  1. very nice.......wats going on.............get it?............sorry :D

actually i like it..very arty due to the contrast...you could probably blow it up and sell them as prints and make a bit of money.........especially to the tourists.good luck :o

  2. Very sad event and my condolences to the family of the deceased.

We may never know the facts, but it "sounds" like the small man with the big ego got pushed onto his arse in front of his friends and over-reacted in an attempt to save face.

The tragic thing is that it probably worked. In not too long, he'll be back in the bar getting respect/face from the idiots that he was trying to impress.

Let's not try to justify this killing on the basis that the Canadian was possibly drunk and behaving badly. If he was, then he deserved a bit of a beating at the most, but to kill a guy for this is obscene and anyone who tries to justify it needs to take a good look at themselves.

just like to say i agree with everything you wrote......very well put :o

  3. hey nobodys perfect "every notice how bad the subtitles are"....this dont make sense hahah :D

seriously yeh makes me laugh sometimes but generally when there are subtitles in english i cant help but read them instead of listening properly which then gets on my nerves all the mistakes i see and spoils the film for me a bit.you would have thought they could translate then get a farang to double check ..just an idea :o

  4. im sure he will sudenly dissappear if it hits the international headlines as he may have to do serious time then well until it all dies down then can let him out to carry on as usual....wont even get demoted.

as we dont know the facts and probably never will then its hard to comment properly but saying that it does look a bit extreme that he shot both of them.if he(the cop) was being overpowered then usually any thais in the vicinity would help him......i think this will be an over reaction by a possibly drunk policeman or something irregular like that as why did he initially run away.....thais normally only do this when completely in wrong and witness s there too.be good to here the ladies story and truth will be somewhere in between !!!!! :o

  5. i think you will be ok for money,it is generally cheap here but as every night is like a friday night back home then you end up spending a lot on booze and birds(youre young so probably get free ride but then you gotta feed them, buy there drinks allnight, take them shopping for expensive items and then send them money every month after youve gone home!!).discos here are expensive on the drink front and generally open longer than uk especially in pattaya/phuket/samui.

Obviously depends on how active you are gonna be in thailand too...if you stay in basic accomodation and lounge about the beach just sunbathing daytimes and take it easy at night then might come home with a bit leftover but if you jetski,go shooting, rent big bike/cars,shopping,gogo bars, disco everynight, fancy restaurants etc then will spend most or all......but dont worry spend spend spend and when its really low then be a tightwad or borrow from an even tighter mate...theres always one!!!have fun...and start saving for your next trip because you will want to come back very soon again

  6. YEH SHOPPING HERE REALLY GETS ON MY TITS.......EVERYTIME.

THEY HAND OUT A LEAFLET AT DOOR WITH LOTS OF ITEMS ON SALE .......GO INSIDE....SORRY SIR WE HAVENT RECEIVED THIS ITEM YET IN STOCK OR SOLD OUT ALREADY OR THIS BRANCH NOT GOING TO HAVE THAT.....WHY HAND OUT THE <deleted> LEAFLETS THEN?? ALSO GO HOMEWORK PATTAYA....GET LEAFLET,KITCHENS ON SALE.GOOD I WANT A KITCHEN...SO FAR SO GOOD.....THEN PRICE 6000 HIGHER THAN IN LEAFLET....ASK....ANSWER ,THIS IS BANGKOK PRICE( IM IN PATTAYA),GREAT BANGKOK GET IT CHEAPER,,,WHY??? NOBODY THERE KNOWS.I COULD PAY SOMEONE TO DELIVER(ORGANISE IT MYSELF ,NOT THRU SHOP) AND STILL SAVE MONEY BUT WOULD HAVE TO GET SOMEONE TO PUT TOGETHER ETC SO IN THE END NEARLY SAME PRICE,BUT WHY HAND OUT THE LEAFLET.

