????????
Makes you wonder what it was like before these alleged 'strict measures'
"CCSA spokesman Dr Thavee Visanuyothin revealed that 15,378 people have sneaked across the border into Thailand since the start of the year."

He obviously can't see the irony comparing it to Thailand.
Here as foreigners we need health insurance to access most healthcare. Plus an unclear government policy on vaccination (still defined as healthcare) for foreigners.
Although looking on the bright side, they can't get insurance for 100 Baht in case of an adverse reaction to the vaccine. (Not that I know what the small print might define as an adverse reaction.)

(from the link above)
"University of Sydney epidemiologist Dr Fiona Stanaway said, given no COVID-19 vaccine was 100 per cent effective, it was to be expected that some people who had been vaccinated would test positive although they would most likely be asymptomatic.
“If you’re asymptomatic, you’re less likely to transmit,” she said, adding the figures regardless show that hotel quarantine systems were still needed."This seems to follow on from recent discussion on TVF about vaccinated people passing the virus, but without it affecting them.
Does this mean those vaccinated (whether abroad or in Thailand) should still be wearing masks and observing all the covid precautions?
I can see this being as difficult to implement as pushing string uphill.

A meeting of the Department of Disease Control yesterday headed by health minister and DPM Anutin Charnvirakul decided to lower the fine for non-mask wearers in Thailand.
I see they are just copying what our illustrious leader did a couple of years back.
He banned people from travelling in the back of pickups. There was a public outcry, so he rescinded the order.
Surely it's the same here.
Btw, I thought our illustrious leader had put himself in charge of 'everything covid'?
What are his sheep doing trying to make decisions - attempting to usurp his power?

I'm more concerned how 33 people can not only cross an (admittedly) porous border but also get 50-100km into Thailand.
We are constantly being told the army has increased surveillance and sealed/is patrolling the border, to prevent covid getting into Thailand.
And no mention of the Thai smugglers being caught?
Aren't they supposed to slip away in the confusion?

Our illustrious leader must be fuming! I bet he didn't get 'a warning' before his 6,000 Baht fine.
I like the crash helmet above!
Many years ago I knew of a guy who glued a piece of brown shagpile carpet to his helmet. He was constantly being stopped by the police.

You're asking awkward questions.
Now who was it in history said that if you repeat a big lie enough times, the population will eventually believe it.
