I hire a car and leave from patong at 5am,this ensures i get to the andaman club pier at 8.15am in order to catch the first boat at 8.45am.I usually arrive back in patong between 1.30-2.30pm.

If you left for ranong at say 11am,you would not get there much before 3pm (on the bus),and would not return until 9-10pm.

Either way,its a 12 hour round trip by bus,9-10 hours by car.

Fully understand that mate,however when the F.A Cup WAS available in thailand the matches were always listed as live on the truevision live schedule search, channels 65 espn and 66 start sports are on that list.

Is there a thai equivalent for the expression that someone is 'doing your head in'?

e.g. my boss is doing my head in, he won't stop going on and on

or you are doing my head in, why don't you listen?

That's the kind of usage for this expression that I mean.

Heard a number of reports over the last week or so of plain clothes police from bangkok raiding bars in kata,and demanding 50,000 baht from bar owners who are playing music without a licence,if the bar owners do not pay,they face an appearance in a bangkok court,in one instance a computer used for playing music was seized,and in another a bar owner was fined for using copy cd's.

Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Ok,so if i do convert it to stirling,and get stopped will they take anything over 50000bht? i would transfer it,but my thai bank were adamant they needed a work permit copy.

Cant really see any other way of getting it back.