ALSO I AGREE THAT WHY DISPLAY AN ITEM IN SHOP MONTH AFTER MONTH THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE...VERY HELPFUL.

GOT AN INDEX LEAFLET....I GOTO SHOP TO SEE IF I LIKE SOME ITEMS....NONE ON DISPLAY BUT HAVE IN STOCK....YOU HAVE TO BUY FROM PIC IN LEAFLET AND CANT TAKE BACK IF YOU DONT LIKE .....GREAT.....SO I DONT BUY.AND IT GOES ON AND ON.............GO TO SMALL SHOP,BUY PAINT....GO TO USE ....CANT AS BEEN STANDING YEARS AND OVER USEBY DATE BY AT LEAST 1 YEAR.GOTO LARGE SHOP,WANNA BUY CHEAP DVD PLAYER,OK NO PROBLEM....HAVE GUARANTEE ,YES,HOW LONG .....6 DAYS.........THEY HAVE A LOT OF FAITH IN THERE WORKMANSHIP HAHAHA.AND ON AND ON.GOD (BUDDHA)GIVE ME STRENGTH.COULD WRITE A NOVEL ON THIS SUBJECT!!!

Its just a good refrence guide for people that wants to buy a new/2nd hand bike here...

siam superbike has moved to location near tesco lotus on sukhumvit.

you should read all the threads first before replying old man and you would realise they were all talkin about siam superbike in bkk that closed.....wally. :D

(sorry if someone else said same but i cant be bothered to read other comments)

isn't the above a quote from you in another topic from a few days ago? :bah:

yes i did write that so i didnt look stupid if someone else had wrote same already..........but im glad your reading all my comments on tv,you might learn something :D:D:D

  8. IMMIGRATION....WHAT IS IMMIGRATION.

i arrive at departure drop off area in my stretcth complimentary limo where im duly picked up by a stretched electric leather seated cart and driven straight to my private jet (engine running ofcourse).....though this is where it all goes tits up...i have to physically walk up the 4 steps to my sumptious lazy boy chair and away we go,u may not believe and thats up to you and some will wonder how.......well i will tell you....i once bumped into a thai chinese guy called thaksin in a bar in patpong a few years ago..well we got talkin and drinkin as you do and had a fantastic night and met up and got drunk (and other stuff) for the next 3 nights which bonded our friendship forever ..anyway he gave me a thaksin privelige card that only him and a few close members of his family have...and of course me .it gives great benefits hence the v.i.p treatment at his airport, also just to make you even more jealous i also get 100 sms free everymonth(local of course)

  9. Thanks for the detailed answer.

But I am pretty sure, that it is table football like you picture shows. That is because I made the special handmoves while discussing.

    L.M.A.O. :D:D:D:D

IM PRETTY SURE THE TABLE FOOTBALL IS NOT ILLEGAL.........AND MAYBE THEY DONT KNOW THE SPECIAL HAND MOVES YOU WERE MAKING WHILE DISCUSSING,MAYBE THEY THOUGHT YOU WERE JUST ANOTHER CRAZY FARANG :o

Why is the human in the cage and the parrots have the freedom?

because the parrots have bigger brains in this case :D

to OP......i scrolled down in trepidation waitin for the spectacular thing what you saw today!! then got to the end and realised oh...its just what you saw today ......not a WOW look at what i saw today type thing, like something real unusual even for pattaya.my fault. :o

  11. That might be a very empty thread. In the two years I been here Iv seen 3 cases of violence. Two were some British guys beating up on Russian guys and one was between a Thai taxi driver and a big drunken Norwegian.

