  1. "I carry two cooked sausages in a poo bag when I take the dog out. When the dog takes a <deleted> I pretend to pick it up but never do. Never have. Anyone says anything and I point to the bag pretending it's poo. After walkies me and the dog have a sausage each. We often get funny looks"
  2. A an error occurred , it was corrected. Is that what the op is saying?
  3. Rare as hen's teeth we is! ???? But we really do have a cheap rental and for a long period and a pleasant landlady. We also rented out our own house which was much too big for us after time and had 5 tenants in 7 years non of whom left the house in condition that did not need a couple of weeks work. 5 of them forfeited their deposits for not completing the contracted term. Now sold, and at an acceptable profit.
  4. Depends what the contract says. That said we tend to go 50-50 with our landlady of 8 years at the same rent with 3 more years just extended at the same price. And we have just done exactly that, 50-50 on a new pump.
  5. "Stenson said: I am absolutely thrilled and delighted to be the European Ryder Cup Captain – it is a huge honour and I was humbled to get the call confirming the news. I would like to thank the selection panel for believing in me and will say to them, and every European golf fan, that I will do everything in my power and leave no stone unturned in the quest to get the Ryder Cup back in European hands." ????
  6. Yet another old over the hill golfer probably going to LIV. But what a sellout. Confirmed as Ryder Cup captain which likely to be stripped of with maybe Thomas Bjorn taking over. Just how low can you go for money? Already earned $32 million not counting endorsements.
  7. Well done Cam Smith now off to LIV with you. Probably need the money.
  8. 8 years in power, had plenty of time to create a VERY substantial pension pot along with his cronies.
  9. It was tempting until I read many of the comments. Oh, and the fact that I don't have anything remotely close to 40 million baht.
  10. Any RECENT experiences of a general health check up in Chiang Mai and cost and hospital? Thanks
  11. Awesome so far. Now that is what golf is all about. Heart says Rory but he is prone to the odd really stupid mistake so I think Hovland may just edge it.
  12. I received my UK driving licence HERE (via relative) 10 days after applying. And free cos I am an old fart. ????
  13. So where have the millions of tourists gone, oh yes, Vietnam, Cambodia etc.
  14. The guys who normally wear uniforms and will "win" the next election-again!
  15. Sold ours last year also, luckily, despite all the problems. Had a 30+ year lease as well. Not leaving though, have a lovely little rental at a good price will do for us.
  16. Still no idea of the price of fuel in Thailand and been here a long time. Just buy 1000 baht normally, sometimes 500 baht, never noticed the price as I need fuel to get around.
  17. Not only know of it but they would have to be in on it as mentioned earlier.
  18. As mentioned, the key fob has not worked for some time. I use the key, that has no fob. to start the car and up until now operated the central locking from the external lock on the driver's door. Checked today, and the key, without the fob, will lock the central locking as before. However, it will only unlock the driver's door and not the others. The problem has nothing to do with a key fob.
  19. Yes, it's not that. As I said the ignition key has been working fine until a couple of days ago. Loose wiring somewhere perhaps.
