  1. For Standard Thai *นะ* beside OK it also mean Please.

ไปด้วยกันนะ นะ นะ นะ Please go together...please please please...

Beside นะ central Thai also have เนอะ.

Is different because เนอะ is more like a question/wondering particle.

  2. guy how about this nothern use of ก๋า..? [บ่อห่านก๋า]

    similiar right?

For all readers dont be confuse, this is not Standard Thai language, please skip it when you're not learning Northern Thai.

    ก๋า = questioning = isnt?

    กะ/ก่ะ = confirming = oh really

    ก้า=wondering/thinking about something but not sure = i think/i guess/maybe

    Examples :

บ่อห่านก๋า Dont you see it? <--- is asking you're not seeing it or something?

บ่อห่านกะ/ก่ะ Dont you see. <---not asking you but only confirm your action.

บ่อห่านก้า Dont think he/she see it. <---maybe/not sure he or she see it

ก้า can be as well as a question as well as not, depend on how someone is saying.

Another word people tend to use after ก้า is ห๋า to volume up and becomes like a question.

บ่อห่านก้าห๋า <---when these 2 are together is really a questioning either for the person who is saying (mostly wonder question for themself) or to other person (lesser).

Overall ก๋า-ก่ะ/กะ is similar to Japanese Desu Ka. Even with no question mark...it is a question.

  3. There is no real officially made Lanna language or i mean the good reform since MFL dictionary. Plus how can Lanna language be officially stated like what's in MFL dictionary anyway.

MFL must have use Chiang Mai dialect as a base.

Since people from all places speaking differently. Is sure okay to learn and took it from MFL or Peace corps as your basic foundation but keep in mind not everyone speak like those books.

Living language is different then what's written. Be flexible, adjust to your situation, just because someone saying a bit different doesnt mean is not correct.

Example บะ or บ่า they are the same, some people use บะ some use บ่า. Why? Due different ethnic background. Tai Yuan, Tai Yong, Tai Khuen, Tai Lue, Tai Yai ect...

  4. 'noh' is more likely to be used in suggestion for an agreement. For example, today weather is good, don't you think so? Wan nee agaat dee, noh?

Yes, that was my understanding too as in ...'we're coming too, right?' but is it a 'northern thing'? or is it heard all over? (I've not had that much exposure to Thai in the rest of the country :) )

Same meaning but Noh is more Northern usage. Either you use any of them it is understood by all people. Just different accent and dialect.

  5. Jao is northern Thai (Kam Muang) particle mostly use by women/girls or yes guys with girly hormones.

While similar to Ja which is more use in other regions only that this particle is used by both men and women.

Jao also means , Lord , ruler or You (in oud Tai language refer to other person as Jao = You). If you ever heard old Thai poems or read it you will know. Lao people still use it today refer Jao as You.

To put in another way it also mean when you hear Sawaddee Jao = Hello to you, also meaning usage in older days and i mean a few 100 years ago.

Now a days people just indicate as a greeting.

  6. I believe one opened at Phitsanulok this year, how far away is that?

    http://thailand-busi...our-new-outlets

That's closer, now down to about 200 km each way.

Even closer Bill they have them in Makro's K.P.Phet that's only 60k away from you. If you look they have fan powered one's as well and their bigger. But the grill is still crap.

    Thanks Fredob

Hope he gets what he needs soon, best wishes.....

Thank you so much for your kindness. As hearing now the person got his blood by very good hearted lady i belive she's of Dutch national. Am sure there's more people who went donate blood for him. Thank you to all.

About 1000 Thais you will have 3 people with - RH blood.

  9. Now i want to know how people in TV feels about after seeing this? Many Thais are angry by claims had been made by Koreans (from the vdo clip). Does it really look like Egyptian martial arts? Or...like Thai world famous sport?

My bad about the title, i don't have a clue where to edit it. :ermm:

  11. File a report, dont let this doctor get away with this. They are giving a care service they should treat you with respect and understanding. I always hate this kind of people, specially government officials. Nowadays their services are better (manner) since they can get fired when a client report the supervisor. biggrin.gif

  12. Were some of the post or a similar thread to this one about CR football being hijacking??

Yesterday i reply to Mr. Limbo about his friend, one of the victims of yesterday bus crash.

I could not find those comments anymore. What's with this system the moderators are doing???

Censorship or dictatorship??? Was trying to provide news on Mr. Limbo friend, being handle like this makes me furious!

Is already hard to know 7 fans died and 40 or more got injured, dont act like this okay TV!

P.S Mr. Limbo, your friend is alive, he got 2 broken legs. I don't know when serious injured fans will be transfer back to CR.

But today many light injured fans flew safety back to CR. Bodies of those who died arrive back today too, the webmaster body will be cremated on this wednesday. I'm sure you'll get futher info from your friends. Would be nice if you can be on the funeral.

I dont have info when the cremation of Fansclub president will be plan. Ask your friends about it though.