If you wanted to write a thread about the violence in my home town Copenhagen, then it would be quite busy. Taking a stroll down the walking street of Copenhagen around 2AM on a Saturday night will reveal more cases of violence than you will see here in a month.

you dont get out much here then :o . do u live in bkk as we are talkin about pattaya,i would agree bangkok doesnt have the no where near the same amount of drunken idiots causing trouble as pattaya does.if you dont think theres much violence here then check out the hospitals and see how many bleeding farangs they have had in each night...i think you will be surprised....and they dont all go to the hospital unless in a real bad way :D .sorry but i have seen more than your 3 cases of violence in 2 years in just one long night here....probably have to stay out later than 2am though and go a few discos :D

  12. I'd have to agree with DonTron, In all honesty my hometown makes this place

look like captain kangeroo's kiddie playhouse. Maybe that's why I get upset

when I see the senseless violence and people being so inconsiderate. And that

would be all kinds of people, visiting foreigners and the locals also.

In a little over a year I've also personally witnessed 3 incidents where locals

blindsided a visitor, striking with some form of weapon at the back of the head.

which is why I now don't let Thais walk behind me and when they enter my

personal space I know where they are at all times. And they're aware I know. :D

your hometown sounds a bit dodge ......as in a year here you seen 3 foreigners get smacked round the head with a weapon for no reason at all......your hometown must be lovely....not :D .it must be nice and relaxing being away from this town and only having to walk around worrying about which thai might smack u :o

  13. Might be far easier to check PCN or Patters Today. :o

maveric.....he did say incidents not in local media as they just get the tip of the iceberg....they aint got enough room to print everything reported to police let alone the majority and some serious incidents that never get reported. :D

  14. as i dont go out as regularly as i use to then wont be as much for me to report,i think it all depends on your lifestyle as to how much trouble/violence you see or get in :o .......if you go out everynight late to the busiest areas as i did then i could report something everynight ......99 percent was farang-farang problem or thai lady to thai lady problem due to amount of booze/ice ingested.also when i had a bar in soi 8 years ago i would see/have trouble on a nightly basis again due to people changing after intoxification.if you goto the late night discos and jp bar then im sure much to report........maybe would be easier to have this thread for thai-thai or thai-farang problems outside of bars/ discos as any bar/disco in any country has its problems with fighting.

    i personally have been involved in many violent situations while here but as i said i used to go out everynight to discos/bars.heres just a few;

i have been bottled by a thai lady while trying to prevent a friends thai girlfriend being beaten up by a group of thai ladies.

i have been severely beaten up in a bar after being sucker punched by a thai guy while i played pool then kicked unconscious by him and 2 brave english guys.........i woke up in a ladies room(no not the toilet!) the next day and dont even know how long i was unconscious for(didnt even take me to hospital :D ).i still have balance problems since the attack.this was a totally unprovoked attack but i will tell you why i was attacked by the thai guy as may help you in the future.............i was very generous to this thai guy on a daily basis(he is sort of street beggar but thinks he can bodyguard you by attaching himself to you),he used to hang about around me everytime i was out....i didnt want him to and ignored him generally although would feel sorry for him and buy him a drink or two and give some food money(even paid for him to get laid once in a while)his brother is a good thai boxer and a friend of mine so didnt mind helping him a bit......anyway he started to get greedier and greedier and started asking for money to pay for his room etc.well enough is enough, this had gone on for months already and i decided to cut all ties and told him so ,i would not be giving him anymore money as hes not my responsibility and could maybe find some sort of job.anyway when other farangs fed him drinks and he was high on yabba he would try to start a fight with me and we nearly did a few times.....we had been out of the bar on several occasions in which he backed down so i didnt hit him......but obviously this time he decided not to say anything and sucker punched me while i played pool.....2 english guys high on drugs/booze then decided they were brave(im english too) and kicked me for several minutes while i was on the floor......could have killed me but was saved that by some of the regular ladies at the bar(no other guys there as staff/customers mostly gone).anyway i have got the thai guy and 1 of the english guys back at a later date(cant remember what other english guy looks like and anyway they were holidaymakers).

moral of this story ....dont give poor thai guys money as can backfire!!!!!

i have been involved in many other incidents here but this was due to agressive drunks startin trouble first.

