  1. Does that answer your question?

No, I was asking how many accidents this big Transport Co has had.

How do You know these big buscompanies (transport, phetprasert, nachonair, sombat etc) doesn't kick bad drivers out?

How many drivers You know from these companies had fled the scene after accident?

Do You know their maintenance routine and how it is superviced, I don't.

But I have seen time to time in Nakhon Sawan busstation where I go every week, that there is policetable where every driver has to go for breath analyzer, show driving license and then of You go. Every driver, even from Nakhon Sawan - Lat Yao ~50km route.

Yes, even 1 accident is too much but these happen everywhere. And in my opinion, these doesn't happen so dramatical often in Thailand

  2. Not under the current Consul, BTW the validity is just 3month, so a triple entry would not make much sense.

    ???

Triples "enter before" date is always 6 months from the date of issue.

No it is not. This is from Embassy in Finland

    http://www2.thaiembassy.fi/index.php/en/visaservices/tourist-visas

Validity of visa and Period of stay

Validity: One/Single entry tourist visa is valid for 3 months.

Two/Three entries tourist visa is valid for 3 months.

  3. I wonder anyone know how many accident this company has had, let say last 5 years?

Every day they have ~400 bus leaving from BKK and same 400 coming back. That is 24 000 bus in one month only this company and how many accidents they have?

I say safe enough for me to take bus from this company next time I need to go somewhere.

Many people say it is not safe to take bus in Thailand, do you have any statistic how many accidents there has been? Like to see those. Accidents happen but how many really in one year and is that number so big when you compare routes and buses everyday?

I mean is Thailand so much different from other countries if you check like that?

  4. The company saying faulty tire is easy to do, because they don't push their drivers beyond a ten hour day, then stop to rest oh no they push them

to drive, drive, drive, until either this happens, or worse.

Everytime I have took transport co bus on long ride, they have 2 drivers. And this news said there were 3 company employees so I assume 2 drivers and 1 who take care passangers

  5. GMM bought the rights for the euro2012 and shares with channel 3,5 and 7 under the condion that sat signal will be encrypted. They paid 400million bt,so why they should they share with everybody?Whats the point of spending a lot of money for the broadcast rights if everybody can broadcast or watch for free?

Channel 3,5 & 7 do not have "sat signals" to encrypt. They are free over the air channels. Grammy is denying True access to these free channels unless they pay for them.

See the problem? Pay for somehting free?

    TH

Is Grammy denying those free channels from every other dish and box, like PSI, IPM etc? Something you have bought, paid one time and which don't have monthly bill. So to whom NBTC slaps fine on that denying?

  6. Football news. Nakhon Sawan team Paknampho NSRU (division2) won yesterday Army United (thai league) on Toyota League Cup after extratime, 3-1. They are now in final 32, next round draw and schedule dates not known yet.

Kamphaengphet FC (division2) was also close to make it, they lost league team Chiang Rai after penalties.

Btw, there is small swimmingpool on new hotel Aramis(?), small and right next to the parkinglot, so not so good but have some slide for kids.

  7. For me it works great, no problem.

I've collected a few quotes from this thread on this question. Somehow I trust the first guy's experience more. The other solutions mean a bit of tweaking, even the guy who put a splitter could have had his dish repositioned first, which makes total sense.

In football forum is topic on this, maybe you want read that too.

I have true box, I bought GMM box from our village cableguy. I want splitter and he said "can do" but first we tried it alone and it worked ok. Then he put splitter and again, no problem, both true and gmm worked. After installation he called gmm and activate those locked channels. They were unlocked after I took power off from gmm box maybe 5minutes. Power on and OTA upgrade came to screen. After that was finished, nothing more to do. And never had to do anything to truevisions dish on the roof.

  8. GMM confirmed they have the Npower champ and Bundesliga. It'll work on KU band, which is the same as TRUEvisions.

That's sold it to me, Cheers thumbsup.gif

Getting ready for the matches, I had some guy around today to supply and fix up this GMM reciever.

Connected into it from the True dish cable....dual splitter...cables out to the GMM box and True box. True box already connected to the TV,so RCA connections to the TV for the new box

The guy telephones the GMM people and set up the system with the latest software.

    Picture OK.

Cost me 2000baht,saved me running arround to get everything....

My expectations are that it will cost me 666 baht per match for the 3 England matches..../maybe 500 baht a game if we qualify for the quarter finals.

I'm not a great fan of TV in general, but it does seem that there are a lot of programs on the GMM network, maybe for many Thai's a choice from True, and cheaper.

Can you see now ASN or Eurosport channel? Or do you have to pay something to see those?

  9. Now I have to laugh out loud, how this topic got pinned???? :) :) Have to be by mistake because sure not because topics posts.

But football, Paknampho NSRU was in League Cup draw and got to play against Thai League team Army United at home. Match is scheduled on 9th June, ko time and stadium not sure yet.

  10. A word of caution on back to back tourist visas. I was in Savannakhet a couple of weeks ago and a farang was refused a visa due to having numerous visas already.

It depends on how many are in your passport. I have seen this happen a couple of times. It can be a real problem traveling so far and not succeeding.

    ermm.gif

Like to know more about this: "I have seen this happen a couple of times." Where you have seen this, in Savannakhet? Or someone told you so?

    In my passport :

Jun 2008, triple TR Helsinki + 1 extension

Jan 2009, double TR Vientiane + 1 extension

    Jun 2009, double TR Vientiane

Sep 2009, double TR Vientiane, "got Red Stamp"

Jan 2010, single TR Phnom Penh + 1 extension

Apr 2010, two time land border run, 15 days + 15 days

    May 2010 ->Europe

June 2010, multientry Non-im "O", Hull by post

Aug 2011, single TR Phnom Penh, "Used Agent" + 1 extension

Nov 2011, double TR Savannakhet +2 extension

Today 24/5/2012 , double TR Savannakhet

No problem at all in Savannakhet. Wednesday morning there were maybe 20 people on line and just 3 or 4 farang.
