  1. More details on truemove iPhone offer

    http://iphone.mythailandblog.com/2012/02/true-offer-up-to-50-discount-on-iphones-in-thailand/

True Move have just made a bold, if not shocking announcement that they are cutting the prices of their iPhones starting from an amazing 50%. There are of course strings attached, but if you are in for the long term and don't mind paying up front for your data package, then this special offer could be very attractive.

The new prices are as follows:

    iPhone 4 (8GB) 9,250 Baht

    iPhone 4S (16GB) 13,500 Baht

    iPhone 4S (32 GB) 17,200 Baht

    iPhone 4S (64GB) 21,200 Baht

Here are the strings which come attached:

    1. The offer is from 21 February until 12 April 2012
    2. You must apply for the XL data package for 18 months
    3. You must pay for 7 months upfront
    4. You must be a customer of True Online or True Visions for more than 12 months

The XL Package is 899 Baht per month which gives you 500 minutes of talk time, 300 free text messages, 50 MMS messages and unlimited 3G+ and WiFi.

  2. 'When I asked Panit Nilkansone, who works as a bellboy at a hotel in Nakhon Sawan, about plans to prevent a recurrence of floods that nearly submerged his parents' two-storey home, he said he did not know any details but had complete trust in the governor'.

Sums up the mentality and unreasoned blind loyality of many Thais.Reflects in the standard of political  leadership.

I think he talks about Nakhon Sawan governor and he is a good man. He was there all the time organizing everything by himself months before flood hits. Sadly in final there was no way to prevent water coming to downtown. But yes, I'm sure everybody in Nakhon Sawan trust him completly and he will tell every details later.

  3. Quick question - Does anybody drink ANYWHERE else than Big C.............. Cheap and air conned might be good but the general ambience of drinking in the middle of a food court doesn't really appeal to me.....................

Watchara Hotel, ~400m up north highway1 from Big C. left hand side after Islamic and Kasikorn banks, opposite 7/11. Thai food ok, more beer than Big C, Asahi, Tiger etc. And You can drink all afternoon if You want, no stupid break between 2-5 PM

  5. Had the same problem when visiting Bangkok

    Posted 2011-09-20 12:00:11

I was in Bangkok couple a days ago and ais gprs/edge didn't worked at all. Or yes it worked but I was many times connected to GSM 1800, not TH GSM and my aircard shows roaming. And when this happened, data would not move. Manual network selection solved the problem.

  6. Nope, not true, all providers now doing 24/7 on packages, prices depend on download data, from 150 Baht/month for 150 Mb (good for mobile use) up to 4 Gb/month for 799 Baht (on AIS/One2call, Edge or 3G where available).

Nope, not true :) Or can You show me how I can get 4gb for 799b? But why I would even want that because unlimited costs same 799b? And one more thing, it's edge, 3g or GPRS where available, on AIS.

  7. The coffee shop guy (Nalong) told me he brought you to my house and were waiting for me.

    Whaaaat???? :cheesy:

He speaks so much bs if he's not trying to borrow some money :D

Just had 2 can of chang in his table and showed some flood pictures to motosai guys, same time I saw Your post here. I had my netbook for some downloading, only gprs in my home.

But rainy season was this year easy here, almost nothing. And somehow I have feeling that rain came from east, Nakhon Sawan, not from Burma side. Never seen that before. Maybe it dropped then there before it got in here.

  8. I was in immigration yesterday and yes they are now back in old place, monday they were in labour office. I asked if they close for rest of the month and lady says "don't know but most likely" So if You are going, call first.

I come from bus from Lat Yao, no water on road, no problem. But bus did stop after Caltex petrol station ja then You have to take song thau or motobike, I take moto to big c, 40b. I saw water on busstation so maybe buses start somewhere else? I took again motobike when I went back home. Same place, opposite caltex.

And nong38, about atm and withdraw, I use my kasikorn or siam cards. If You have to use Your foreign card, here is tip. AEON atm don't charge that 150b. They have 2 atm in their office/branch in big c, second floor. And one more in second floor, near Watson. You can withdraw at least 40 000b one time, I'm not sure if more, maybe 50 000b? Last time when I had to make withdraw form my bank, I took 40 000b with no problem.

  9. Hey, You do good job! Sorry If you get I'm rud or something like that, english is not my first or even second language. That's why I try keep it simple. I am in Nakhon Sawan once in 1-2 weeks, just ATM, shopping, pharmacy etc, so I really don't know the roads by name. I like to ask You one more thing, if You still want to answer. You say:"You can certainly go down Sawanvittee towards the Immigration." I thought they are somewhere near labour office now, relocated? Can I go there from Big C?