in my opinion pattaya can be fairly safe place if you stick to certain rules.....dont get involved with drunken thais, dont go to late night discos/bars....by late night i mean after 2 am when all the real a holes are really drunk.

i have seen many thai thai incidents and told not to get involved no matter what by the boss(my thai mrs) as thais dont take to kindly to farangs getting involved and can turn on you even if your just trying to help.......dont do it.

i just stick up for myself and am not into violence and try to calm down/avoid volatile situations when possible but this is a town that is daily like a busy fri night in a large town in uk where there is also a lot of stupid agressive drunks making trouble out of nothing.

thats why i think this thread would be better if only related to the more unusual incidents although you may see something and not know the whole story so then you may see it differently to what it is.

thais can turn violent over a few baht if you have cheated them or they think you have cheated them ie baht bus drivers.....bar security etc and to be honest i think most of the farangs that get beaten up by thai people is usually well deserved .....as i said most(not all :D )

  16. sorry for your loss camille.

you say you was the only one to take xanex......was there really anti depressants and valium there too or is this <deleted>.

people are interested in this sad demise because he was so young,we are used to the oldies, sick and skint people dying out here.

im afraid anything on the news here or anywhere is never the whole truth but thats the only thing people have to go by so dont be too upset with people as it is human nature to speculate when facts are not present.

also i think some people are worried as a lot of people here take valium after a heavy drinkin session so in one way they are wanting to know the truth as could happen to them if it happened to your fella.

did he have a history of any illnesses, heart problems etc that you knew of? was he extremely drunk that night and could have taken something to sleep as well without you knowing.also you say you are a light sleeper.....maybe but isnt that the whole point of sleeping tablets....they knock you out and you dont know stuff til you wake up,so you may think you was only in a light sleep.

also as many of us know thailand has a variety of drugs on offer so when someone dies so young here or anywhere the first thing anyone thinks is drug overdose.i wish you all the best and hope the real truth comes out for you as it is a tragedy for your man to die so young.dont get too angry with some of the posters comments as normally they do not expect someone involved in the case to read them...otherwise im sure they would have been more sensitive in there comments.i hope anyway.take care

  17. I know a guy who met Billy Idol in Patpong after his concert some ten years ago. Behaved like bull in a China Shop and the BKK Post reported later that he also left not much usable furniture in the Oriental after he checked out....

im sure not many thai people there would know who he was ...just think hes another drunk farang on the rampage......by saying bull in a china shop i presume you mean he was buying like crazy at the market there :o

  18. just my tuppence worth.......lots of minorish uk celebrities as worked at gyms for over 10 years,so football players, rugby players, athletes, models,tv actors etc.also did some security at ginger spices(gerri halliwel from spice girls) mansion.it was a new yrs eve party so many celebs...biggest international one being george michael i suppose but lots of uk celebs/models...katie price, des o connor blah blah blah.lots of nice cars too.what do i win haha.

to be honest they are all mostly normal down to earth people but just have an unusual job in that they get seen by many when they are workin...but also some can be miserable <deleted> that are too special to converse with general public.

cant understand some people who worship these sort or who are star struck.....they are no more special than you or me are although in some way there are advantages but also some big disadvantages to being recognised.

  19. 1. are these legal businesses (work permit?) in thailand? selling shirts or whatever on ebay?

    2. doesn't the post office in thailand report/get parnoid when they see these guys coming everyday with ten packages, or do they hire a thai person to do that?

I am looking for some product to take from thailand to the USA that my aging parents can sell on ebay to generate some spare money for them. many of you are in this business so i understand it if you will not help, but if someone used to do the ebay thing and moved on to something bigger, i would appreciate the help.

from what i've seen, everything you can think of is sold on ebay and the pricing is thus competitive.

