  1. The point is, a number of people have mentioned receiving a red stamp, there is a long discussion about that. But, very few were denied a visa as in this OP'S case. But, I don't recall anyone being denied a visa at another location, so that they couldn't continue to stay or visit. If one choses not to apply somewhere else, that's their choice.

I think it shoud be easy to understand that tourist-visas are for tourists only.

Everybody likes to stay longer can/shoud apply for a adequate visa.!? And there are a lot of possibilitys as mentioned in other parts of the forum.

    Happy New Year

Ok, what visa should apply? Under 50y, not married thai or no have friends to visit, not want to go school, not want to start business, not want to invest money. Just want to be tourist all year long because can affort that kind of living.

  2. In the "Red Warning stamp" thread the OP informed us he has 9 entries using his current passport, and adds the number would be more if previous passport entries were included. That kind of suggests to me that the immigration system is hooked to looking at single passport number only. So, obtaining a new passport may circumvent the system ... for now.

Actually, he has 5 tourist visas in his old one and four in the new passport (either single or double entries). So they calculated both. They do have computers and central database in Thailand and check the person whether he/she is blacklisted and what kind of visas have been issued to him/her before. This "just get another passport" won't work.

You go to a visa run, remember what they do there at the border...they type your passport info to the computer...

    wrong.

please reread what he wrote and understand the difference between an entry and a visa

To make this clear one more time.

My old passport has 4 touristvisas and 5 entries + 3 extensions.

    Then new passport from Finland.

New passport 3 touristvisas and 7 entries + 2 extensions.

After all this I got double entry visa last tuesday from Vientiane with red stamp.

So now 4 visas and 8 entries, one entry to use.

All visas I used as back to back, only in Finland I stayed 3 weeks.

Hope make some sense now to all.

  3. Actually if You count my old passport too, it's more. One single entry from KL, two single entry from Vientiane and one double entry from Vientiane. And don't forget that one multientry non-o I got from Helsinki Consulate in year 2007. Oh, and have to add 6 or 7 extension too. So roll over again :) , don't care a bit what you think. Haven't done anything wrong or illegal, there just is no other visa for me.

SO four tourists visa entries in your new passport and 1+2+2 in your old. So that makes nine tourist visas. So they are probably counting only the number of entries and check them from a central database.

No. Check again. This new passport has now 4 visas and 9 entries, they count that new visa they gave too. So after this visa I have 9 entries and they may not accept application anymore.

edit. Oh yes, now I see what you mean. I have 9 visas but entries much more.

There was more people who got this stamp. Do you think here in forum that everybody who go get visa reads this forum? No, they do not.

  4. Haven't done anything wrong or illegal, there just is no other visa for me.

Obtain Non-O multiple entry visa on the basis of visiting friends from Perth or some of the honorary consulates in Europe is an alternative option.

Ok that can do. Helsinki gave one before. But I still haven't done anything illegal or wrong, that was my point.

Can you please confirm if you previous visas were back to back or spaced out??

As your previous visa was from Helsinki, well outside the local region,

it does rather sound like a knee jerk reaction from Vientienne. :)

Helsinki, Vientiane, Vientiane and now again Vientiane. Never stayed outside Thailand more than 1-2 nights.

  5. NINE tourist visa's :) Hardly a geuine tourist.

Actually if You count my old passport too, it's more. One single entry from KL, two single entry from Vientiane and one double entry from Vientiane. btw, I saw man who didn't got this stamp and he said he has lived here 7 years with TR visas. Maybe something to do with that he applied only single entry visa?

  6. NakhonSawan is a relatively big town and there must be PLENTY of travel agents.....

I wonder if you live in town or in a small village around there..... just walk around the main roads and I am sure you will come accross one..... or ask locals......

I have never seen travel agent in Nakhon Sawan and I have walked quite a lot there

  7. If you hang out in Big C you will meet a lot of foreigners at (mon/wed/fri- 12-2pm)...i see them , but not hang out with them, as i dont wish to be drunk by early noon/afternoon ...but i do not criticise them for what they do, most of them much older than me...

    mbox

lol, everybody there are not drunk. I myself drink there 2-3 beers when waiting my bus to home. Or when my missys is shopping like crazy, then I just don't want to be in her way :) . Just sit down sometime, nice to see new faces.
