The point is, a number of people have mentioned receiving a red stamp, there is a long discussion about that. But, very few were denied a visa as in this OP'S case. But, I don't recall anyone being denied a visa at another location, so that they couldn't continue to stay or visit. If one choses not to apply somewhere else, that's their choice.
I think it shoud be easy to understand that tourist-visas are for tourists only.
Everybody likes to stay longer can/shoud apply for a adequate visa.!? And there are a lot of possibilitys as mentioned in other parts of the forum.
Happy New Year
Ok, what visa should apply? Under 50y, not married thai or no have friends to visit, not want to go school, not want to start business, not want to invest money. Just want to be tourist all year long because can affort that kind of living.

As for Farang food I used to go to the TT English bar that used to sell geat grub but ,alas, when I passed by last week it had turned into an internet cafe -
Staying in Thailand for more then a year, without work / income??
Suggest you get a proper visum...
No work, income have. So tell me what proper visum I could get, say about... from Vientieane? Wait, not tell because there is no visa for me, only TR. Not married, not working, no business, not student, no volunteer, under 50year. Next TR I go get from KL.

Yes you can buy this aircard in Big C shop but I'm not sure it will work with any other sim card than ais? I'm happy with my dongle, works great and I can even make calls, it has earplug/mic.
-
Doesn't anyone in Thailand do the mobile dongles which you plug into the laptop??
Something like this or what?

I got mine from Pantip Plaza, name G1 edge modem, 2700b. Can use ais or dtac sim card.

There is a rumour that Nakhon Sawan immigration will be next to tourist police office, where ever that is? Anyone else heard anything?
-
It may be easier for you if there is access across the border for example at Kanchanaburi or somewhere to the southwest of Nakhon Sawan.
Yes, IF there is. Is there? I go everytime Mae Sot and everybody I asked do same.
-
If you want to do borderrun then Mae Sot / Myawaddy Burma border. Exit Thailand, walk over bridge, go inside office in Burma (right hand side), pay 500b, you get Burma entry and exit stamps, come back Thailand.

In the "Red Warning stamp" thread the OP informed us he has 9 entries using his current passport, and adds the number would be more if previous passport entries were included. That kind of suggests to me that the immigration system is hooked to looking at single passport number only. So, obtaining a new passport may circumvent the system ... for now.
Actually, he has 5 tourist visas in his old one and four in the new passport (either single or double entries). So they calculated both. They do have computers and central database in Thailand and check the person whether he/she is blacklisted and what kind of visas have been issued to him/her before. This "just get another passport" won't work.
You go to a visa run, remember what they do there at the border...they type your passport info to the computer...
wrong.
please reread what he wrote and understand the difference between an entry and a visa
To make this clear one more time.
My old passport has 4 touristvisas and 5 entries + 3 extensions.
Then new passport from Finland.
New passport 3 touristvisas and 7 entries + 2 extensions.
After all this I got double entry visa last tuesday from Vientiane with red stamp.
So now 4 visas and 8 entries, one entry to use.
All visas I used as back to back, only in Finland I stayed 3 weeks.
Hope make some sense now to all.

I wonder whether they suspect that he is working illegally in Thailand especially if he is under 50 years of age. Let's wait and see other reports.
Bishop
I think that is the way to look this. 40 years but not working. Well, I can tell you I'm happy Owen did score last sunday and I saw flush in my screen awhile ago

Actually if You count my old passport too, it's more. One single entry from KL, two single entry from Vientiane and one double entry from Vientiane. And don't forget that one multientry non-o I got from Helsinki Consulate in year 2007. Oh, and have to add 6 or 7 extension too. So roll over again
, don't care a bit what you think. Haven't done anything wrong or illegal, there just is no other visa for me.
SO four tourists visa entries in your new passport and 1+2+2 in your old. So that makes nine tourist visas. So they are probably counting only the number of entries and check them from a central database.
No. Check again. This new passport has now 4 visas and 9 entries, they count that new visa they gave too. So after this visa I have 9 entries and they may not accept application anymore.
edit. Oh yes, now I see what you mean. I have 9 visas but entries much more.
There was more people who got this stamp. Do you think here in forum that everybody who go get visa reads this forum? No, they do not.

Haven't done anything wrong or illegal, there just is no other visa for me.
Obtain Non-O multiple entry visa on the basis of visiting friends from Perth or some of the honorary consulates in Europe is an alternative option.
Ok that can do. Helsinki gave one before. But I still haven't done anything illegal or wrong, that was my point.
Can you please confirm if you previous visas were back to back or spaced out??As your previous visa was from Helsinki, well outside the local region,
it does rather sound like a knee jerk reaction from Vientienne.
Helsinki, Vientiane, Vientiane and now again Vientiane. Never stayed outside Thailand more than 1-2 nights.

NINE tourist visa's
Hardly a geuine tourist.

btw, I saw man who didn't got this stamp and he said he has lived here 7 years with TR visas. Maybe something to do with that he applied only single entry visa?

anyone else can confirm that "red stamp" story?
It's not just a story. I can put picture of that on forum when I get home. I saw one more guy got same stamp.

I got my 2 entry visa today in Vientiane. I have one 3 entry visa from Helsinki and two 2 entry visas from Vientiane before that.
Today I also got red stamp beside my visa:
"Remark: The holder has travelled to Thailand with Tourist Visa 9 times. The Embassy may not accept the application next time"

NakhonSawan is a relatively big town and there must be PLENTY of travel agents.....
I wonder if you live in town or in a small village around there..... just walk around the main roads and I am sure you will come accross one..... or ask locals......
I have never seen travel agent in Nakhon Sawan and I have walked quite a lot there

If you hang out in Big C you will meet a lot of foreigners at (mon/wed/fri- 12-2pm)...i see them , but not hang out with them, as i dont wish to be drunk by early noon/afternoon ...but i do not criticise them for what they do, most of them much older than me...
mbox
lol, everybody there are not drunk. I myself drink there 2-3 beers when waiting my bus to home. Or when my missys is shopping like crazy, then I just don't want to be in her way
. Just sit down sometime, nice to see new faces.

Where I can see timetable for train Tha Naleng - Nong Khai? Somewhere it say depart 16.00 and some says 17.00. Is there bus to train station from bus station? Just in case I don't catch the first bus to Udon from Vientiane after I get my visa, I think I will try this way

1. I heard from a woman that the border is closed, is this true??
2. I go to Mae Sot, pay 500 B, cross and can stay there for a day or leave if I want to?
3. I will get 15 days, can I get any more or only 15?
4. Can I drive a Motorbike from Kanchanaburi into Myanmar or should I leave it on the border?
5. I have 2 pages in my passport left and would like to get pages extended after I go to Mae Sot, what do you think about this?
Hope You can help and thank you to all that has posted!!!!!
1. Would be in news if closed
2. In Mae Sot you exit Thailand, cross bridge, give your passport to Burma officer, pay 500b, they will ask you how long want stay, one day maybe possible but only in Myawaddy. (someone correct me on this?)
3. 15 days it is, no more
4. No idea
5. Mae Sot -Myawaddy takes half of page, four stamps, exit and entry for both