1.haha no chance, anyway if your "taking them" why would you need a work permit and its your dear old parents that are working/selling them in usa.(not sure i believe this part but well done for trying :o )

2.post office couldnt give a monkeys.....why would they.customs might have a nose though both in thailand and usa......isnt there a tax for items sent to usa, there is from uk to there.

and also you seem to know that everything is already sold on ebay.....so if you want to do, then pick something already done and be competitive and hope it sells and be on your computer everyday listing items, checking, relisting etc and queing at post office on a daily basis as will have to sell in high numbers to make it slightly profitable.you could sell copy gear and last a few days at a time, hope you got loads of credit cards so you can reregister with ebay each time.

    goodluck

  20. hello, our stupid mutt is always going under the car or up against dirty motorbike.nearly on a daily basis and hes all white.washing up liquid in concentrated form shifts a lot. rub area with undiluted first then rinse well......if its really bad then something like nail polish remover seems to do the trick, obviously only use small amount on a rag and rinse after getting grease off.doesnt seem to cause him any probs but he dont like the smell of it so be quick.

  21. I think people will be surprised to learn that many of the government hospitals are quite advanced in this procedure. Over the past two years there have been a number of training sessions/seminars provided to upgrade knowledge and skills. This has gone hand in hand with the WHO blessing and the reversal of several medical organizations positions that were formerly positive, then went negative during the politically charged 80's and are now back to the positive position subsequent to all the clinical studies being effected over the past decade.

The big caution I give is that the question to be asked is how many of the procedures has the doctor performed. As they say, practice males perfect. I'd be hesitant to go near some urologists in Thailand that haven't seen much of this. Adult snips are significantly different than the infant procedures. There are variables in the healing and complications. (Infants heal faster and are less prone to erections that can cause wounds to tear.) Note too that there are a few different methods used today. The Malayasian method relies on the ball and string method and its proponents swear by its speed of healing. There may also be physician preferences as to format ( complete removal v. the partial slice. that leaves part of the prepuce in place.) My personal preference is for the complete procedure since it removes the areas prone to HPV, locations with high concentrations of langerhans receptors (HIV) and the parts that usually develop the cancer.

Although patients are asked to refrain from fun, the intent isn't so much to prevent physical damage as it's more along the lines of preventing infection since there will be a wound. Extra emphasis is placed on the caution now because the Bailey studies showed that the post circumcision patients that contracted HIV did so in part because they engaged in unprotected sexual contact while the wound was still healing. (No brainer I know, but I tossed that in in case anyone was interested.)

"i tossed that in in case anyone was interested"

    very appropriate expression :o:D:D

  22. After a tip from his friend, who said that he read in a book that my husband's type of penis (just to clear the air, his best friend inserted some beads into the shaft of hubby's member a long way back...which is perhaps another topic in itself but for those who dont know it is a fairly common practice with Thai men, in the South at least. But I digress, anyway that is why his friend knows what hubby's buddy looks like) could develop cancer.

Sure enough he went to the doctor today and the doc said that he had come just in the nick of time and that he must have a circumcision as soon as possible.

Now because my husband lacks the medical terms in English and I was not at the doctors ,so I could not ask him, I dont know why he needs this. From what he has told me it has something to do with the foreskin on the head coming together or growing together....Now as far as I am concerned he has a normal looking un-circumsided penis, but then again I certainly dont consider myself an expert. :o

I found: Phimosis. after I googled. But it says that it comes from foreskin infection and he has never had an infection, at least to his or my knowledge. And includes swelling, again he has never experienced this either.

Well that is certainly more information then I ever thought I would share on a forum!

Anyway just thought someone out there might have an idea what this is about.

It only costs 1500 baht so I don't think the dr. is only trying to make money.

Also if any men out there have had this done as an adult, will my husband be laid up for a long time? The doctor said wear a saraong for one week, refrain from any 'fun' for 1 month but that was it.

    Thanks in advance

"and includes swelling, again he has never experienced this either"

ooooops i hope he has experienced some swelling in that area before or you could try viagra, ive heard its readily available in this country :D
