Pan house is indeed nice (stayed there for 2 months) but if you are just after something basic then of course there are plenty of other places. Aree mansions washing machines havent been working for ages. Pretty basic place.

Another option is a new building where I think (if my memory serves me correct) is 3,500 baht. It is located in the small street behind the 7 11 (part of a petrol station) which is on uppalisan road near the intersection to the airport.

Three options. Risotto as mentioned above, Spago's on Chaengsanit Road or Peppers on Uppalisan road opposite the entrance to the airforce base.

Yes the Sunee Hotel and complex is completed, its has shopping, 10 pin bowling and a waterpark Tawan Dang is on the ring road close to the Big C. But thats a long walk from the Sunee Grand. Also there are resturant bars behind the big C that play Issan music but I am not sure how family friendly. You might try around the lake as well, the have resturaunt that have house bands but most only serve Issan food.

One of the newer restaurants by the lake has a fish spa, where you sit with your feet in a tank of Piranhas - well, small fish - which nibble the dead skin of your feet in quite a pleasant way.

Yes nice place, nice owner but average steak.

Seeing as we are not in the same area FC I hope you don't mind if I piggy back your thread to say that we have an immediate position available for a waitress at Peppers Bakery and Cafe in Ubon and a easier position manning a cake display at the Sunee Grand hotel.

I would suggest the Sunee but yes they are within walking distance - approx 1km.

I have been told that Sirindorn Dam has the best course in the area.

25 - 35,000 would be my guess.

I got my kids ones done in Ubon.

Actually my first ever motorbike I got when I was 7 and I had to pay half of it. All other bikes I had to pay fully by myself.

Sorry if I came across a little strong, I should have worded it a little better. I am just surprised that you would want to buy such a big expensive thing for a 17 year old without offering him any incentive. Why not tell him to save up half and you will pay the other half when he has - at least he might look after it that way.

Has he got a job, can he not buy one himself?
