Last time I watched Coronation Strasse ( my father called it that????), Ena Sharpies wuz in it.
Is she still alive? ????
Anyway, back on topic...????
Having my morning cuppa PG.
Temperature is 25°C, feels cool outside, a bit of fon rin last evening, but nowt like the storms of the last few days.
Not much to say really; life goes on. Contented, happy.
Pint of Guinness wouldn't go amiss, though.
Yup, Ena Sharples was in the Rovers only last week,
It's 26°C here - that's from weather.com, I've not even looked outside yet, curtains still drawn (had a pencil handy).
P,S, Waiting for a visit from the fake news gestapo.

Ken Barlow is 88 and celebrated 60 years as the world’s most boring actor last year. He left Corrie in March this year as he fell ill with Covid but should be back in the Street anytime soon !!My god ….. is this what my life has become ??..… googling Ken bloody Barlow to post on a thread about farming in Thailand !! ………………………. someone put me out of my misery ????
Well if Owl wasn't so irresponsible to get a holiday we wouldn't be discussing this now. Pretty good side-track of mine though....

About 6 years back I was visiting Songkhla for work and I stayed at the big rundown hotel next to the mermaid statue on the beach. I checked the tv channels and coronation street was on (I think it was on an Ozzie channel). I hadn't seen coronation street in decades - had to tear myself away from it to get down to the Irish bar. Is Ken Barlow still in it?
He's still in it. Longest running actor in any soap in the world I think.

It's a documentary.
I was really hoping it was a comedy with a title like that. Oh well, never mind:

What was her crime?
"fans were outraged when Deidre was wrongly jailed for mortgage fraud and theft"
Even Prime Minister Tony Blair decided to weigh in and ordered the Home Secretary to look into the case.
"It is clear to anyone with eyes in their head she is innocent and she should be freed," he said.
This was all despite the situation being completely fictional.

Free The Ban Dung One.
It should be “Free the Ban Dagen One.
And some fell on stony ground. You'll have to explain that one I'm afraid.
I based Free The Ban Dung One on Coronation Street years ago. There was a campaign to 'Free The Weatherfield One' when when Deirdre Barlow was imprisoned.

Will this one do?
????
"Play the man Master Owl for today we post such a post that has never before been published in Thailand."
St Owl of Under-Carpet - save the Downtrodden One.
If it gets really out of hand, later on we could start a campaign: Free The Ban Dung One.

that will be a first.
If it allowed much, much less movement than at present, maybe it would prevent them sitting on their backsides so often.

The documentary/movie "Super size Me" has interesting content. ????
Yeah, I watched that last year. It was made in 2004. There's also a follow-up to it:
Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken! (2017)
Both available in the 'usual places'.

So why not just mail it in ? Thats always an option, unless of course the Post Office is the same 3hrs trip.
Some offices allegedly don't accepted 90 day by post.
(Well, they'll sign for the EMS document but do nothing with it)

Staffers Kanokporn, 24, and Jariya, 25, thought the man was genuine and was not a career criminal but an opportunist. He appeared agitated and nervous.
He appears to have got a good haul. Probably nervous where he was going to spend his ill-gotten gains.

I suspect that this is the same 14.57% demographic who do not rub tree bark for the upcoming lottery numbers, don't worship disfigured newborn animals as something "holy", do not subscribe to the idea that wearing certain amulets makes you invincible, don't crouch under an elephant's belly if they want to conceive a child, don't see some bizarre ghosts lurking behind every banana tree, reject the notion that drinking 85% proof moonshine with pickled centipedes or cobras does anything to increase sexual libido, and are not entirely convinced that their nation is the center of the known universe and pinnacle of human civilization.
In other words: there is still hope for this country.
Remember: 88.2% of statistics are made up on the spot.

had to input phone number so OTP code could be received.
I don't get past the first page either.
Looking at my screen-grab, I'm asked:
Name without title, Surname, Id number, Number on back of card, date of birth.
Then press "Continue"

That's funny, I thought about throwing a reference in to those two in for good measure.
The link between the two soaps? Bishop - we've had Harold Bishop and Emily Bishop.
